Chereads / Two Stack: A DOTA 2 Story / Chapter 16 - Against the Odds

Chapter 16 - Against the Odds

The drafting phase started and each team picked their heroes, but Damian Cheng noticed something unusual.

Damian Cheng picked Ezalor, the Keeper of the Light.

Bayani Reyes picked Magnus, the Magnoceros.

Tan Jia Guang picked Banehallow, the Lycan.

Their teammates picked Raigor Stonehoof, the Earthshaker for the position four and Nevermore, the Shadow Fiend for the position two.

"Our enemies are not normal players, chances are their smurf accounts of pros from the same team." Damian Cheng said with a serious tone.

Before Tan Jia Guang and Bayani Reyes could ask the same question in their minds, Damian Cheng already answered them.

"Their picks are too unified to be a pub stack."

Nature's Prophet.

Kaldr, the Ancient Apparition.

Tiny, the Stone Giant.

Krobelus, the Death Prophet.

Darkterror, the Faceless Void.

"Should we just abandon and go for the next game?" Bayani Reyes asked as she felt that this match is nothing more than a waste of time.

Damian Cheng shook his head as he smiled, he then told his friends: "This is a great chance to see how strong we are."

With that sentence, the roller coaster of a match started.

Brutal.

Savage.

Rekt.

Those three words perfectly described how the laning stage goes for Tan Jia Guang and the others.

While their struggle to make a comeback, the enemy started flaming them relentlessly.

"Stop it, don't look down on them."

All of a sudden, four of the players stopped moving.

Their heroes freeze as the ones controlling them looking at the person who talked just now.

"Boss, are you serious? They are can't do anything to us during the laning stage." The Tiny, the Stone Giant said in a joking manner.

Without even thinking for another second, the player who controlled Kaldr, the Ancient Apparition nodded resolutely.

"Then let us show the boss that we could not only crush them during the laning stage but also during team fights."

Their attentions are then turned towards the man who talked just now, his hands moved as he teleports towards the middle lane.

Soon all of the enemies followed and showed up at the middle lane for a grand push.

Damian Cheng naturally knew about this and tried to teleport towards the middle lane, but he then noticed something.

"My tp scroll is on cooldown, the ones who can tp try and defend as long as possible."

Magnus, the Magnoceros and Banehallow, the Lycan teleport into the trees, waiting as more and more of the enemy shows up.

"Everything is ready boss, the kotl and es are not here." The Tiny, the Stone Giant said.

"Go."

With one simple command, the death ball started rolling down.

From the trees Banehallow, the Lycan in his lupine form dashed forward from the fog of war towards the enemy alone.

Nevermore, the Shadow Fiend stood there throwing Shadowraze at the enemy.

"Hehe, chrono time."

Darkterror, the Faceless Void rushes forward with Time Walk and uses his ultimate skill Chronosphere.

A purple dome covered Darkterror, the Faceless Void along with Nevermore, the Shadow Fiend and Banehallow, the Lycan.

Suddenly a familiar sound traveled into the Faceless Void player's ear as he noticed that his hero who had just been hitting Banehallow, the Lycan had been stun.

"Reverse Polarity…"

It was a five-man Reverse Polarity, some of the enemies started to panic.

Soon their panic turned into fear as a Centaur Conqueror ran towards them and used War Stomp just when Reverse Polarity was about to end.

"No wonder I felt something was missing, who knew that the Lycan was hiding the Centaur Conqueror just to make this play." The boss of the enemy said with amazement.

Just when the stun was about to end a ball of light was summoned in front of them, causing their heroes to sleep.

Damian Cheng is finally here.
