Chapter 5 - Chapter - 5

Maggie is scared to hear it and follow back. Adam grabs Maggie's hand and speaks.

"We don't know if the boy will survive until the rescue gets here."

"No, I can't!" She says in scared words.

Adam speaks on seeing her frightened.

"Maggie… Maggie, calm down. Breathe slowly. You can do it. You did it when there was an incident in London underground. Remember?"

"How can I forget? I could do it only because I was with you. I had so many nightmares after. That small and dark place. We went under the train. I don't want to remember it."

And what happened after.....!

She remembered the incident because after that incident she remembered that she saw the picture of Adam's wedding.

"Maggie." Adam says in soft words.

"We don't need to make Maggie do this, Adam. It's not urgent enough to put her in danger." Jack talks between the two of them.

Maggie looks the other way and hold herself, the turns to Adam and speaks.

"How badly do you think he's hurt?"

Adam predicts the condition of trapped children inside.

"He has fractures, for sure. There's also the possibility of crush syndrome…. And the avulsion fracture….. Meaning veins and arteries could be damaged."

Hearing Adam's words, she thinks. They could bleed to death….

Jack angrily approaches Adam and speaks.

"Adam! You can't force Maggie! You know she's hand claustrophobia since she was little."

Maggie tied her fingers and says with a confident look.

"What do I have to do? I'll do it. My claustrophobia is nothing compared to having a child bleeding to death."

"Maggie…" Adam said.

"You shouldn't put yourself in danger to save other peoples' lives." Jack said.

"You're right. But if I don't do it now, I might never be able to forgive myself. Give me the flashlight and the first aid kit. Doctor, tell me what to do."

Maggie told Jack and reached the entrance.

Adam looks at Maggie to see how scared she is, yet she holds herself up and speaks.

"Check what happened in the hole. Determine how many of them need the care and how severe their injuries are. Report to me on what needs to be done first. Judge for yourself and proceed if there's something that needs to be done right away. Okay."

"All right, I'm going in." Maggie said.
