We all step onto the beach with big smiles across our faces, we're met by a gentleman who looks to be the same age as our headmaster.
"Welcome my old friend! The place is all ready for you all please make yourselves at home."
The headmaster shakes his hand with a generous expression across his face.
"Thank you for helping us, but are you sure Sid?"
The man called Sid nods while never breaking his smile.
"Of course it's fine, I know all to well what im getting into so do not worry about me and just go get settled in, I have to deal with some other matters, and ill come to talk with you later."
With that said he walks away and the headmaster leads us down a pathway. I look around at the many different flowers, plants, trees, and animals roaming around in awe. Everything was so pretty and interesting but I dared not touch anything without knowing much about nature itself.
(This island looks very beautiful and fruitful, I can't wait to go exploring if that's allowed.)
After a long walk we arrive at a rather large condo-looking place, The headmaster opens the door for us and we all walk in feeling the nice and cool air-conditioned house. I immediately sit down on the nearest chair and lean back into it.
"Ah this feels so nice, so what's next Headmaster?"
The headmaster smirks annoyingly.
"Alright from now on call me Chen, not headmaster...we aren't in school right now and it's just getting...old..."
We all laugh at him which he quickly changes the subject.
Chen clears his throat and continues to talk once more.
"Alright, there are plenty of rooms for each with you to have your own. Since there are only two girls amongst us they will choose their rooms first. So you two go choose a room."
Kana and I both look at each other happily and go to look at all of the rooms, I find one similar to the room I had in Kiritos condo except the bathrooms weren't joined, Kana chooses the room next to mine, next the boys came to choose theirs. Kirito gets the room in front of mine while Ash is in the other room next to me as well. Kadachi is on the right to Kirito while Suzaku is on the left, Shun and Chen's rooms are side by side on the bottom floor and we all begin to unpack.
Once everyone was done I think about Ash and come up with an idea to help him. I open my first aid kit and draw some of my own blood and stick it in a blood bag. I then place it into the mini-fridge next to my bed and go straight to sleep.
Around 3 am I wake up to a loud crash and sit up sleepily rubbing my eyes, I look around but do not see anyone.
(What on earth?)
I listen for a minute and after a long silence I decide to go investigate, I quietly open my door and take soft steps over to a rustling noise I hear coming from Kana's room. I lightly knock on the door and hear a faint voice from inside.
"Come in..."
I open the door and see Kana leaning over the bed with one hand on her stomach, pain was written all over her face, I immediately rush to her side.
"Kana what happened are you all right?!"
She takes a couple of deep breaths before answering.
"I'm fine, Yuki...I think im in labor!"
Shocked by her response im dumbfounded for a moment with loads of questions and worries. She seemed to noticed my panicked state and grabs my hand.
"Calm down...And go call the Dr!"
I nod and immediately run to our Headmaster room and start pounding on the door, He opens the door furiously and looks like he's about to yell but I cut him off before he could talk.
"It's Kana, She's in labor! Call the Dr here now!"
He sighs a long frustrated sigh before going to fetch his phone, I run back up to Kana and help her onto the bed.
"Kana, how far along are you now, is it ok for the baby to be born this early?!"
Kana sighs, she looked exhausted and was sweating, I grabbed her hand and sat down next to her taking a few deep breaths myself to try to compose myself.
"Ok, im sorry...Is there anything you need me to do for you, Kana?"
She giggles before responding.
"It's ok, it's a natural reaction. Anyway, I could use some water."
I go get her some water and when I come back the Dr and Chen are already there assessing her and the baby.
The Dr uses an ultrasound to look at the baby, he smiles and places the ultrasound back into its holder.
"Your baby is fine, you are in labor but you are 36 weeks so it should be fine. If it does need to be in the NICU then we will have that taken care of, Also you are 7 centimeters dilated already so it's to late to give you the epidural but if you would like any of the other optional pain medications that are safe we can get them for you."
Kana shakes her head and smiles softly.
"It's ok, I want to feel this I want to feel all of it."
The Dr smiles and pats Kana's hand.
"You are a brave young woman and I will be here every step of the way to make sure you and baby are safe, My nurse is on her way and should be here any minute so I can have an extra pair of hands."
Kana nods, I decide that was my cue, and I bow in respect to her.
"I'll be waiting in the hall, call me if you need anything, Kana."
Kana smiles warmly at me.
"Yuki, thank you...When he is born I want you to be the first to hold him."
I giggle feeling a warm sensation run through me realizing what she was doing.
"Thanks, Kana."
I close the door behind me after the nurse walks in and stand next to it.
Many questions and worries run through my mind as I thought about the whole situation, my mind races so much I failed to notice someone had walked right up to me until I felt a hand on my shoulder, I jumped a little feeling startled until I looked up to see it was Ash.
"What are you doing standing in the hallway?!"
I sighed in relief which seemed to startle him even more.
"It's Kana, Shes in labor right now and im worried about the baby and her, He's our nephew our flesh and blood, and she's a good friend of mine, im just-"
Ash cut me off with a hug that caught me completely off guard. It was a sweet and loving hug, so much so that it indeed calm me down a bit.
"Calm down dummy, They will be fine...But I am going to go somewhere else for now...I don't want to smell their...Blood."
Guilt instantly hit me and I tugged on his sleeve.
"Go into my room and in the mini-fridge by my bed is some blood I drew from myself...I know it's not much but..."
Ash took off his mask and I could see his gentle face, his eyes looked beautiful in the moonlight, he rubs my head.
"Thanks, Yuki, But next time...know you do not always have to take care of me like this."
I smile at him before he turns and leaves, he grabs the blood bags and goes back to his room.
(I hope that...Maybe one day Ash I can save you too...)
A few hours pass and as im about to drift off to sleep next to the door I hear the most beautiful sound ever wakes me up instantly, The sound of a newborn crying for the very first time, The door then opens up and the nurse hands me the baby wrapped in a cloth, I nervously take it and hold it while walking into the room to Kanas bedside, she looked extremely tired and was very pale, the Dr started some IVs.
I sit next to Kana who is looking at the baby and me with a bright smile.
"The Dr said he's a boy, Yuki can you help...Name him?"
I looked at her teary-eyed filled with lots of emotions as the baby boy clings to my finger, he was tiny and had light brown hair, a mixture between Kana and Kazuki's traits.
"But Kana...He's your son it should be you-"
Kana cuts me off by shaking her head.
"I can't think of any good names for him, just give me some suggestions then."
I giggle and hand her the baby, she happily cuddles with him and I think of some names, after a few minutes pass I manage to come up with a few.
"How about..."
