When he heard that, other than commenting inwardly, he did not turn back. The thing would escalate if he went with the cliches and confronted him.
Alex waved his hands, creating a small form of energy in order to distract him. For the instant he looked away, Alex disappeared. This action angered him as he never thought someone would dare to ignore him.
He pushed off the woman and chased Alex.
Alex did not really want to confront whoever he was, not because he was afraid, but it was annoying. Just by looking at his face, clothes, and characters, he knew it would be 'A family guy!' And with his cultivation, he would most likely come from one of the seven first-rate influences.
A dark alley appeared on his line of sight, tempting him to go inside. Alex smiled and leaped in, but when the guy came inside the alley, he only found a dead end. He even flew up but found no one.
This certainly baffled him as he snarled. "I remember his mask!"
