After getting what he wanted, Alex decided to return to the city wall, seeing the soldiers that had been reduced twenty percent of its original size.
He then looked around and found that the evacuation was almost complete. Seeing the nearly empty city, Alex became pensive.
"Am I too ruthless?" Alex questioned himself. He began doubting himself as he thought that the life of the people was just something that he wouldn't care about as long as he didn't know personally.
Of course, it was weird to save someone that might lead to an additional problem, but if he saved them right now, there shouldn't be someone who could decipher what he did. In other words, no one actually knew it was him.
It was risk-free and the help was as simple as waving his hand.
What made him think this way was when he saw many humans were massacred without being able to do anything. Their unwilling expressions, screams, and despair touched Alex's heart.
