Its morning... I am in the forest, acompanied by a stranger...
I woke up staring at the sky. I am so tired to get up. I still cant believe what happened. I am still shocked on what happened yesterday. I still remember the day I worked, even I work alone yet it is still . Then in a minute, the home I lived in will be destroyed like that. Now is not the time. l have to go back to my village. l stand up slowly. I turn to my left surprisingly the swordsman left. Where'd he go? He left me alone. Yeah that's right, who l am to be babysitted by him. But still l hope he is here. Because he promise that we will go to tengoku. Suddenly l heard a voice behind me.
"So you are awake? l just wandered around to get some food." the swordsman said.
"Yea I am fine now. where'd you go? l thought you left already and didn't come back." I replied to him.
"Just like l said, l just wandered around to get some food. Here eat this." he said, throwing the food he had collected at my feet. My stomach rumbled.
l ate the food he threw at me and thanked him. l eat without asking any question. I am very hungry that l forgot to ask him if we could go now to tenguko.
After l ate... he speak, what he said made me surprise...
"ls your village called tenguko?" he asked while sitting under the tree facing me, sword resting in his shoulder.
"Ahh, tha-that's right, how'd you know?" l said it in my surprised. How did he know. Did he find another survivor? I think no, because if he found someone, surely he will acompany him/her here.
"ls that so? l just stopped there before l came back here. l thought it is right to check, hoping that there is more survivor. But when l got there, l am too late. There are no monsters. All left in that place was bodies of the dead people. l'm sorry for what happened to your village." he said.
My eyes are widened. My body is shaking. l can't believe the words l am hearing. lt cant be!!! I am the only survivor left. l cant take these. Why is it only me? ls this torture? lf it is, l dont want it!...
" Don't blame yourself. lts not your fault. The one who must be blamed for is those damn monsters." he said.
His words motivated me to continue living. lt is like that time when mom and dad died. "Yeah that's right l must continue to live!". l have to avenge the people l have known that had been killed by those damn monster. That will be my courage to move forward!!! This will be my strength.
Suddenly the swordsman stood up. He will now depart. l stand up too.
"Wait sir. uhm... may l come and join you. l want kill those monsters!!!" l said to him with anger in my face. With determination to carry on.
"l understand what you feel but you dont have any idea on what will you dealing with." he said.
"But, still l want to do my best to avenge my village. NO MATTER WHAT!!!" l said with full of determination. He looked shocked when l said that last sentence. He sighed, he walk away without answering my question. lt cant be like this. l have to follow him. l follow him as he stride away.
Suddenly he ran fast. Too fast that l cant follow his steps. l run very fast to follow his steps. He's very fast, if this goes on l may not catch on him. "Wait" l said hoping he will hear. However ge run like he did'nt hear me. l am very exhausted, but l need to catch up. l still run even my legs hurt so much. As l run my steps feel heavier as time pass. l think it will be a half of hour yet we still run. This guy seems like this is nothing for him. ARGH!!! My head is spinning. l think l may collapsed anytime. Then he stopped when we reach a city nearby.
"You passed" he said while smiling.
This is the start of my revenge. l felt my body suddenly burn up.
This is just a simple test for others but,
lt is afternoon when we sttoped by at the city. l seen many things out there. Many shops are open, l want to do shopping, but this is not what l must do now. Right now, l just passed the first test that he gaven yet, l'm not sure if there will be another test, and my body is exhausted. l need to rest. My stomach rumble. l am very hungry because of that non-ending run. The knight might heard my stomach rumble, we stopped at a nearby shop to eat. l need to regain my strength so l need to eat many. The knight just eat some bread. After we eat, we go to a hotel to rest. we rent a room for days. l am not sure how many days were gonna stay here. He rented separate room for us. "thanks" l said to him. When l receive the key l rush to my room to rest. The bed is very soft that makes me comfortable. l relaxed myself and fell to sleep.
