It's morning, Apollo just woke up and got a headache thinking about something, what's bugging him is the question, 'How are people not bored in this wasteland?'
During the last few days, he observed people a bit more and found that not only are they having fun, but are also happy at the same time. Their shopping at the mall proved that, he saw people of all ages, with smiles on their faces.
What's giving him a headache is the unknown reason why people are happy all the time in this small planet, be it rich or poor, young or old, he envied that type of happiness and ignorance towards worldly things.
He always finds himself lost, nowhere to go, always wandering to satisfy his boredom. Apollo sometimes feels that being a restaurant owner isn't really the type of thing he wants to do, but when he thinks of that, Kate's face always lingers in the back of his mind.
He laid in his bed, motionless, staring at the ceiling when he suddenly heard voices outside.
"Are you sure this is the restaurant, Justin?"
"I'm sure, I saw her tweet a few days ago and she clearly wrote that there isn't a sign in front of the restaurant."
"Whatever, it's closed anyway."
Apollo peeks out the window to see three teens walking side by side, in the left side is a black haired guy with a black jacket and turns away his gaze when his friends look at him, and not joining their conversation, in the middle, it's a blonde guy, his arms placed on his buddies shoulder, in the left is a tall guy wearing glasses.
Justin, the blonde guy looked towards the restaurant and saw it is closed, "Let's just come back later, you guys wanna play League?"
The two beside him nodded and the three left.
Apollo stopped peeking and went back to his bed lazily, he honestly doesn't want to do the restaurant business anymore and just wants to lazily stay in bed.
He sighed and got out of bed.
...
The restaurant is already open but there were still no customers, Apollo added a new dish, or rather, a new drink. Apollo decided to add coffee to the menu, just as he finished writing it on the menu, Kate and the gang arrived.
Levi who came with them walked towards Apollo and did a 90-degree bow, "Thank you for saving me, boss."
Apollo looked at him indifferently and waved his hands as if it was nothing, then he continued to do what he normally does, sitting behind the counter with his head laid down.
They all sat on their respective tables, Kate and co sat on the kitchen counter where Apollo slept and Levi sat alone in the corner. [A/N: Don't be confused, the so-called 'Counter' isn't really a counter, it's a long plywood nailed in the kitchen and could be used by customers as a table, it's like those marble tables in the bar.]
They scanned the menu and found the newly added coffee priced at $20, "Boss...? Is this coffee better than starbucks to be priced like this?"
Apollo looked at Kate who had an awkward smile on her face and nodded lazily, he then went back to sleeping, "Okay, we want the coffee and the egg fried rice."
Levi also ordered the same thing as them. Apollo cooked the egg fried rice and brewed coffee with the coffee beans he bought from Atlas, the water he used is a downgrade from the water he always used to lower the price down enough.
The water also came from a place with rich Qi but it's light years away from the water from the fountain of life. It doesn't heal wounds fast to the point that the naked eye could see it but it could heal faster than just waiting for a wound to heal.
The coffee beans are also a downgrade from the ingredients he always used, although it's a downgrade, it could hasten the brain's activity and would make the users' perception a bit more clearer than normal people's. It would basically energize the person drinking it.
Their food has already arrived, the egg fried rice is placed in the same bowl as it used to, meanwhile, the coffee is placed on a mug and a small plate below it.
The smoke coming from the coffee tickled their noses as Apollo placed it in front of them one by one, "As expected from the boss' dishes, even coffee could smell so good." Noah complimented.
"Look! It's open!"
"Let's go."
The three teens that came earlier came back again with bags on their backs.
When they entered the restaurant, the blonde guy, Justin suddenly froze, he looked towards the black-haired girl sitting on the counter, eating fried rice, 'She's Kate! I'm not mistaken, I have to get an autograph!'
The glasses guy, Vincent, poked Justin in his arms, "Hey bro, are you okay?"
The loner, Azrael, smirked, "He probably saw a ghost or something."
Meanwhile, Justin's mouth turned agape as he pointed at the girl eating on the counter, "S-she's s-she's Kate!"
Kate didn't bother to look behind her and continued eating, at the same time, Justin turned into full fanboy mode and became shameless enough to take a paper and pen in his bag and shakily walked towards Kate.
Arriving behind Kate, he turned tail and ran back to his friends, his breathing became abnormal, "L-le'ts just order for now,"
They ordered egg fried rice and coffee, they then set up their laptops on the table, the table is big enough to cater up to six people so they have tons of space.
They plugged in their mouse and headsets and connected to Azrael's pocket wifi that he was forced to bring. The reason they wanted to go to this small restaurant is because of Kate's recommendation in her twitter post.
The price of the food isn't really a turn off to them, they all have money to spend. They don't get their money from their parents though, their jobs are... streamers. They broadcast their live gameplay to other people online, and because they are pretty good at the games they're playing, people would donate money.
The trio started off as only three friends with dreams, but they already reached their dreams, e-sports teams even sent contracts to hire them but they declined because they hate getting their freedom shackled by the contracts. Their fans even criticized their decisions but they didn't care.
