Dressed in a suit, Brian looked like a prince from a children's fairy tale. And although he didn't praise Diana's new look, he didn't make fun of her either. That was significant progress for him.
Diana was shocked by Brian's actions. She hesitated for a moment and then put her hand in his.
Brian looked at the rest of the clothes still on the rack and waved his hand at the staff that had brought them in, "Bring all these to the dressing room."
Diana's eyes were wide open in shock. Did Brian buy all of them? These clothes are worth more than my entire life's possessions!
Her worry allowed her to forget the pain in her feet. Diana ran to the staff to stop them. "I don't need them!"
Brian glanced at Ken. Ken knew what he was thinking and explained to Diana, "You wear these clothes to please the boss. They are not for you."
Not for her… Well.
Diana wasn't sure but nodded and accepted Ken's words.
