'Now then, where should I begin?' Hong Tian thought. Currently, there were two pressing matters at hand. The most annoying of which was Hong Yue who was sobbing before him as she had never seen someone get killed before. But more importantly, to Hong Tian anyway, was the utter weakness he felt from his body. His Dantian was crippled, his meridians torn. Even if he wanted he couldn't hold the poor quality Heaven and Earth Qi around him.
"Stop crying and come over here," Hong Tian commanded. His words immediately caused the sobbing Hong Yue to freeze as she momentarily thought she was next on his kill list. That thought almost instantly left her head as she deduced Hong Tian would have already killed her if he wanted to, as she didn't think that his newfound bloodthirsty and savage personality would care if she were a woman; he already said that anyone that got in his way would die, after all.
Faced with her dangerous young master, she did her best to hide her sobs and picked herself back up. She slowly walked over to Hong Tian, eyes closed as if she were a child who hoping that by hiding her sight she could escape the dangers of the unknown, before... a warm a gentle hand landed on her shoulder.
Opening her eyes, Hong Yue thought she was hallucinating as the incomparably savage expression and killing intent Hong Tian previously blasted her way was hidden behind the earnest expression of her young master. In this false caring expression, Hong Tian said, "Now then, let's head over to my room and discuss things first. I'm sure you have some questions for me, while I have a couple things I want to ask you." If she hadn't personally witnessed Hong Tian brutally murder someone just then, she never would have guessed he could serenade her with such a smooth voice.
Entranced, she followed him as if she was possessed. She almost forgot about the corpse they left behind and in what seemed like a moment she was sitting before Hong Tian with a confused look in her eyes.
"First off," Hong Tian began, "I want you to know, since you've always followed me even in the darkest of times. Even though I've always been a pushover and have never displayed even an ounce of worth… I want you to know that what just happened wasn't a spur of the moment decision." He lied through his teeth…
"I've had enough with the clan, with the sect," Hong Tian's expression changed to show pain as if he really couldn't bear recount his words, continuing, "They've treated me like trash. Even my family destroyed my chances to cultivate!"
Slowly regaining the previous confidence and savagery in his voice from before, albeit at slow enough pace to not disturb Hong Yue, Hong Tian calmly said, "But, no more. I won't tolerate it any longer! Did you know that fool Hong Wu tried to kill me just over an hour ago? He poisoned me with enough Shivertoxin Essence to kill hundreds and thousands of mortal adults! But in the end, I should be thankful as it has opened my eyes as to what I should do," he grinned.
"I'm going to cultivate!" Hong Tian yelled, threatening the line between intelligible words and a beastly roar, as if he couldn't contain his resolve.
Gasping as Hong Tian concluded his speech, Hong Yue pressed her hands on her cheeks and asked, "B-but how?! You said it yourself, your Dantian is cripple and your meridians or torn. Its simply impossible to cultivate under those conditions!"
"You're right," he agreed, "However, that just means I'll have to fix these injuries first." His expression grew imperceptibly dark as he recalled the memories of his previous owner. Even if he knew first hand that these weren't experiences he had gone through — having his cultivation base ruined and the bullying Hong Tian sustained before being killed — as they were now his personal memories, the difference between experiencing it and not didn't matter. In his heart, a blood debt was made with the Hong Clan and Splitting Wind Sect, and there were no two ways to go about it. After he gained the necessary power, he would collect his blood debt…
"Fix your injuries? Bu-" before Hong Yue could conclude her words, Hong Tian cut in to ask, "Now, just to make sure my head's not damaged by the poison, I'm going to ask you a couple questions." He waited for her to nod and after she did so, he continued, "We are currently in the year 678 of the Yuanlong Calendar, yes?"
When his question was met with a nod, he continued to ask, "In this world we call Clear Wind Planet the highest power is our sect, the Splitting Wind Sect, whose patriarch, my father, is an expert in the Martial Development Stage."
"The cultivators of this mortal world want to ascend to immortality, break through the void and enter the Immortal Domain?"
…
To most of his questions, Hong Yue nodded, confirming that most if not all of the memories Hong Tian absorbed after reincarnating were not damaged. The remaining questions which Hong Yue didn't nod or affirm where all confidential in nature, which could be explained by her lack of knowledge as he asked both things which were confidential to the previous Hong Tian and things he had learned in his first life.