Why do people watch people playing games instead of playing the game themselves you ask? People watch their streams to get some kind of enlightenment that they could implement when they play games. The trio aren't only playing games, but they also teach their viewers about things related to the game. People also watch their streams to experience the game they can't buy because of their financial situation. And some just watch to support their favourite streamer.
They already booted up their laptops and plugged their peripherals like their headset and mouse. The egg fried rice and coffee they ordered already arrived when they waited for their laptops to boot up. They didn't have webcams to broadcast their faces, they only showed gameplay and commentary.
[Omg! 春 started his stream!]
[夏 and 冬 also started their stream at the same time!]
[The four seasons are back at it again!1!]
[The guy above me, stop it. 秋 has already stopped playing long ago, it's only the three seasons now.]
(A/N: 夏,春,冬,秋 are the four seasons in Japanese.)
As they waited for the game, the three started eating the fried rice.
Justin chewed his fried rice loudly that it irritated Azrael, meanwhile, Vincent savoured the fried rice thoroughly, not even missing a single grain. Azrael just ate his fried rice silently while looking at his laptop screen, he's the type of guy to hide the emotions on his face, but this time, his face looked like he just had an orgasm.
Levi looked at them as he sipped his tea, the food is delicious, that's a fact, but Levi had only heard a few silent moans in his time here in the restaurant, he still hasn't seen people that reacted to food this way, until now. Justin had one of his legs on top of the chair and his other leg on top of the table, a bowl of fried rice in hand and a somewhat erotic face while eating it. Vincent ate quietly but the moans he could make could beat women moaning in hardcore p*rn.
Azrael silently ate, but from time to time, a sound of pleasure would come out from him. Levi chuckled and shook his head, 'These youngsters probably only ate cup noodles.', what made it more interesting to him is the three laptops in their tables, but it was only slightly interesting, he quickly dismissed it and went outside to drink his coffee and smoke a cigarette to not disturb others' appetites.
The three eating in the counter didn't mind their overreaction to food, at some point, they also wanted to be that bold but suppressed it.
The game has already started, the game they're playing is an FPS game or a First-person shooter. The goal of the game is different to each sides, the Counter-Terrorist would need to defend the bombsites and stop the Terrorists from planting the bomb. The Counter-Terrorist side has two ways to win the game, they either need to kill all the Terrorist or defuse the bomb.
The Terrorist side also has two ways to win the game, they either need to kill all the Counter-Terrorist or plant the bomb and defend it long enough for the bomb to explode. Of course, they don't only need to defend and kill throughout the game, they also need to guess what their enemies are thinking, this is called the sixth sense of gamers, or what it is commonly referred to as, Game sense.
The map they picked is Mirage, it's a map that is by far, the most easiest map. The map has a sand feel to it like it's in a desert.
They started off as the CT's with their standard 212 strat, two B, one middle, and two A. Justin and Azrael went to the A site and Vincent went B, the two random players they got matched up with are fans of their streams so they cooperated well.
The CT spawn and the A site is close to each other with only a staircase leading towards the open site, Justin is positioned at a box with a ticket booth beside it looking at the ramp where T's would be going to get into the site. Meanwhile, Azrael looked at the palace area where T's could also go to access the site.
In the A site, there are a total of nine boxes, one is the box Justin is at now and three in the front right side of him two are stacked together for cover, not far from him. There are also three boxes not far from the three boxes I mentioned earlier, those three boxes are stacked like the one before, the boxes could be used for CT's to hop on and access the palace area quicker.
As they played the game, they sip the coffee they ordered from time to time and what surprised them was their boost in skills, their brain activity became quicker and they could make decisions quicker. Their aim and reaction time also improved as they drink the coffee from time to time.
Even Azrael was surprised at the improvement they got, the three's live chat is also going crazy at the aim they have, it was like they were cheating.
In the in-game chat, the enemies were so furious at dying before they could even get out.
[What the actual fuck! Stop fucking cheating!1!]
[Didn't know the three seasons only got their skills from cheating *smirk face*]
[User AimGod left the game.]
Justin looked at his chat,
[Are you guy... really cheating?]
[Just got back from 冬's stream, what the actual fuck, he's a godlike awper!]
[They are definitely cheating]
Comments about cheating flooded their live chat throughout the game, the enemies are also tired of their cheating and quickly left the game.
Justin, Vincent, and Azrael looked at each other, dumbfounded at what just happened in the game, Justin spoke up, "D-did you guys... put a cheating software on my laptop...?"
Vincent got furious at the thought of someone putting cheats on his computer, "Fuck no! I was also gonna ask the same thing!"
Azrael just looked at his hands, looking lost, he sometimes rubbed his eyes to check if he isn't dreaming. He also exited the game after the match was finished and check every bit and cranny in his computer to see if there are any cheating software on his laptop but found none.
One thing came to their heads, 'The coffee!'
[A/N: 春 is Azrael, 夏 is Justin, and 冬 is Vincent to not make you guys confused.]
