Chapter 1 - Bet

[Somewhere deep inside of a dungeon]

Three Gods were debating something. Two of them were children, while the third was an elderly gentleman.

"Yo! It's been a while, Kronos. Are you still enraged by your defeat? Kekekeke!" As he tried to provoke the titan, the youngster who was enshrouded in black said.

"..." The colossal titan remained silent.

"It's been really boring ruling over the entire universe, you know. So we've come to have some fun!" The girl said. She has the same appearance as the boy, but she was dressed in white rather than black.

"If that's the case, may I suggest a game?" Kronos stated this with a sick grin on his face.

"Really?! Really?! What kind of game are you talking about?" They both said the same thing. Their eyes twinkled with glee. They were enthralled and intrigued by the game they were playing.

Kronos answered, "A bet!"

"Let's choose a champion from the lower realm. There will be those who are meant to battle one other. We will assist them in becoming stronger, and you may even choose to bless them. However, you won't be able to directly intervene, and the rest will be up to their potential and fate. I'll give you the upper hand; I'm confident that my champion will not only defeat yours but will also usurp your thrones...." The colossal monster gave an eerie smile. He thought it had been millennia since I'd had this much joy and excitement.

Both of their facial expressions became serious. What were they thinking? A mortal taking over a god's throne? Impossible!

"What happens if you lose?" They stated that they are considering whether the disadvantages outweigh the advantages.

"Then I'll gladly hand over my abilities, and if I win, that's all there is to it." The titan smiled because he is confident that they will accept it.

Both of them were taken aback by the possibility that inheriting Kronos powers might make them more powerful than their "Creator.".

"You all have the upper hand, and if you haven't had the courage to accept my challenge... cowards." They were provoked by Kronos. He felt sure of himself as if he knew what would happen next.

"Bring it on then! We accept your challenge!"

As proof of their wager, they exchanged handshakes. If someone violates this pact, their soul will be extinguished.

"We will now choose our champions with these," Kronos stated.

Then a large mirror appeared. It showed Invumia, a location somewhere in the world. In the slums, children are happily playing.

"Noah! Where are you going?" One of the youngsters who was playing with him said.

"As usual, I'm going to the castle. However, please keep it a secret!" As he put his finger between his mouth, he replied.

"Of course!"

Noah was about to leave when he noticed a black-haired child sitting alone and crying. He went up to the crying child and said.

"Can you tell me why you're crying?"

"B-because they dislike me and they try to avoid me. They refer to me as trash and then beat me up when they get the chance."

"What why?!"

"I'm the son of the foolish ki- No, never mind it's better if you didn't know it" He sobbed as he recalled his trauma.

"Can you tell me your name?" Noah inquired of him.

"Zell... Zell Beherit," says the narrator.

"My name is Noah Solomon, so Zell, would you like to be my friend?" Noah gave him a friendly smile as he extended his hand to Zell.

"R-Really?! You're not joking, right? You're not going to abandon me all of a sudden?"

"No, I really want to be your friend?"

"Okay." As he grabbed Noah's hand, Zell remarked.

===

"Well, let's see... I choose that kid named Noah." Kronos extended his finger and pointed it at Noah.

"Hmmm, then I'll go with his little pal Zell over there!" "Says the two kids."

"All right, then, let the game begin!" The three Gods all spoke at the same time.

[Home of the dragons Ailrem]

[After 11 years of the bet of the Gods]

A young man with a wine-red eye who wears a robe and mask. His hair is silky black. He was carrying a bloodied sword in the midst of a mountain of dead dragons and wyverns.

The man was attacked by a dragon who was hidden among the bodies and pretended to be dead. It yanked open his gigantic mouth.

"ROAAAAR"

"Nuisance." He said in a scarcely heard voice, as he swiped his sword at the dragon with lightning speed,

Thud!

The dragon fell and died. The head of the dragon was slashed cleanly.

"Hmmm now that the nuisances are gone I'll take this... thank you!" as he took a large dragon egg.

"GYAHAHAHAHAHA" as he laughed hysterically

"I can finally kill "him" with these. I can't wait to see "his" terror and anguish on his face. It's time for me to claim what is properly mine." As he pictured "his" face, he was creepily smiling.

"Enough daydreaming it was about time he will return. Yep there he is byeee~"As he gazed into the distance, he said. He spotted a massive dragon, along with several dragons and wyverns, flying insanely fast in his direction. Before the dragon arrived, he was able to flee fast.

When the massive dragon landed, he searched his surroundings for the man. He instantly remembered something important when he saw his fellow dragons dead.

'THE EGGS!' exclaims the dragon.

He rushes to the location where the egg was hidden, but all he discovers is the nest. The other dragons tried to console him, but due to the aura he was emitting, they couldn't even approach him. If looks have the power to kill, everyone who comes into touch with him will perish instantly. Tears are on the verge of escaping.

"P-p-please.... leave me alone for now." The dragon said stutteringly. As soon as the other dragons had left his eyes welled up with tears.

"ROAAAAAAR" The dragon sobbed uncontrollably. His once-pure heart has turned dark. His heart was heavy with sorrow. He can't stop thinking about vengeance, vengeance for those who have slaughtered his fellow dragons and taken his eggs.

"I made a promise to her. I promised to protect you all, but I FAILED!" As he rampaged over the surroundings, the dragon said. Every action he has taken has resulted in earthquakes, volcanoes erupting, and tsunamis. As if nature shared the dragon's grief and wept with him.

"If only I had arrived sooner, or if I hadn't gone away and left you alone. This wouldn't happen...." He was angry with himself because he felt powerless. In frustration and wrath, he clenches his teeth.

"Those dreadful people!! I swear I'm going to wipe them all out!" He doesn't care what happens to him; all he cares about is getting his retribution. He intends to slaughter every single person on the planet. In his heart, he felt burning rage. He cried for days before finally calming down.

He was believed to have cried ceaselessly for five days.
