Every day, the Four Seasons would come to the restaurant and play, Josiah got so shameless that she told Athena to spoonfed him while playing, the trio, of course, teased them for that.
"Why do I feel that we're so inferior when playing with you...?" Justin suddenly spoke.
Actually, it wasn't like this the first time they played together when they found Josiah, after eating egg fried rice every day in the span of four days, he suddenly got better, his skill is even better than the trio without even drinking coffee, imagine how good he will be if he drinks the coffee.
When they played again together for the first time, their skills were on par with each other, but as time passes, Josiah got better and better, even he was surprised at the sudden improvement.
Josiah just laughed it off as a joke, but the three didn't, even if they were to drink coffee, they were still inferior to him by a mile. They only had one goal in mind now, and that is to surpass Josiah.
...
Apollo finally reached his boiling point, he is so bored that he decided to buy a laptop so that he could play games with those kids. Apollo sometimes watch them in his free time and already knows the rules of the games they were playing, the game CSGO is a point and shooter game, the game League of Legends is a kill the enemies and destroy the nexus, at least, that's what he learned by observing them.
Apollo didn't want to buy a laptop in the mall because he didn't know how to pick one, he didn't want to buy a full desktop either, because he thinks he would look cool if he were to play like those kids.
He bought the laptop from Atlas because Atlas recommends him stuff to buy without scamming him with his points, he doesn't understand anything about laptops so he just picked the midrange one that cost a hundred points, he made sure that it looks as close to the laptops sold today.
The laptop came from the year 2250, one thing unique about the laptop is its design, although it came from the year 2250, it looks pretty modern in his time. The reason why people from the future made this is for an april fools event companies do every decade.
Every decade, technology companies would troll their consumers with devices that look like it's from the 2000's, for nostalgia purposes, but the specs of said devices aren't to be scoffed off.
The laptop Apollo has now has the most high tech specs from the year 2250. For the CPU, it has a Xerphos F20, the CPU has 1024 physical cores and 2048 virtual ones, the max clockspeed is 2.40THz. For cooling the CPU, researchers tried cooling it with pure liquid nitrogen, but it still overheated, even exploded because it got so hot.
The way they solved it is they made the tubes with adamantium and filled it with Zion, a liquid found in other planets, it's like a super liquid nitrogen. At first, the adamantium tubes froze and easily broke, but they easily solved it by putting a super jelly substance inside the tubes, the super jelly acts like a condom but it's put inside, it absorbs the coldness with an absorption rate of 80%. As the Zion flows inside the tubes, it cools the CPU fully and prevents it from overheating.
For the Video card or GPU, it has a ZTX FX885, it has a core clock of 1.80THz and a boost clock of 3.0THz. It has 8 terabytes of VRAM.
The screen has a native resolution of 8k, they wanted it to have an ultra realistic display but they thought that it wouldn't fit the throwback feel that they were going for, but they made the display have 244GHz so that consumers won't complain. For other things, it has a 8 terabytes of ZRAM, 1024Pb Storage with a read and write speed of 50Pb/s.
It's the perfect laptop for enthusiasts that likes ancient things but with the latest specs, but in 2019, it's more of a cheat like device, rather than a laptop.
Apollo booted up the laptop, it booted so fast that the naked eye couldn't even see it booting up, because the creators wanted to have that throwback feel, it has a windows 10 Operating System, the software developers have already rewritten the code for it so that it would be more secure and would be harder to get in to.
Apollo got the hang of it after 10 minutes of usage, at first, he tried to download games straight from the browser, but all he got were warnings from the Pc that the things he downloaded were viruses, he scratched his head in confusion.
He set the laptop aside and slept for the night.
...
8:00 am, Apollo asked Justin and his friends for help and they happily obliged.
Vincent, being the tech savy guy in their group tried to see the components used so he could rate the device, but the weird thing is, he didn't know what they all meant, 'Xerphos CPU? ZTX FX885? 8 Terabytes of ram?!'
"Boss... Where did you buy this...?" Vincent asked, it's not because he wanted to buy one for himself, it's because he believes that the specifications of the laptop were faked.
"Just download the games, don't ask anymore questions," Apollo replied.
Vincent turned stiff, so he began to download Steam. The longer he stayed in the restaurant, the more absurd things he experiences, from the internet speed to the godlike owner, but this laptop is added to his list. The laptop was super fast that a 10Gb game was instantly downloaded, the writing speed is insane. "Boss... uh, I don't know how to say this."
Apollo looked towards him in the counter, "Just say it."
"You see, some games need to be bought, and coincidentally, the games you're requesting me to download needs to be bought..." Vincent said in a slow manner to make Apollo understand.
"How do I buy them then?" Apollo asked.
Vincent went full nerd mode and explained, "Well, there are a couple of wayss, 1 is gift cards, it's a one time use card to reload an account, you can easily find them in tech stores in malls or convenient stores that have them. 2 is paying using credit card, you can just put your bank details at the 'Choose your payment' tab whenever you buy a game and Steam will charge the right amount. 3 is basically a combination of 1 and 2, you can buy gift cards online using your credit card and enter the code given to you."
Apollo scratched his head, "What?" he understands him fully but what he didn't know the terms like Steam.
Vincent sighed and repeated it to him, "So... could I buy using my atm card?" Apollo asked.
"To put it bluntly, no," Vincent replied.
Apollo called Levi who was smoking outside, "Levi, could you buy me those Steam gift cards Vincent is talking about?"
Levi looked at Vincent with eyes that scream, 'What the hell is Steam gift cards?!'
"You can find those in convenient stores or malls"
Levi nodded, "How much do you want boss?"
"I don't know, empty the store just to make sure. Here, take my card."
