Synopsis

June

A Devilishly handsome young man was sitting on top of a throne in a pure white military garb as he watched a screen in front of him. He had long brown hair that was smooth as silk and was perfect enough to make even women jealous. His skin was also like white jade which made women grit their teeth in envy.

One would assume someone who looked like this was a pretty boy who was good for nothing but being a gigolo, but they would be wrong in this instance because this man was the most feared and respected player in all of Rise of Kings, The most popular VRMMORPG that has been released to date.

His name was June and he came from a very wealthy family which allowed him to keep his good looks and perfect skin. He inherited a business empire from his parents at a young age, because they passed away during conflicts with rival companies and their treacherous schemes. Of course, June did not take this lying down and in the next few years, he tore those companies apart with what he was inherited.

However, that was all in the past, and now that everything in his life settled down he decided to play a game that came out Rise of Kings. He began playing when it was in closed beta testing, due to his contacts he had no trouble getting in either.

What drew his interest was the companies insurance of extreme realism, claiming over 90% compatibility with the real world, something that has never been done before! The company even ensured that players were required to keep their looks from real life, which was a minor annoyance to June, because he was very famous in real life, and didn't want to be targeted because of it, but he quickly shrugged that off.

This game began to become one of June's biggest time consumers, and he spent over twelve hours on it every day, sometimes more. He left the handling of the company to his trusted aides and delved into the fantastical world of Gaia.

He quickly became one of the best players and the hottest chatting topic amongst the people who played Rise of Kings. Since he never played games before this he was like a dark horse who quickly stopped down some of the previously proclaimed best players in the world!

Rising to the top he became someone untouchable and feared someone no one wanted to cross no matter what. His guild called Guardian Angel was the most feared not because they were the top guild in the world, well not only because they were the top guild in the world, but because it managed to claim that position with only three members!

The Leader, June, was indeed the scariest of the three, but the other two easily outclassed other players as well, and just these three people were able to wipe out other guilds with one hundred players, which was the max limit of members.

Countless people once flocked to join Guardian Angel, but when they realized that no one was ever allowed to join people eventually stopped trying altogether, except for the desperate few who still tried to send requests.

The other two people in June's guild were his maid, whom he grew up with since he was young, and saw of her more as a friend, Alice. She was, as one would assume, a blond-haired woman, with western features. She was in no way inferior to June and was also extremely beautiful.

Alice herself felt that June was the center of her world, and would do anything in order to protect him, and in real life, she did that no small amount of times. She saved his life at least five times if not more during the tumultuous battle that happened between the two rival companies, and after they finally won the battle of the companies in gratitude June tried to give Alice her freedom, with a big load of cash, to which she balled her eyes out asking what she did wrong. After this June never brought the subject up again, and was just happy to have her by his side, because he knew he could trust her.

Alice played the game as an elf and was the best archer in the game unmatched in her field of expertise. And although the game did make you keep your appearance minor changes were made to fit your character's race. So in Alice's case, she was given pointy ears. Players were only allowed to pick humanoid races for this exact reason because it was impossible to only make minor changes if one was an orc.

The last player of the Guild was June's best friend for a long time, who now worked under him as a CEO, Micah. He chose to play the game as a Human, like June, but decided to go the opposite skill path as June and became a Sorceror instead. He claimed that someone as delicate as he would not fit well in the position of a swordsman.

Micah was not wrong though, because with his delicate body and pretty appearance he would be what most would consider as a trap. Not only did he look like a girl, but he was also gay, which made all the men who tried to hit on him in for a wild roller coaster of emotions. He liked teasing other men with his appearance and fed into the reality of what is a trap.

June, unlike Micah, had masculine features, although he had delicate skin and hair, which allowed no one to mistake him for a woman, which was quite the relief for June because the big slobs of men that hit on Micah were enough to give him goosebumps just thinking of it.

The three of them, all only around 22 years old managed to defeat countless other players and became the best of the best inside the game Rise of Kings.

---Present

June was sitting on a throne staring at a monitor that projected an image of the armies facing off against each other. It was a rare event that anyone challenged him and his guild nowadays, but at the moment seven of the top ten Guilds decided to unite against him in order to try and take him down.

Watching the screen June knew that this would soon be over and he could go back to planning his raid on the Dungeon he has been planning for three days now.

Seeing the army move its way into a valley between two mountains June sighed as he said: "This will be over soon". His strategy was the simple Hammer and Anvil tactic, and the enemy fell for it so easily. The army that was defending the entrance to the dungeon had tower shields, which the enemy was unable to connect to the fact that they were meant to only stall them.

"Lord June, make sure to prepare the backup plan just in case" a deep and mature voice reminded him.

"It is already ready Atlas," June said as he waved his hand in the air dismissing the worrying of his subordinate.

He watched as an army appeared out of thin air behind the enemy and began to easily slaughter their way through the backs of their ranks. June had a small smile on his face as he saw the plan go through without a hitch.

June stood up as he had no need to continue watching and began to walk out of the throne room. "Come on Alice, let's go get our spoils of war." Unnoticeable by the common eye a woman with blond hair was actually standing behind June the whole time!

"Yes master," she said as she began following him out of the throne room.

The doors of the throne room were opened by two maids on either side and they bowed as he passed to which June nodded with a smile causing a blush to creep up on their cheeks. Even though June may treat his enemies like shit he was extremely protective of his own people. He never understood why some people like to abuse their subordinates. Did they get some sort of sick pleasure from it? He thought how ruling through fear was not a great way to rule and you would be overthrown eventually so June always made sure to treat his subordinates as people, not like tools.

Violently wrenched from his thoughts June felt a head-splitting pain go through his skull and he yelled in agony. From behind him, he heard another scream as he saw through the corner of his eye Alice was also clutching her head in agony.

"Master!! Miss Alice!!" shouts came from around him, but he could not respond and his vision began to blacken and the shouts of the worried maids around him began to quieten. June painfully fell into darkness.
