As Taylor took her seat at the back of the class,she adjusted her glasses and averted her gaze as she could feel Mrs Marian, the geography teacher's icy stare.
The bell went and Mrs Marian gathered her books and left and soon after the class erupted in noise as different people discussed different things.
Taylor just took out her geography textbook to study, instead of wasting her time in a meaningless chat.
Just then, Phillipa the most popular girl in class scoffed at her. "Hey weirdo, where you been? In a trash can? Cause you look like you could use a bath. What am I saying? Even the most talented beautician couldn't make you look beautiful." Philippa mocked and the whole class erupted in laughter.
Taylor just ignored them not saying a word,she was used to it though but she couldn't get rid of the lingering pain she felt and she unknowingly began to tear up.
"Stop it Phillipa!" Tristan, the most handsome, rich and popular boy in class said and the laughter seized. Taylor was beyond shocked that he was actually defending her.
"That's being nice, she's a sewer cat,probably had some difficulty finding something to eat." He derided and the class echoed with another bout of laughter. Of course, how on earth could she have thought Tristan of all people would ever support her, he probably saw her as less human,everyone did.
A tear ran down her cheek. "Awwn...She's crying, poor sewer cat." Philippa derogated and there was more laughter. Taylor couldn't take it anymore and she ran out of the class,allowing the tears to flow freely.
