Chapter 50 - Chapter 50 - Shila

"Huh, Shara!" Raqnid was surprised to see Shara.

"Raqnid!" so is Shara.

*Shara?* The Elf woman next to Raqnid.

"What are you do—"

SLAP!

Before Raqnid could finish his question, Shara's right hand landed on his face. Then, Raqnid saw tears streaming down Shara's face.

"I hate you, Raqnid!" Shara left the place using a teleportation item.

"Wait!" Raqnid couldn't stop Shara; she disappeared in an instant.

ZHOOOP!

Wells, who had just arrived, was shocked to see his granddaughter using a teleportation device to leave the scene.

"RAQNIDDD! WHAT HAVE YOU DONE TO MY GRANDDAUGHTER!" Wells grabbed Raqnid by the collar.

"Huh? Your granddaughter?" Raqnid was confused.

"Father!" the woman next to Raqnid then called Wells by the title.

"Huh? Father?" Raqnid was even more puzzled.

Wells looked at the woman and was astonished. He then released his grip on Raqnid's collar.

"You!" Wells pointed his finger at the woman.

"Shila!" Wells said.

"Yes, this is me father!" the woman replied.

They both hugged each other, overwhelmed with emotion.

*Oi! Oi! What's happening here? Why did the aunt call this old man, Father, and why did the old man call Shara his granddaughter?* Raqnid was confused.

*Shara is Wells' granddaughter! That means Wells is Shara's grandfather... Shara is the princess of the Elf kingdom. That means Wells is the father of the Elf king... Shila calls Wells Father, meaning Shila is also of royal descent... Haha? I've been socializing with the wrong people!* Raqnid realized he had made a big mistake. All this time, he had been trying to avoid people who were famous and influential so as not to be recognized. But unknowingly, he had been mingling with royalty.

"NOOOOO!" Raqnid screamed.

"Huh?" Wells and Shila just watched Raqnid screaming.

"Let's talk inside, Father!" Shila suggested.

"Alright, while this kid accepts reality!" Wells replied.

"Where have you been all this time, Shila?" Wells asked after they sat down at the dining table.

"I was imprisoned, Father!" Shila replied.

"Imprisoned?"

"I failed to kill the Arch Dragon... So, the last resort was to imprison the dragon with me."

"So you used that power!"

"Yes, Father! I had no other choice... If not, the Elven kingdom, Nolan... Shara!" Shila started to tear up.

"I understand, you were desperate! So how did you escape!"

Shila glanced at Raqnid. Then, Wells looked in the same direction.

"Raqnid? No! It can't be him who killed..." Wells looked back at Shila.

Shila nodded in affirmation.

"Haah! Alone?"

Once again, Shila nodded.

"Hah! He couldn't be that strong!" Wells was astonished to learn this.

"So it was that night!" Wells realized something strange happened the night before they found the Dragon Heart. That night, Wells woke up from his sleep and found Raqnid missing. He searched for Raqnid but couldn't find him until the next day when Raqnid returned to their camp. That's how Wells learned of Raqnid's presence in this village.

"At first, I didn't believe Raqnid could defeat that dragon. I warned him many times to flee. But he was stubborn and fought the dragon... Heh (grinning), what surprised me the most was when an assassin could fight head-to-head with such an enemy!"

"Heh, Father didn't think he was that strong... Wait! What did you say earlier? Assassin? Raqnid!" Wells pointed his finger at Raqnid.

"Huh? Yes, Raqnid is an assassin, right? I saw him fighting with knives. Why? Did I make a mistake?"

"Raqnid using knives! Are you sure!" Wells was confused to hear that.

"Hmmm, I'm sure I saw knives, or maybe I'm mistaken... so what's Raqnid's job, Father?"

"Archer!" Wells answered uncertainly after hearing Shila's words.

"Ehhhhh! Archer! It's impossible for an archer to fight so skillfully..."

"Did you see his status?" Wells asked.

"No, I assumed he was an assassin because he also used a bow when fighting. But mostly knives, so I thought he was an assassin. How about you, Father?"

"Ummm, your assumption might be correct because assassins are skilled with many weapons besides their main weapon, knives... But, it's impossible for an assassin to be better at archery than someone with the job of an archer themselves."

"Did Raqnid defeat other archers, Father!"

Wells looked away and said very slowly. "Me!"

"Huh? Father?" after a few moments. "Ehhhhh! Raqnid defeated you, father! The king of archers!"

Wells bowed his head in embarrassment. They both fell silent, contemplating this revelation.

KPANG!

Shila stood up and slammed the table. "Raqnid must be an assassin because it's impossible for an archer to use knives. The job of an Assassin is the most suitable for Raqnid. Hmmmphh!"

"Yes, an assassin who can also use the moon shot skill alone," Wells interjected.

"Huh? Moon shot? Isn't that skill only for—"

"Hmphh!" Wells nodded.

"Haaaah!" Shila sat back down.

5 minutes later...

They both stood up from their chairs and said in unison, "DUAL JOB!"

"Yes, that's the most reasonable option for now!" Shila said.

