Chapter 53 - Going Away

A strange atmosphere permeated in the car as the two newly married people drove to pick Ella up. The sense of danger and urgency that had overtaken her seemed to have settled once she was sure of the protection from this man. Now she was only nervous about Ella's reaction. She twisted her fingers into knots as many more practical things seemed to be clamoring for attention inside her head. She realized that she had only worried about the safety aspect but she had not considered the fact that she was practically marrying a stranger.
