©THE FERRIS HERE ISN'T THE MC, JUST SAYIN, idk if u even remember®

"who made this?"
"the same old cook, why?"
"it's delicious"
On what you would call a park bench, two men were eating breakfast. A mere glance at the meal could even make your eyes watery just by seeing it, I won't even be surprised if monkeys would beat each other up just to get one simple bite.
The bench was facing the rising sun and it surely was one hell of a view to look at. It was certainly beautiful, you could probably look at it for five hours only if you could shield your eyes from the sun ©if you understood that reference, I will kiss you®. The area was decently open and only a few trees were scattered around, kids were playing whatever kids do, fake swordplay, hide and seek, and of course, the classic tag.
"so, your man now Sabaoth. Don't you think it's time for you to quit?" Ferris asked
"yes yes yes I already told you, I've been saving money... It's time for me to leave this place" he replied in hurry
"your leaving this place? To where?"
"to somewhere... I... I'm just tired going through the same schedule everyday, I want to explore dad"
"No you ca.... Oh.. What the hell, your already 21 or something"
Ferris looked a little frustrated, he was about to smack talk his son again but he suddenly just gave up. Maybe you could order a random kid around if your an adult, but if it's an adult then of course not. Adults are already mature enough to do whatever the hell they want, Ferris obviously knows this and he can't go against that fact. He could forcefully lock Sabaoth up inside the orphanage but no father would ever do that, even if Sabaoth is just an adopted kid.
"just~... Don't get yourself involved with.. bad stuff"
"I know that dad, you've already drilled that in every orphan here"
"heh.."
Ferris began to chuckle a bit, the breakfast that could make anyones stomach filled with joy was simply ignored. Ferris placed it on the empty seat beside him and he began chuckling even more until he was pretty much laughing. No jokes were thrown off and somehow he found amusement, Sabaoth couldn't get his mind at the right place to understand the joke, did I accidentally tell a joke? Is it me he's laughing at?
"no no no, son do you have a wife yet? Or even a girlfriend" Ferris asked while wheezing his lungs out
"? No.. not yet"
"absolute virgin" Ferris mumbled
"what did you say?"
Sabaoth raised his voice, as an adventurer himself his ears were decently keen at hearing noises, even whispers if he focused hard enough.
"get one already, your 21 for Jesus sake haha"
"..."
Sabaoth couldn't come up with a comeback there, there's no way anyone would survive that insult. Sabaoth didnt have any girl in mind, the only possible way to balance the destruction those words caused is to simply admit it.
"I'll get one.."
"!"
Sabaoth quickly leaned back to dodge something, fortunately for him he managed to save the delicious food. A girl with blinding white hair ran by while holding a stick in the air, kids followed from behind the girl and they also held sticks. Whatever they were doing, Sabaoth didn't have much of an attention to it, although that particular girl was an exception.
"who's she? I don't recognize that face"
"her?.. She's new"
"and how did you find another orphan this time?" Sabaoth asked sarcastically while continuing his meal
"no I didn't, She did... there's something different about that kid you know... I wonder what she'll be when she grows up, maybe a fine young woman.. Hopefully"
"you never fail to raise good kids, not me of course" Sabaoth stated with a slightly grim expression
"you really think everyone I raise is all goodie two shoes? Everyone has their deepest evil, I'm just merely~... pushing them away from it"
You could say things got a little grim at the last moments there, Sabaoth didn't acknowledge it that much but Ferris certainly did. The many lives of orphans are being treated by a single man, just one of them facing the path of evil could be devastating for Ferris to experience. Every responsibility has its burden on the weilder, very heavy burdens in some cases.
"I think it's my last quest tomorrow just a goblin nest found in some abandoned mine shaft. After that I'll~.. finally leave...." Sabaoth said to his father, he did got quite excited for the day after tomorrow
"heh, get a wife along the way as well... And comeback once you've traveled across the world or something like that, your dad here needs to see his son's grandchildren"
Unless of course, if he did actually survive that quest and things could've been very very different if he actually did survive.

All that flew across Ferris's mind, he didn't need to watch it in slow motion. Just a single thought of it was already as clear as day to him.
(get a girlfriend... certainly not her of course, we've just met)
He stood there thinking hard while taking a leak at the toilet, he thought of it real hard and still he didn't got any conclusions to firmly believe in. He then shook his great sword like any man would do after peeing. The bathroom he went to pee in was foggy since Dorothy's mother just took a bath there, to be honest it was actually pretty cool when Ferris emerged from the foggy bathroom.
"Ferris!"
Ever since Ferris talked to Dorothy, she was pretty gloomy but with a sudden change of mind, she felt a drastic increase in her confidence level for whatever reason.
"I'll be fine! I think time is on my side! Thank you!" she deeply thanked as she bowed in a steep 140 degree angle, she had some flexibility or her sheer happiness just blocked off her feeling of pain to even notice
"(thank you? Thank my dad, he made that quote) happy to help then.."
After his quick reply Dorothy bowed even deeper as a sign of gratitude, at this point she'll might as well be seeing her butt at the really steep angle she's performing.
"where's your dad? I'd like to tell him something, I don't mind waiting if he is busy" he asked
"no don't worry he can multi task" she said although, Ferris felt a little creeped out with the sudden change of her expression
