(Sawyer's p.o.v)
I sit down at my table and I feel incredibly lonely. I can't believe I'm saying this but if it meant I was with Lily, I would be in Gryffindor. I don't have a crush on her but she is my only friend. My thoughts are interrupted when a kid waves their hand in front of my face. "So it's you. You're the descendant of Salazar Slytherin?" I roll my eyes and grab an apple. "You heard my name, you saw me get sorted, could it be more obvious." He glares at me and opens his mouth to say something but a girl with black hair stops him. "Lucious, leave him alone." He pushes her hand away and snaps as if she were a dog. "Stay out of this Narcissa." She glares at him but looks down and walks away. "I swear, women sometimes are so annoying." I snort and take a sip of my pumpkin juice, I wouldn't know, I'm pretty sure I'm gay. I want to say this but I hold my tongue. "First-year Slytherins follow me." The perfect says and walks out the door. We walk down and down and down all these stairs and I don't know how, but I end up walking with Narcissa, who wasn't with her group. "You shouldn't let him talk to you that way," I say after a bit, she looks at me confused as to what I mean. "He talks to you like you're a dog, you shouldn't let him." She looks down and nods while sighing. "My parents want him and I to marry when we are older, to keep the bloodline pure." I shake my head in disgust. "If you ever have to, make sure you at least get respect from him, don't let him treat you like that." We get to the portrait of Salazar Slytherin and someone shoves me forward. "Make sure you say hi to your grandpa." He teases. I shake my head and Narcissa grabs my hand in support. "Leave him alone." The perfect rolls his eyes and looks at the painting. "This is the password so pay attention: nisi serpens" I chuckle at the stupidness of the password. "What's so funny?" Narcissa asks. "nisi serpens means "snakes only" I just thought it was stereotypical." We both laugh and walk into the cold, dark common room. "Dang, it's cold in here." Cissy shivers and rubs her arms. "It's worse in the winter, we are directly under the black lake so bundle up." The perfect gives us a few pointers then tells us to go to bed. When I get to my room I see my trunk on a bed so I walk up to it and grab a pair of pj's to change. When I get in bed I look up and see thick glass and murky water with swimming things, while my eyes close all I think is "are the other common room this bad?"
