Chereads / The Wandering Immortal / Chapter 46 - Absurd Mission

Chapter 46 - Absurd Mission

With a loud explosion, the mountain shook and the trees trembled, birds flew in all directions.

Levi still sat on the ground, sitting cross-legged, he felt like a large damn inside his body burst open and felt an unfathomable amount of strength threatening to burst out at any moment.

Getting to Void rank isn't an easy task, but breaking through to Qi strength is a much more difficult task. Sensing Qi alone could take him years to accomplish, but after listening to Apollo's instructions, he had broken through in less than ten minutes.

Ten minutes may sound too long, but considering he had just started cultivating, it's expected that he would take that long.

He helped himself up and ran towards the shack where Apollo is, "Boss! I brokethrough!"

"Not bad," Apollo nodded his head as he sipped the cup of tea in his hand, "But don't get too excited, this is just the beginning." he added, he was afraid that Levi would get too complacent.

Levi nodded in reply. The two quickly left the mountain after Apollo finished his tea and fed the two animals.

...

Apollo sat behind the counter as usual, but today, he decided to check on Atlas again to see if something new had came up.

The interface showed up, but something was amiss,

[Ongoing mission: Rule the world]

Apollo's eyes became wide, he hadn't receive any missions ever since he had Atlas, even in the blackhole, he didn't receive any, so seeing one so suddenly seems a bit too weird for him.

Not to mention that the mission is to rule the world. Apollo clicked the mission to see if there are any more details to it, but there were none. He closed the interface and decided to ignore it for now, he can't see any time limit on it so he isn't too worried.

Levi came up to him and reported to him, "Boss, I have already found the best candidates for your security company,"

"Go on."

Hearing that, a large smile appeared on Levi's face, "I have these friends, you see. But the thing is, they are all retired soldiers and have been crippled. Seeing that you healed me so easily, I thought they would be the best candidates for you." because of his connections, he could easily find the best of the best.

Remembering the mission given to him, Apollo thought it would be a good idea to make the security company big first, and having capable people that could serve under him is the first step.

They may be crippled now, but just a thought from him could heal them easily, "Where are they?"

Levi almost jumped in joy after hearing that but he surpressed it, afraid that it would ruin Apollo's mood, "They are in the security company,"

"Hmm," Apollo gave a slight sound and continued with whatever he was doing.

What Levi said may sound enticing, but he wasn't really in a hurry to heal those people, the only reason he wanted to heal them is to have personnel in his company.

Time flew by and it was already night time. After closing up the restaurant, both him and Levi went to the security company for the healing.

Arriving there, Apollo saw people in all sorts of states, some are in bed, some are in wheelchairs, and some are in crutches. Levi lead him to a guy named Knox who was laying down on the bed, it was evident that Levi favored him more than the others because of his state.

Knox was once the leader of a group named Heavenly Emperors, they are one of the top mercenaries in the underworld, though their leader is crippled, they are still the most feared group.

The reason they knew of Levi is because they saved Levi once, they were in the forest and they saw Levi laying on the ground bloodied, and some of his bones were fractured, seeing how pitiable Levi was, they helped him.

It was later that they knew of Levi's identity as the God of Death in the underworld, they were of course, shocked at first, but seeing how the 'God of Death' is friendly with them, they accepted the benefits and served Levi as their 'boss'.

The Heavenly Emperors aren't as powerful as they used to be seeing how pitiable the state they were in, Knox is crippled and all of the other would either have a broken leg or a broken arm.

"Is this all?" Apollo abruptly asked.

"Yes, boss,"

Everyone in the room suddenly turned their gazes towards Apollo who was called 'boss' by Levi. They all knew Levi, in fact, they knew his identity as the God of Death in the underworld, and seeing how he respected Apollo so much got them curious as to what the man's identity really is.

"Perfect." With that said, Apollo flicked his fingers and the whole building shoned bright, as if enveloped by a star.

Everyone didn't know what was happening, but they still looked at their state. Their brains turned blank, even though they didn't know what was happening, their bodies became well all of a sudden, as if the injuries were never there before.

Knox looked at Apollo in horror and surprise, if it weren't for Levi's reputation as the God of Death and as their boss, he wouldn't even trust the man before them to treat him.

Levi was also surprised, he knew that his boss is powerful, but not to this extent. He thought Apollo would treats the patients one by one like a normal person, but he healed them all at once.

Everyone didn't know how to react, they didn't know whether to be surprised or to be horrified at the power. Soon, tears began falling to the ground as they joyed for the fact that they could be normal again.

Even if they waited for hours just so that Apollo could heal them, the wait was worth it. They would even wait for one, no, even five years if they have to just to be healed.

A loud thump sound echoed throughout the room, everyone knelt down and faced Apollo, they swore to serve him in their lifetime to repay this favor.

Apollo just stared at them with no emotion, as if what he had done is insignificant, "Whoever wishes to work for my company could stay, and whoever wishes to leave may do so, I won't bear grudges." he turned towards Levi, a small smile crept up his face, "You do all the paperwork, Levi."

Levi was all smiles before he heard the last sentence, his face turned grim.
