Chapter 40 - The Fated Ones

Fiona was incredibly upset, although she didn't mind attention from the boys while going back to school, it fed her ego quite easily. However the last man left her feeling incredibly pissed and felt like she had lost to him somehow. Her friend walking next to her was watching Fiona pout after having walked away from the "playboy" Fiona had labelled.

"Are you okay?" Fiona's friend asked, she had rarely seen Fiona react like this, often acting quite mature and seemingly being a level above others, none it however was due to her being snobbish but through her talking and actions. It seemed the young man had gotten under skin her when she would usually be unruffled at the attention.

"Ugh, it's that damn playboy. For some reason he can just easily piss me off" Fiona complained as her face was red from her anger, not that the boy was intentionally annoying her but that she let herself be flustered around him and that drove her up the wall. Almost all the time she could keep up a facade around most people but she felt that the young man saw right through her. 'And he reminds me of someone familiar' Fiona could only think. While she was desiring away with her thoughts she felt her friend's hand tighten her grip on her arm. Fiona looked down as the hand was clutching tightly onto her.

Her friend was staring intensely away from Fiona and biting her lip. But she wasn't being sultry but with her pale face Fiona could tell that she was upset.

"Jasmine, what's wrong?" Fiona asked patting her hand to reassure her, she was concerned for her and if anyone bullied her little angel she was happy to give them a wallop.

Jasmine just pointed subtly and Fiona looked over at two boys that were up against the wall. A few girls were gathered around the two and chatting constantly with them though it looked like they weren't too interested. Fiona narrowed her eyes as she saw the man she was bent on capturing to live her romantic dream. Pretending she didn't know him she could only ask Jasmine.

"Is something wrong with that boy?" Fiona let her concern show on her face but she felt a little guilt and confusion over the situation, especially seeing how afraid Jasmine was with the boy. Weren't they both good partners in the future?

"Our family's are good friends but when my parents agreed to have us engaged the young master refused and didn't wish to speak to them again. This is the first time I've seen him in years" Jasmine narrated a short script of her life, as her eyes were beginning to moisten. Seeing how upset her friend was, Fiona forgot her original intentions of wooing this supposedly charming young and tried hard to comfort her small friend. Fiona gazed at the two young boys with a small glint of anger in her eyes.

'How dare you hurt my Jasmine!!!' Fiona was furious. The romance she had imagined, the caring the man should have given and the affection he would be giving were shattered in front of her eyes, leaving Fiona only with an immense amount of anger having her dreams crushed. So she could only let loose to resolve these feelings.

"Oi, fuckface!" Fiona yelled as she strode over to the group. Everyone was startled to see a young girl running up to them at full pace. The girls were initially going to protect their prince in case something happened. But the girl running at them was steaming in  anger and rage they all backed off worried it couldn't be talked out and would be hurt. They liked their prince and idol but not if blood was going to be spilt.

"Who might you be?" Master Cho said in a relaxed manner his arms crossed over his chest as he no longer leaned against the wall, instead he took a firm stance facing the charging girl.. He had seen it many times, but girls that approached him were always irrational and left him feeling disgusted most of the time. This one would be no different, crying a little and raging before running away. It was always the same.

But this time, Fiona surprised everyone as no one expected her to be violent. Even Robert was confident the girl would do the usual routine. It wasn't until the girl hadn't slowed down and ran up to the man that everyone realised too late that she wasn't weak. Fiona had her hands clenched tight as she remembered some moves that were taught to her a long time ago. As quick as her feet, her first landed squarely in the side of Master Cho's pretty face sending him flying and crashing to the ground. Everyone was shocked at the vicious woman standing over Master Cho who had been defeated by a smaller girl. Fiona spat on Master Cho to vent her anger. If they found it was because her romantic dreams were crushed they would be in disbelief. The girls panicked and fled seeing the woman was very willing to hurt them if they got in the way, leaving the three people alone.

"That was for my friend you bastard of a man" Fiona yelled and walked away, happy that she relieved her boiling anger and skipped back to her friend.

"Let's go now" Fiona said smiling at Jasmine who was gob smacked at Fiona's actions. Doesn't she understand who that man was? Jasmine could only be scared for her and hoped her parents would help if something happened to her. Fiona was her only friend and she was terrified she would disappear. And it seemed her friend acted out without knowing. But to Jasmine there was nothing more precious to her heart then the warmth she was feeling from having her friend protect her so. It left her with a slight blush and she clung to Fiona even more now.

The two girls left as Robert helped Master Cho to his feet, the young master's face was red and starting to swell from the blow. Robert wanted to act on the spot but there were too many people. If he did, the trouble he would cause the Cho family wouldn't be small.

"Master Cho, are you alright?" Robert asked, intense fear gripped him the moment he had let the girl get close. His master wouldn't have gotten hurt otherwise and would be the sin he had to bear. But Master Cho's eyes sparkled as he kept his eyes glued on the back of Fiona and her friend that were running away in the distance.

"Robert, find out who that girl is" Master Cho instructed, a smile broke on his face surprising Robert.

"Do we teach her a lesson?" Robert asked quietly. Although he was happy to follow the young master's orders he still had a conscience to hurting a woman.

"No, she interests me" Master Cho said while shaking his head. Robert could only be concerned at the weird change his master just went through, he didn't look hurt but quite happy. Robert sweated as he realised his master might like getting hit. What would he explain to the master's parents? And so the two were lost in each of their own thoughts while they stood alone in the school.
