Chapter 4 - Oh My Eyes...My Poor Eyes

"En. Lihua thank you." Lu Jiao hugged Yun Lihua before she nimbly released herself from the hug. She walked into the basecamp and put the gift on the table before she turned around to look at Yun Lihua. "But don't think that you are not late. I'll punish you later." She said while tapping her watch on her left wrist exaggeratedly, signaling how late Yun Lihua was.

"I'm late?" Yun Lihua pondered for a while before she refused to accept. "I didn't late. I arrive right in time. Not a second more than the designated time."

"No. You didn't arrive on time. When you arrived here, right in front of our basecamp, ten seconds had passed. Even if it is just some seconds, Literally, you are still late." explained Lu Jiao slowly. Then, she asked others to affirmed her words, "Am i right?"

"Yes, you're right." replied Feng Ye.

"Hmmmm." Fan Linlin hummed as she agreed with Lu Jiao's reasoning.

"Indeed, you're late Lihua. But that's fine. Everyone would have ever done it once in a while" added Luo Yu while subtly consoled Yun Lihua.

As soon as Luo Yu finished his words, the other three members, Lu Jiao, Feng Ye and Fan Linlin shook their heads and sneered in disgust. The trio had the same thought: 'This guy is too crafty and an opportunist. He still try to get into Lihua's good book despite the unfavorable situation.'

Yun Lihua, who was trapped in her thought on how to escape from her current predicament didn't realize the undertone feeling seeped in Luo Yu's words. She shook her head to deny their opinions and said, "I was about 300 meters away from our basecamp. Even so, i'm still arrived on time because my voice reached our basecamp on time. It was probably only two seconds away from the time we've agreed but the speed of the sound was 343 meters per second. It means that, i still have one second left and ultimately, i didn't late."

"Assuming to your perspective, your reasoning was right but now, we consider your arrival as a whole, not just a part of thing coming out from your body. So from our perspective, you're late." replied Fan Linlin. She was usually calm and compose but Yun Lihua's explanation probably triggered her logical side.

Yun Lihua raised both of her hands, indicating that she lost. When the others joined hand to defeat her in an argument, it was hard for her to refute. "Well, if you all say that i'm late then i can't refute. What punishment that you wanted me to do today?"

Lu Jiao mischievously smiled and locked her gaze at Yun Lihua. She proposed, "Do you wear the dress that i request?"

A bad premonition rose as Yun Lihua felt goosebump but she suppressed the feeling and replied, "Yes, i wear it. Why?"

"Show it to me!" ordered Lu Jiao.

"Mmmmm.... Really?" Yun Lihua didn't want the other to see her donned that dress because when she saw herself on the dress, a shock wave impact her mental health. She couldn't imagine how the others would react when they see her. So, she wore another layer of clothes, a jacket to prevented them seeing her in that dress. Furthermore, it would be fine if Lu Jiao only asked her to show them how she was in that dress but unfortunately, considering Lu Jiao's playful personality, what would happened would be what she could not predict.

"Really. Definitely!" Lu Jiao nodded her head vigorously. Her eyes filled with glimmers of light, looking at Yun Lihua as if it said 'Hurry up just put your jacket off already. I've been waiting to see you in that dress for years.' If her eyes had a pair of hands, Yun Lihua was probably had already naked under that 'passionate' gaze.

Yun Lihua took a deep breath and reluctantly put off her jacket. As expected, the contrast between her usual self and her in the dress created an unexplainable feelings to the others as their face twisted instantly with mouths wide opened. They all, including the damn initiator, Lu Jiao tranced and their brains were short circuited because Yun Lihua's current appereance was like a lethal nuclear weapon that suddenly attacked them mercilessly.

Feng Ye who was gasping his mouth like a fish out of the water snapped back to the reality. He rubbed his eyes with his hands because he was afraid that his eyes had failed him. "Umm... Am i seeing something right now?" He was a little doubt about what he saw just now because Yun Lihua that he knew would absolutely never wear that kind of clothes. But now, he saw her did and it was just too unexpected.

Yun Lihua donned a light pink dress with a big ribbon tied on the back of her waist. In her head, a headband which color was exactly similar to her dress was put on so her long pitch black hair would be tidier than usual. Her face was beautiful but there was still baby fat on her cheeks. So when they saw her dressed that way, they was utterly dumbfounded.

Both her dress and headband had created a huge impact on her and her friends. But, the appereance of a small brown bear doll stitched near her right waist elevated her cuteness to a whole new level. Fortunately Yun Lihua didn't pout her mouth like a child. If she did, her cuteness might increased by leaps and bounds.

If the squad members was not used with Yun Lihua tomboyish and boy-like behavior, a word 'cute', no, 'ultra cute' would probably become the most suitable word for her appereance. But it was a pity that they used to see her in loose t-shirt with shredded jeans and snickers while her hair tied in a type of bun that they didn't know what it was named as.

"Hahahahahaha....Oh my eyes...my poor eyes." after the shock, Lu Jiao guffawed wholeheartedly. She covered her eyes with one of her hand as if she was seeing a blinding light while the other hand clutched her stomach. As if her laughter was a virus, the others laughed one after another, even Yun Lihua, the object of mockery and incredulity was infected. In the basecamp, their laughing reverberated to every corner.

Yun Lihua silently looked at her friends who was still laughing at her appearance. She was a prideful person and for people to laugh at herself was an offense to her. But, unknowingly, she didn't feel offended by their mockery. On the contrary, she also felt ridiculous and subconsciously willing to be laughed at as long as it can make them happy.

In all likelihood, her current attitude might be formed after she interacted with them for years. Thinking about that, Yun Lihua thought flew back to the past, to the first time when she met them until they bonded with this priceless friendship.
