Chapter 1 - Hi

"Hey, let's go play at the back! Hurry!"

Adriana excitedly screamed as she jumped around while trying balance herself on one foot. "But it's not time to play. Mummy said we should do everything the camp instructor tells us to do" Lordina replied looking defeated. "But I want to play!"

"It's not time to play! Why are you screaming? Do you want the instructor to come here?" "But I want to play😭😭😭"

"Hey don't cry. Okay, okay we can go and play. But for long okay?"

"Okay" Adriana nodded with a beaming smile.

They walked outside hand in hand.

"What game do we play?"

"Let's play hide and seek" hopping excitedly once more.

Adriana was 9 years old and Lordina was a year younger. They both grew together living in the same estate. They met in the estate's play ground and never left each other's side. As part the activity they loved so much, which was camping, they had to stay quietly in their tents for an hour during siesta. But Adriana just couldn't sit still. And wherever she went, Lordina followed.

"🤦🏾‍♀️ Adriana will you stop hopping?! It's hide and seek"

Adriana cheekily smiled, it makes it more fun. "Don't just stand there, hop too😄"

"Fine. If I hop then you go and hide so we can go back inside okay" she said anxiously looking out for the camp instructor.

After 30 minutes of trying to find Adriana, Lordina kept searching and still couldn't. She turned to the field and saw a group jumping and dancing in a big circle. Adriana was again hopping in the circle singing along to the song they all sung. It seemed as tho they were just taught the song. And the instructor was at the center! Lordina was in trouble!

As she tried to sneak her way into the circle, one peculiar person caught her attention. With a twisted face she mumbled to herself "who is is that? Why won't he just stop trying so hard to dance, his shoes are bigger than him. Next time wear your own size. Such a show off. I can wear big shoes too. And I can even..."

"Lordina!"

Her heart skipped a beat
