IDBIRR Bonus Chapter 12.2: Information about the Labyrinth & Angus's New Skills from Chapter 12!
Info #1: The Labyrinth's Pyramid of Power!
[Lowest Tier] - Also known as the bottom tier, are the Green Units inside the Labyrinth. The Lowest Tier is mostly composed of Normal Animals like; Rabbits, Deers, Wild Cats & Dogs, Plants, Foxes, etc,.
This also includes friendly adventurers who wander inside the Labyrinth from time to time, only to capture the map layout of the Labyrinth. Last but not the least, a harmless Tood Raid on his morning stroll around the Labyrinth. He does not attack on sight, in fact, he's too shy to approach anyone so he only observes them from afar until they go away. Of course, thanks to his sheer amount of overwhelming power, everyone who's close to him feels a sense of dread and especially the feeling of DEATH if they turn around to check what it was.
[Low Tier] - is a level above the Lowest Tier. It's mainly built up with Gray Units: Passive Creatures who do not attack on sight, but would prefer to avoid fighting if at all necessary or at any cost. They only wish to lead a quiet life where no one would disturb them. You could say Angus was a Gray Unit before he evolved, although as a Rock, he wouldn't be able to fight back, nor would anyone even attack him in the first place. Even after evolution, Angus does not attack Green and Gray Units, because he loves and care for nature. A personality he has grown attached to as a process of his growth a century before as it accumulated to today's present.
Gray Units are monsters like: Golems, Giant Worker Ants, Elder Gnomes, Gnomes, Perocco, Spirits, etc,. And then there's Tood Raid, at his Passive state, whenever he encounters Adventurers who would challenge him (They don't know he's the Big Boss), he would only sigh and walk away, ignoring their challenge. Tood feels like they aren't worth even a lift of his finger. Adventurers who experience this encounter would only go back to town, claim that they fought the infamous and mysterious Labyrinth Boss, and end up becoming the laughing stock of the Adventurer's Guild because no one would believe them.
[Middle Tier] - also best known for where the cycle of life and death begins. It mostly contains Red Units. Vile and Vicious monsters who seek for blood. They are monsters who attack on sight, and cannot be reasoned with. Most of them lack the intelligence to even strike a conversation with in the first place. Although those who do have the certain intelligence to speak and think for themselves, tend to rarely converse with their opponents. So it's still unlikely to avoid a confrontation with them (Ex.Lizard Warriors). If you, perchance, accomplish to have friendly conversations with them, they would choose to either ignore/let you go.
Here are some of the examples of the Middle Tier Monsters in every Labyrinth: Goblins, Dire Wolves, Undead, Skeletons, Lizardmen, Dragonewts, Giant Serpent Snakes, Giant Soldier Ants, Man-Eater Plants, Hobgoblins, Orcs, etc,. These monsters are Angus's main enemy, he would only attack the Middle Tier inhabitants and become highly hostile with them. It is due to the fact they attacked him first in all of their first encounters.
And of course, how could we forget, the Middle Tier--- Tood Raid. In the Middle Tier, Tood Raid becomes giddy and seeks for a potential challenge. Whereas Angus was the second person inside the Labyrinth to have made him feel very excited enough for a Death Battle. Tood Raid in his casual mood is usually very passive, to the point of which friendly conversations is possible. Although if you were to strike his fancy in terms of a challenge, your fate is already quite sealed for ruin.
[Boss Tier] - Now we enter the most dangerous level of Labyrinths. This section covers about Room Bosses. Highly Dangerous monsters that are capable of destroying entire towns and castles (Country Region Level) in one night. It mostly takes a party of 20 highly skilled Adventurers that are C-A rank in terms of skill, power and experience to take atleast one Room Boss down. Thankfully, Room Bosses are tied to stay inside their Rooms and cannot leave no matter what the circumstances may be. So there is no need to worry about Room Bosses rampaging outside Labyrinths.
Some theories claim that they were once great and infamous beings who roamed the early days of the world. Back when the great Granite, was still at his golden age in the Century Fold Great War against the Tyrannical "Earth King".
