Making their way back to the cart that was parked in the courtyard behind Ernesto's shop the pair were quiet for most of the walk back. Rin already was concerned about Leon, although she didn't understand much she could tell that the man was someone they shouldn't mess with. Which further begged the question that what was Leon then if even they would want to avoid troubling him.
"What's with the medallion" Rin said as she felt his chest and could see the slight bulge in his clothes. Leon stiffened as clasped his hand over Rin's and brought it down.
"Another time I will tell you. For now however we should go home." Leon said avoiding the topic altogether. Rin pouted a little but she was still quite thankful for Leon's bintervrmtion. Who knew what else the terrifying man had in mind. Rin nodded in agreement with what Leon was saying and crawled into the back of the cart while Leon hopped on his usual spot as the horse was walking away with the cart. They saw Ernesto give a quick wave at the pair departing the town. Since they were quite plain no one had really pointed them out as they were already a regular part of the town. The horse clipped out of the gates and Leon and Rin enjoyed the fresh air sweeping past their faces. Unfortunately one of the downsides of the town was the filth would collect and need to be taken away. However much it was cleaned the stench had always seemed to be ingrained inside of the stones leaving a slight smell on the air that people gradually got used to. For Rin and her exceptionally sharp nose had not wanted to come as it might interfere when she was making her odd concoctions which could prove to be quite deadly. As the two trundled along the outside road an odd shadow followed then at a distance. Since the cart was no longer speedj g it didn't take much effort to keep up. Brother Aaron despite being given a vicious beating to his reputation, was still persistent on what else these people were involved in. His brother's he was sure that they would have reason to their claim as they had grown up together. Moving at a distance that he could see them but it wasn't easy to tell it was him, Brother Aaron followed the pair as they made their way down the dirt road.
Rin and Leon were chatting to each other as they making their way down the road. The sight of the orphanage as a small white dot in the distance. A thought came to mind for Rin.
"Leon, let's visit the kids" Rin said, in a slightly pleading tone. After the events of the day she felt the need to have people that were happy to see you. Leon grunted in agreement and turned off onto a unused road. He had long figured out what Rin's thoughts were and what should likely do after the day. If he didn't know better it could easily be assumed that she's at the age where she's ready for a family.
Brother Aaron didn't fail to notice this and was still following behind. What was more pressing I. His mind was that the pair dealt with the orphanage. Although he had never visited it was still part of the church and it's teachings. Curling his hand tightly in turned white under the tension and followed after the two hoping to catch onto something else.
Leon was usually quite sensitive to his surroundings had long noticed their visitor. Although he wasn't sure who it was, his sharp nose and eyes had already picked up a man was following them. Since he kept a respectable distance he wouldn't bother with the stranger. Soon they arrived at the orphanage. Rin kept her eyes wandering all over as she noticed that the orphanage had gone through so many changes. The originally cracked and peeling paint was redone in a brighter colour. She could even smell the scent of freshly roasted meat as the children were already running back to the courtyard for the evening meal. The children had a much healthier complexion then last time causing Rin to hold back her smile. Although it wasn't much, the scene of all the smiling children moved something within her that she didn't understand.
"Big sis is here" one of the children shouted and pointed at Rin. Leon and Ren had already altered the cart and hopped off as a children's swarmed around them chatting and giggling away.
"Big sis, big sis look look" one of the children said. His smalll hands clutched a bunch of eggs that they had freshly picked up. Rin bent down and patted the child's head.
"Big sis is proud. When did you get so lucky to have eggs?" Rin said unable to hold her smile back anymore. The child hopped excitedly and tried to piece his words together.
"With the money from big sisters' plants we could buy chickens" the child said happily. His face was proudly beaming at that. The children said their approval and the group collectively took Rin an fleas her towards the new chicken coop. Leon watched on, bemused at the scene. A small hand grasped his as he looked down to see a small girl holding onto him. With a tug he let out a chuckle and followed the group along to see the new animals. The clucks could be heard easily from outside the coop as the chickens hopped around their new home. Rin was already chatting and pointing at the chickens.