Apollo took his card from his pocket and handed it to Levi. 'The passwords are all zeros' He said his pin code telepathically so that only Levi would hear it. Levi thought he had already seen enough surprises from Apollo, but saying something telepathically is beyond his comprehension.
Levi nodded in reply and ran as fast as he can to buy it, he doesn't know its use but Apollo asked it and he couldn't really deny him.
...
Levi got back with 4 bags full of $1000 gift cards from different stores, he handed all of them to Vincent, he handed the card back to Apollo and sat in the corner to rest.
Vincent looked at the four bags, "Boss... I think this is a bit too much..."
Apollo didn't reply so Vincent just entered half a bag of gift card codes and put the rest aside, he has downloaded all the things required so that Apollo would only need to open a game to play.
As he didn't know the components, he tried to run CSGO with it just to see if it can even handle it, CSGO isn't the most intensive game but that doesn't mean that normal laptops could handle it.
Vincent booted up the game and set the fps to zero so that the fps wouldn't get restricted and could go up to how much the laptop can handle. He looked at the fps count in the top left side of the screen and what he saw left him dumbfounded, the fps is so high that it reached the right side of the screen.
He exited CSGO and opened it again, the same thing happened.
Vincent downloaded the most intensive game possible and played it for a few minutes, even when the settings are all on ultra, the fps still reached billions and the laptop isn't even getting hot.
Vince looked at the laptop weirdly and looked at Apollo who is reading on his phone behind the counter. He is literally losing brain cells just by being in the restaurant. He handed back the laptop to Apollo and went back to his seat.
Using his laptop felt weird to him now, he felt it's too slow and unresponsive, he has the latest laptop to date but it felt as slow as a turtle. His 244Hz screen became so shitty that he felt like he's going crazy just by using it, the fans were too loud.
Apollo closed the restaurant for the time being and went to the four guys' table to play with them for a while to satisfy his boredom, "Yo, could I play with you guys?"
Justin nodded and moved his chair aside to make space for him, Apollo placed his laptop and opened CSGO, the four of them joined him.
They were in the same mirage map, there weren't any banning phases anymore because they were only playing competitive matchmaking and not on third-party applications.
They were in the game and Justin felt something weird, he looked towards Apollo who was using a trackpad to play the game, "B-boss, I have a spare mouse here, do you want to use it?"
"Why do I need a pet mouse to play the game?" Apollo asked.
Justin facepalmed, he lifted his mouse and showed it to Apollo, "This is a mouse, it makes the game more easier."
"Oh, okay." Apollo accepted Justin's spare mouse and began to feel comfortable at playing, and because it's only matchmaking, they didn't really have any strategy and just played the game for fun.
They were Ct's this time, Vincent has already changed Apollo's crosshair when he downloaded the games so nothing is really needed, he thought Apollo could just change the sensitivity if he isn't comfortable of the default one.
Vincent and Apollo went A, Vincent's position is in the stairs area and Apollo at ticket booth, or Ct. Because it's only pistol round and pistol rounds didn't matter much because of the recent update, the T's decided to go A with a full set of smokes, they got to the site very fast, at least, they thought so.
Just when the T's were about to rush to the A site via A ramp, they instantly got headshoted by Apollo, they didn't even know where he is and how they died. After observing the four guys play for a while, he got a hold of a trick that they always use, that is, crosshair positioning and making sure that the crosshair is always head level.
Crosshair positioning is the most key part in aiming, but it depends on the situation on where you need to position your crosshair, in this case, Apollo positioned his crosshair at the part where the wall ends in T ramp, and because his crosshair is head level, the enemies get headshoted.
There are different ways to kill an enemy, you could shoot them in the body, the legs, and the head, but the most efficient yet hardest way to kill them is through the head. If the enemy wears a Kevlar and helmet, it takes two shots in the head with a pistol to kill them, 6 shots if they were shot in the body, and 8 if shot in the legs.
It's now the second round and Apollo bought a sniper, the AWP to be precise, this time, the enemies went to rush b because they don't have any money to buy and hope to win so they could buy weapons the next round. Josiah said that they were going B because he could hear their footsteps, Apollo unscoped his AWP and went towards B to help Josiah. The enemies ran towards the site nonstop, some were about to jump outside the window, but before they could even get out B apartments, they got wiped out because of Apollo's fast reaction time and precise aiming.
The enemies raged because of Apollo's awping, it isn't humanly possible to have a reaction time as fast as that, but they kept quiet, still observing him.
Five rounds have passed and the same thing happened, Vincent traded his Ak-47 for Apollo's AWP but it was still the same, Apollo didn't even need a magazine to kill the enemies, he only needs one bullet for each of them.
[Can you guys kick that Apollo2309?]
[Yeah, it's obvious that he's cheating!]
[I fucking quit!1!]
[User SmokeMidEveryday has left the game.]
Apollo didn't read the chat so he doesn't know that the enemies are accusing him of cheating, even Josiah is looking at him, wide-eyed.
Josiah's aim and reaction time aren't as good as Apollo's but his skills are basically at the pinnacle. When he spectated Apollo who was using an AWP at that time, he saw how lacking he is, even in his prime, he couldn't reach Apollo's skill in gaming, he even thought that Apollo is cheating.
The game finished quickly because the enemies left the game in the tenth round, Apollo frowned, he didn't even try and he already won the game.
"Let's play FaceIT, Vince, make him an account and download it on his laptop." Josiah proposed.
Vince agreed and did what Josiah asked.
The reason why Josiah said that is because he wanted to try something, what he wanted to see is the limit of Apollo's skill so he used his main account which is level 10, same with Justin, Vincent, and Azrael.
Basically, the same thing happened, the enemies kept complaining that Apollo is cheating and that his reaction time and aim isn't humanly possible, they even mass reported his account, hoping to get it banned.
