As expected when salem heard the rumor of andrew in the hospital she dropped all her plans and headed to St. James hospital.
she didn't even stop to change and ended up going wearing her dance practice clothes to the hospital. Looking graceful but out of place in her tights and form fitting pale pink leotard and black silk tutu.
Inside his room Andrew was on the bed reading some work papers, hooked to an iv, and looking burnt out.
next to him sat his sister matilda who first saw salem standing awkwardly in the doorway.
" get out" she hissed without thinking.
looking up a smile spread across his face when he eyes landed on Salem in her ballet clothes. she didn't dare move from the doorway looking like a guilty child scared to be scolded by their father.
"dont mind Matilda. did you come to say sorry?" he asked gently. despite his kind tone Salem shuddered in fear.
his voice was calming but his eyes were like a wolves ready to swallow her whole. when she heard he was sick she knew it was all her fault for keeping him outside. she consoled herself by saying it was his choice to stay but still....
despite herself, her feelings of guilt carried her forward and in her hands she carried a basket full of fruit offering it to him in an silent apology.

soon the stifling atmosphere became unbearable for salem and she was the first to break.
" I'm sorry andrew but you'r sister is right. I shouldn't be here. I just wanted to make sure you were ok."
As salem turned to leave, Matilda's face paled and Andrew's began to darken.
He was tired of his family always chasing salem away. glaring at his sister like he was plotting a brutal murder matilda was soon pressured into stopping her.
" wait! please stay here at least until I get back. I'm sorry I was rude before but could you watch over him until I'm done eating lunch?"
hearing Matildas plea, salem wanted to scream. 'I was almost out of here! you hate me. so why?!' but when she looked over at Andrews haggard appearance her stomach twisted with guilt again.
Biting her lip salem finally gave up.
"ok but please hurry" she sighed tiredly.