For this Labyrinth, the Strongest Room Boss is the Dark Armored Knight. His history is unknown, but he was rumored to have been a famous knight from an ancient kingdom who protected his people and his most beloved king.
As for Tood Raid in the Boss Tier. He becomes serious and horrifying to face against. He would still not attack you if provoked, but if you enter his Labyrinth Boss Room without permission...pray to whichever god you may believe in and hope that it comes to save you.
Fun Fact #1: Angus is the only one who's permitted to come and go as he pleases inside Tood's Labyrinth Boss Room (He doesn't know this is a thing, even now). He stumbled upon it one day as he was exploring the Labyrinth. He would always be greeted by Tood with a goofy smile and hand him a shiny rock he collected in his strolls.
Fun Fact #2: The rumor that spread that no one has ever seen and lived to tell the tale about the Labyrinth Boss is all thanks to the Room Bosses. They were too strong that everyone who tried to challenge them, eventually dies before they could even reach the deepest parts of the Labyrinth.
Fun Fact #3: Tood Raid has never ever killed an adventurer before, mostly because he only stays passive around humans and would ignore them because they aren't even worth a dime of his time. The other reason is because of Fun Fact #2.
[Labyrinth Tier] - A level at the top of the pyramid that can only be reached by A-Rank Parties and S-Rank Adventurers. This is a level that has so many risks that it causes literal unnecessary deaths just to beat one. Who are they? They would be known as the "Labyrinth Bosses". National Threats who could prove to annihilate an entire KINGDOM (World Region Level) on their own. If you're doubtful of their strength to be capable of such feats, then I suggest that you would not underestimate the sheer level of power that are the Labyrinth Tier Monsters. Because they are unpredictable enough to become a National Threat that is capable of killing S-Rank Adventurers.
Currently, there are only 10 known Labyrinths around the world and 10 Labyrinth Bosses who stand at the top of it's peak. One of them is Tood Raid, the friendliest and strongest of them all.
In the Labyrinth Tier, those who finally reach Tood Raid's lair (none so far), will face a completely different person compared to the usual goofy werewolf. He will not show mercy for those who would step forth inside his domain, they will be faced with a constant lingering feeling of death while confronting him. His claws will surely and inevitably sink through your flesh and tear you apart until your blood will be smeared across the floor and walls. No one will escape, because there will be no escape once the doors to his room closes. The only last struggle you can pull before you face him head on, is to regret you ever entered his room.
Info #2: A Labyrinth's layout consists of sectioned and divided areas that only allows you to proceed after defeating that area's Room Boss. It get's harder and harder as you go in deeper towards the end of the Labyrinth.
[Level 1] - Is where the Green and Gray Area is located, there isn't much of a threat in this Area, as it's mostly inhabited by friendly Green Units. The Room Boss for Level 1 is a Tree Spirit, a Gray Unit Boss who only attacks if it's provoked or attacked itself. But since you need to defeat the Tree Spirit in order to proceed, you must face her without mercy. But be careful! She's no pushover even if she's the weakest among the Room Bosses!
|| Required Lvl & Rank to challenge [Level 1]: Lvl.10-20/Rank F-E ||
Fun Fact #4: Angus ignores [Level 1] since he only phases through walls in order to pass through these areas. *Happy Tree Spirit Noises*
[Level 2] - is the area for Red Monsters and many more. Home to our classic monsters like the Goblins and Slimes. In some cases, this area occasionally and rarely spawns strong monsters like Hobgoblins and Lizardmen. The Room Boss for this area is a strong Undead Skeleton Knight, it's main weapons are a shield and a sword. It can summon it's own minions to attack you.
|| Required Lvl & Rank to challenge [Level 2]: Lvl.20-60/Rank E-D ||
Fun Fact #5: Angus dominated this area and used it as his beginning farming stage.