"So, all this time, that kid has been hiding his true power... Heh, I understand!"

"Why did Raqnid hide his power, Father?"

"Raqnid isn't from this world!"

"Not from this world?"

"Reincarnation!"

"Huhhh! So, Raqnid—"

"Yes, if others knew, Hero status would be threatened!"

They both fell silent for a moment.

"Father!"

"Yes!"

"Don't you want to know Raqnid's title!"

"Hah? What do you mean?"

"Yes, Raqnid defeated an archer who holds the title King Of Archer... So, this means Raqnid's title is higher than yours!" Shila said.

"Hmmm, because Raqnid isn't a Hero, he might be Legendary!" Wells replied.

"Remember, Raqnid also defeated an Arc Dragon using knives!" Shila added.

"Twwwoo Legendary title! ARGGGHHH USELESS KID!" Wells screamed in frustration.

KPANG!

Wells slammed the table.

"Father, calm down! Father! Please calm down!" Shila intervened.

"Hurhhhh!" Wells sat back down.

"Good!" said Shila.

"Hasn't Raqnid saved you a long time ago? But why didn't you return home?" Wells asked.

"I lost my memory, Father!"

"Lost your memory! So now your memory has returned?"

"Yes, Father! My memory only recovered two days ago. I just realized who I really am."

"Haah, thank goodness you've recovered! Father's glad to meet you again!"

"I'm glad too, Father! Uhm... Father! How's Shara?"

"Heh, the woman you met earlier!"

"So it's true, that woman was Shara! (smiling) She's so beautiful!" Shila was very happy to know her daughter had grown up well.

"Yes! Shara is indeed beautiful!" Wells added.

"But why did she seem so angry earlier, Father? To the point of slapping Raqnid!"

"Hmphh! Maybe she was jealous!"

"Jealous? Of whom?" Shila was confused.

"You!"

"Of me? Why? Ohhh!" Shila began to realize what Wells meant. She looked at Wells to confirm her thoughts.

"Yes, Shara likes Raqnid!"

"Wow, how cute!" Shila said, pinching her own cheeks.

"Hah, Father never thought Shara would like that kid!"

"Well, they both seem perfect for each other!"

"Perfect! Hurghh, it's impossible! Like heaven and earth."

"Hehe, the beloved grandfather must support his granddaughter!"

"Hmphhh, the problem now isn't the grandfather but the father."

"Huh? What's wrong with Nolan?" Shila asked.

"Nolan is forcing Shara to marry the Hero!"

"WHAAT!!! WHY WOULD NOLAN DO THAT!"

"Hahhhh, ever since you've been gone, Nolan has changed a lot!"

"How has he changed?"

"Nolan is very strict with Shara to the point where she can't make any decisions. Everything, Nolan has already decided. What to eat, what to wear, who to be friends with, hobbies, and now, Shara's husband."

KPANNG! The table was slammed!

"Nolan, useless!" Shila stood up from her chair.

"Where are you going?"

"Where else, I'm going to see Nolan!"

"Be patient!"

"Father, how can I be patient anymore! How dare he force my daughter to marry! He doesn't know whether the sky is high or low."

"We need to bring that kid along!" Wells looked at Raqnid.

"Let's tell Raqnid! He probably doesn't know about Shara's current situation!"

"Wait! Shila!"

Shila left the house immediately to find Raqnid. She saw Raqnid sitting under a tree, his left arm covering his eyes, pondering his fate.

"Raqnid! We need to go to the Elf palace now!" Shila said.

"I don't want to!" Raqnid replied.

"We need to save Shara from being forced into marriage!"

Raqnid's eyes opened after hearing Shila's words, but he remained silent.

"Raqnid?" Shila was surprised to see Raqnid's lack of reaction.

Wells approached Shila and whispered to her about Raqnid and Shara.

Wells recounted how Shara and Raqnid met in unusual circumstances. Raqnid didn't recognize Shara's identity until he arrived in the Elf kingdom, and everything started from there.

"We only know Shara's feelings for Raqnid, but we don't know Raqnid's feelings for Shara. This might be unrequited love!" Wells said.

"Hey, coward!" Shila called out aggressively.

Raqnid was startled by Shila's tone and then turned to look at her.

"What else are you thinking about, huh, if you really love her! Tell her how you feel, don't let her wait any longer... What are you so afraid of? Don't care about what others say! Even if the world turns away from you! None of that matters once you have her! She will always love you, and you will face every trial and challenge together! Now it's up to you to choose, whether you want to live peacefully but alone or face challenges but with the one you love!"

After that, Shila left, followed by Wells. They both went to the Elf palace.

"Shila, what are you doing?"

"I'm sure Raqnid loves Shara!"

"But, is it okay for us to leave Raqnid like that?"

"If he really loves Shara, he'll come!"

"And if he doesn't come? What will we tell Shara later?"

"We'll think about that later!"

#####

The day of Shara and Ray's wedding arrived.

"Goodbye, Raqnid! Sob.. sob!" Shara's heart still couldn't forget Raqnid.

KBOOOOMMM!!!
