As my mother and I walk across the green grass of the cemetery, I can't help but think this is to creep. Everywhere I look, there are headstones and statues just staring at you. I'm not crazy about being here. Why did they bury my aunt in the back?
"Mom are we almost there yet?" I complained. I'm only here to support my mom.
"Yes, Isabella it's just a couple of feet away. And Isabella why are you acting like a kid? I didn't know you were five years old?" My mom said, laughing. She always makes that joke just because I don't like walking.
"Haha" I know she means well, but seriously why make that joke. Crazy old lady.
Walking to my aunt's headstone, I could feel the air being more chilly than the rest. Near her headstone was a grey bench with a little design. There we sat just thinking and wondering. As I scanned the headstone and the ground, something shines in the light. Slowly I walked up to the headstone and bent over to pick up whatever was on the ground. To my surprise, it was a ring with a blue sapphire in the middle with diamonds around it. It was so beautiful. As I turned around, I heard my mom gasped.
"That's your aunts ring!" She said, surprised. " I thought I had lost that in the house. How did it end up here?"
"I don't know. Maybe you dropped it by accident?" I said, observing the ring. "Can I keep it?"
"Sure but try not to lose it. It was your aunt's." She said with a worried look on her face.
To my surprise, the ring fits perfectly on my finger.
Raising it in the air, it looked magnificent in the sun. Lowering my head to my mom, I said
"I won't lose it Mom; it's too beautiful to miss."