When all was said and done, Hong Tian sat in silence for a long time. Engaging himself in an internal debate he pondered, 'Now, what cultivation method should I choose? What method should I use to resolve the broken foundation of my current body? Should I retrain my Daos through orthodoxy or simply start anew with less… unorthodox techniques. Mhmm...'
After a while he shook his head and relented, 'Fuck it, Geng Xin wants me to be a changed man, fine. I'll be a changed man. But when I make it back to the Gods' Domain I'll carve him up with the new methods I'll be cultivating.' A look of insanity crossed his eyes as he thought, 'Destroying that goody two-shoes with orthodox methods will be the ultimate humiliation I'll put him through since he cursed me; that fucking hypocrite.' Even now, he couldn't believe the irony of it all. His own curse had been "tainted" — "purified" would be the word most people used to describe it — by Geng Xin's aura and energy to be unable to his reign as the Immortal Villain.
With the decision made, Hong Tian stood up and made his way out of the room. Naturally, Hong Yue followed him, asking, "What are you going to do?" There was still a dead body in the house, after all…
"I'm going to cultivate outside," Hong Tian replied nonchalantly. He sounded like he forgot about Hong Wu and to be honest, in actuality, he did.
"Outside?"
"Yeah," Hong Tian smirked, "It would be dumb to cultivate with the wind inside the house." In the same fashion that he decided to ruin Geng Xin with orthodox methods just to spite him, Hong Tian decided to begin his cultivation with Wind of all things, just to slap the Hong Clan in their face. With his methods and experience, he was confident that in due time he would outclass everyone, even his father — the patriarch of a sect that obviously majored in wind techniques. Wouldn't it be hysterical if the trash of the Hong Clan, the trash of the Splitting Wind Sect, came back with a Wind Dao even more profound than its patriarch's?
Hong Tian savored the thought before finding himself outside the house. Without much thought, he picked a relatively barren patch of grass to sit in before reviewing the method he would use to repair his shattered cultivation base. In his memories, there were thousands of methods he could use to repair a broken Dantian and severed meridians; dozens he could use without external support. But only one was good enough for Hong Tian as he saw this rebirth as an opportunity to correct some of the wrongs of his first life's journey through cultivation. This time, he would make use of his experience as a supreme god to make sure there weren't any flaws left for his enemies to expose…
"Divine Transformation," Hong Tian muttered. It was the name of the cultivation method he had picked and strangely enough, it would also be the key to fixing his current state. The technique was named simply as it conveyed its effects in the most straightforward manner possible. This cultivation technique only covered the Body Sanctification Realm — the first Realm of cultivation — but it was among the most thorough of its kind.
With the simple goal of converting the mortal body into the perfect vessel, not for immortality, but for divinity, the Divine Transformation cultivation method became Hong Tian's standard. Seated, after he reviewed how to cultivate the method, he began to breathe in what Hong Yue would describe as an "erratic" fashion. Hong Yue sat right next to Hong Tian, just over a foot away, yet even she couldn't detect the energy that was being pulled from the environment and into Hong Tian's body.
Through channeling the Divine Transformation method, Hong Tian only needed what few acupoints the previous owner of his body awoke naturally, over time. Since only his meridians and Dantian were damaged, even if he only had about a dozen or so acupoints naturally opened as a seventeen-year-old, it was more than enough to make use of the technique. Moreover, by using the technique he could even open more acupoints to efficiently process Heaven and Earth Qi at an even faster rate.
After only a few minutes, Hong Tian's naturally awakened 16 acupoints rose in number to 52. As every acupoint needed more and more potential energy to open and the process was starting to prove obsolete with his lacking cultivation base, Hong Tian put aside opening more acupoints and began to make use of the energy his acupoints collected to first repair his meridians.
Unfortunately, several years had passed and just like any other wound, his meridians and Dantian had figuratively scabbed over. Such parts of his body weren't literally made of flesh and blood, but in essence, it still meant that the healing process was several times more difficult than if the wounds were still fresh. To the naturally impatience Hong Tian, such an experience truly tested his patience as he sat down for a heartbreaking thirty minutes, slowly mending his meridians and even completely fixing one, before he couldn't take it anymore and stood up.
