(damn, i didn't expect something like this and I thought it was easy money but guess it's not) Sarya thought as she looked around with a worried face
It was quiet, you'd expect quite a few animals running around but the only thing that's considered living around the area was the countless trees that surrounded Sarya. Hearing a sudden rustle on the ground could be alerting, it meant that someone other than the non-existent animals just took a step and it's certainly a living creature. You could pray that it was Kai, Seig, or Egam that made the rustle but if it's something other than that then it's unknown, that's what makes it scary. The atmosphere of the forest was in the shade of darkish blue with a sprinkle of thick fog, all of this to add to the already creepy setting.
Sarya wandered around aimlessly, hoping to get in contact with the rest. However, that hope only walked further away as Sarya already walked for almost an hour. The creepy atmosphere hasn't changed but the feeling of someone watching you grew more and more as the time went by.
(i think I already saw this exact tree formation...) Sarya thought as she passed that familiar tree formation while staring at it
She had the weird feeling of deja vu while walking around aimlessly, she was certain that she saw that excact formation already, Was she walking around in circles? or was insanity building up inside her. Every now and then she kept putting her hand on top of her sword's handle at random intervals, she was getting more anxious and was getting more observant to look for anything out of the ordinary.

(i aint ganna die from this...) Sieg thought as he looked around
It was quiet for a forest but he did find a single hummingbird watching him from a tree branch, it was the only thing living other than the trees. Sieg felt a slight urge to investigate it since it was alone, does it have a friend? a pair? A flock to be with? As he slowly approached the bird it flew away to a different tree branch not to far away, He repeated the same action again and the bird also repeated the same action again by flying away to a different tree branch.
This went on and on for almost an hour but Sieg was still willing to follow it but you can't follow something forever, sooner or later he lost track of the hummingbird. He walked forward while looking around for the hummingbird and as he was about to past a tree, a woman appeared from behind it but Sieg was looking at his left so he didn't saw the woman, coincidentally the woman was also looking away but at the right.
At this brief moment, they bumped into each other. Sieg's first instinct was to draw out his dual daggers and the woman's first instinct was to draw out her blade. Luckily both of them stopped at the last second, one second late could spell death to one of them.
"Sarya?!"
"Sieg?!"
They quickly retreated their weapons, both of them had relieving expressions as if they finally got what they yearned for. Sarya was the first one to start the conversation and she had something urgent to tell.
"hey, I think I have a theory.. I don't know if I'm just insane or not but when you go behind a tree and I can't see you, you'd get separated just like the boy who went to grab his ball....call me crazy I don't really mind" Sarya said
"should we test it?" Sieg asked
"what happens when I'm right?! We'd get separated again" Sarya replied
"any solutions if this theory of yours is correct?" Sieg asked again
Sarya thought for while, her head was a little puzzled as the gears inside her mind didn't function together properly but in a matter of a few seconds her gears finally started to work together which made a simple solution.
"well... we could hold hands so we can't get into each other's blind spot"
It's a weird solution but it could work, it meant that no tree could separate them because they always had to follow the same route together instead of breaking off and somehow eventually getting behind a tree only to get separated from the party.
Sieg was a bit hesitant about the solution but he had no choice since Sarya already let out her hand as if she was asking for a handshake, she looked happy while doing that, it seemed like she was confident in her solution. Sieg quietly stared at Sarya while he awkwardly held her hand, and soon they walked together in a random direction.
"let's find the rest" Sarya said as both of them held hands while walking deeper into the endless forest