[Level 3] - Extreme Caution and Preparation is needed. This area is off limits for beginners, death will only become the result of innocently wandering inside this area. It is adviced around the world to avoid a Labyrinth's Level 3 area "AT ALL COST". This Labyrinth's Room Boss is a Revenant Scarlet Shogun that's capable of changing his room's properties. It is rumored that the Revenant Scarlet Shogun only needs one strike in order to end it's opponents. Respectfully earning the title of [Decisive Death in One Draw]. Once again, DO NOT under any normal circumstances, enter a Level 3 area of a Labyrinth. Unless you are a C-Rank adventurer or above, it would be wise of you to stay back in Level 1 or 2.
|| Required Lvl & Rank to challenge [Level 3]: Lvl.79-99/Rank C-B ||
Fun Fact #6: Angus almost died in Level 3.
[Level 4] - Anyone who is Rank C and below is prohibited from entering this area. Although, this is only just a warning. No one will stop you from entering this area because there is no one there to stop you anyways. To conquer this area, you must form a party that's equivalent of power with five A-Rank adventurers. If you lack this much preparation, then you are naive to think that you are qualified enough to enter this Level. Level 4's Room Boss is a plant like monster, capable of attacking you with stealth. It's appearance is unknown, and would surprise you with attacks that are hard to predict where it will come from. In order to beat this Room Boss, you must first search and find it yourself, before IT finds you instead.
|| Required Lvl & Rank to challenge [Level 4]: Lvl.100-130/Rank B-A ||
Fun Fact #7: Despite lacking in emotion or feeling of pain, this Level gave Angus a bit of trauma.
[Level 5] - This area only brings Death.
Dark Armored Knight is the Room Boss for this Area. No one has ever survived up to this point.
This area is a mix of every monster inside the Labyrinth. But they are stronger, faster, tougher and even more dangerous.
Please cherish the life that's been given to you.
|| Required Lvl & Rank to challenge [Level 5]: Lvl.130-???/Rank A-S ||
Fun Fact #8: Angus had fun times in this area.
[Level 0] - ???
AKA: Labyrinth Boss Area
|| Required Lvl & Rank to challenge [Level 0]: Lvl.???/Rank S or proceed to ask of support for Lady Nerida or Lady Joane if they are available if the S-Ranks fail in their subjugation of the Labyrinth Boss ||
Fun Fact #9: Big Boss is approachable. Just don't get too close to his area as he would see it as a formal challenge from the strong.
Fun Fact #10: If Big Boss calls you "Mate" or any other nicknames in a friendly manner, then he recognizes you to have the potential to become strong enough to challenge him.
Info #3: The Labyrinth that Angus reincarnated in is called "The Death Howl", it is famous for causing the deaths of many adventurers, and before dying/surviving, they would hear the howls of a wolf.
Fun Fact #11: Big Boss pays respect for those who were brave enough to enter the labyrinth with his howls.
Info #4: Dark Armored Knight was the previous Labyrinth Boss.
Info #5: If you destroy the Labyrinth Core that shows up after defeating the Labyrinth Boss, the Labyrinth would stop functioning and become normal ruins. All of it's treasures will be awarded to you, and you will immediately earn the Rank of "Legend", bestowed upon to you by the Guild.
Fun Fact #12: You will get a special audience with the current greatest heroes in the world if you are about to be recognized as a Legend-Rank Adventurer.
Fun Fact #13: If you've shown even greater results more than anyone else, a special Rank that's called "Hero" will be given to you. You will also be granted the [Hero] title by the goddess of creation.
Fun Fact #14: If you miraculously obtain the [Hero] title, you would be given permission to have an audience with Lady Nerida, Lady Joane or the Emperor to let them bestow you their holy blessings.
Info #6: Labyrinths and Dungeons are originally ruins from the old age beginning eras of this world. The time of which Granite, Gem and the Earth King were most active. It is hypothesized that Labyrinths and Dungeons were formed due to the mythical impacts that the Century Fold Great War has left after it's devastating conclusion. It was a fierce war that influenced the creation and birth of Magic and Monsters.
Fun Fact #15: Kinda off topic, but the Century Fold Great War can also be called the "Age of Gods".
