Chapter 2 - Dimedite

It was the last night by the sea… for a group of 6 Warrior Gods sent to earth to guard the portal leading to the realm of gods, "The Bermuda Triangle." Three years they have been defending this portal, three long silent years. Over that period of inactivity, the gods got comfortable and made the mistake of having children. One includes me, a 2-year-old girl, named Drea and the other two women are due any day now.

This particular day had a moment beyond what anyone can ever ask for—clouds with no movement at all, which played a significant part in this breathtaking scenery. In fact, to paint a picture with words, they were darkish grey stretched out and smeared across the sky. Colors mixed in the background, pass the clouds shades of orange, raging yellow, and a golden rim appeared on one side: the other purple and the coldest midnight blue with a pink streak.

The sea was clear, like a mirror reflecting everything above, a split image. Standing on the edge of the sand staring straight out, it would seem like you were on the tallest cliff looking out at the open sky above and below. It was soon revealed why this day was so different. The sky split into two right down the middle, night and day, good and evil.

For the Burst Gods, the very people the Warriors were sent to protect this area from arrived. After three years of guarding this area, the warriors became comfortable laid back and unprepared. Now sadly, a day no one thought would come, slowly crept in plain sight no ambush, no sneak attack. Even though they could be seen miles away walking on the surface of the water, no one could budge.

It was as if our lives were already being squeezed by their hands, suffering, gasping for one more opportunity. Within seconds everyone's minds were filled with so much it was hard to focus on anything.

My father, one of the warriors, quickly shouted: "What are you waiting for? Get in position".

My mother quickly stashed me in a hiding spot and told me not to move and went to join the fight, for the other women who were pregnant went to seek shelter some other place. Without a word, thick fog spread across from the sea so fast in minutes no one could see an inch in front of where they stood. A beautiful sight simply erased, weapons clashing, ground shaking, and water splashing. As quick as the battle started, it was over… it was quiet, and the mist suddenly died down.

" Honey, don't be scared *cough, cough*… you're going to come with mommy to safe places ", mother said.

She was coughing up so much blood; strapped to her was the soul essence of the two unborn baby gods, which meant the others were dead. She knew the only chance to save them was to remove their soul essence from the two mothers and put them into another body quickly for incubation. She promptly scooped me into her arms and took off flying as fast she could but, her flames burned too bright due to her speed and was spotted. One of the villains began to chase her, and there was no way she was escaping with all the weight.

Thus, a decision was made; she would use half her power to land a hit on him, which may slow her movement, but it might buy some time. She was nervous and unsure that it was going to work, and when she finally made her mind and turning around for the shot, he was gone… or so she thought… she resumes flying, and he appeared right in front of her. Her eyes grew wide as she covered my face… she seems to be in shock, confused as if she knew the person standing before her. Aiming to take us all out, he stuck fast, but she could slightly dodge it, causing his blade to barely graze my left eye.

Not knowing she uses the remaining of her power to flee, but she was faster for a reason. The rope tied around both containers for the baby's essence was slashed, both falling back down and shattering. The essence quickly scattered, trying to find a host before dying out.

Moments later, a bright blinding light appeared, "Dea... r...Drea take a look wel... Welcome to the God Realm", Mother said with a smile as she took her last dying breath.

" Mother… don't go", I cried.

No response, I cried my heart out; not only did my mother just die, but I also don't know where my father is. I don't know where I am, sadness, anger, and confusion with these emotions eating at my very soul my body couldn't handle, and I passed out. When I awoke, a mysterious lady was staring, standing above me.

" Calm yourself, child, no need to worry. My name is Aphrodite, Goddess of love and beauty, and I will be your caretaker. It seems you hyperventilated from all the emotion and passed out. You hurt yourself pretty bad have been asleep for 3 years", she said.

" 3 years," I asked.

" Well, in this realm, time is different 3 years here is 3 months on earth this is managed by the time gods", she said.

" 3 Years, so I'm 6-years-old and I... I never went to bed that long", I shouted.

" Well, your 5 actually, sweetie but, we will work on that in due time. By the way, this whole realm turns to a big healing chamber at night. It was made this way for gods to sleep longer so that the body and energy may fully recover. Even though you are a god, you were born on earth; your body is not used to this place yet", she said.

" Gods meaning more than one, right," I asked?

" Correct, dearest, you see every God, every belief exists Norse, African, Roman, Chinses, and Greek, you name it they are all here. You see, everyone plays a part; you have 3 types of gods you have: Creation gods such as Hephaestus, who use their power to create weapons, worlds, or manage time; Warrior gods such as Zeus, Ra, and Poseidon who use their powers to protect us, other planets, and realms safe from evil. Then you have Burst gods; these gods are born evil because they are born overpowered. You see, burst gods are born with both the power to create and be a warrior. This happens when a creator god and a warrior god mate which is now forbidden", she said."

Years had passed as I was under the care of Aphrodite, now a 252 years old goddess or, in earth time, a 7-year-old girl. I am now the size of a full-grown woman, which meant it was time. The box that my mother left for me, it was time for it to whisper its secrets that were trapped inside.

-If you're reading this, it means you have grown to a nice fine young woman. Of course, you should know on that terrifying night the very demons we were guarding the portals against showed their face. What you do not know is that one of those demons were within our mist. I didn't have time to gather evidence to reveal the identity, but you must trust no one, at least at the moment, you must find the other two little gods or goddesses if they're still alive and you must stick together it's the only safe way. I'm sorry to bestow this burden onto you, your loving mother-

From that moment on, I vow to find the monsters responsible for my mother's death. Also, I would say it's a good time for most of my training is almost done with Aphrodite. Although there is much I still have to learn, I am comfortable in myself and my ability.

Aphrodite often says, "You remind me so much of your mother-child with your smooth light skin, long green dreaded hair, eyes like shining green emeralds and tall like an Amazonian," *Giggles*.

I'm pretty sure she exaggerates about that part seeing that I'm only 5'10.

" If you stood eye to eye this day, not even Zeus himself could tell you apart," says Aphrodite.

Really I knew that was a lie just to comfort me; how could I forget this hideous long scar across my eye. Not a day goes by without this scar reminding me what happened that day, which is why I must leave tonight. Later that day, while Aphrodite was asleep, I made my escape to the portal.

" Stop there, Miss, what's your reason for leaving the realm," says the guard.

"Aphrodite wants me to go to earth to collect some herbs for my next lesson. I must have them by morning", I replied.

" Do you think I'm some kind of idiot? Why don't you just have a creator make some herbs," says the guard?

" Not everyone takes the easy way out. Maybe if you put in work sometime, you would have a better job than to say, Raise The Gates," I said.

*Grunt*" I don't know what you're up to, Dimedite, but you better take care of your business quick… Raise the gates", He said.

I left and immediately returning to the beach where it all last took place. I quickly disguised myself as an ordinary person from the exploration book I so much love and went searching for herbs for when I return. While I was looking around that night, I was ambushed by many villagers asking was a doctor. Without giving me time to explain, they rushed me to a local Native American village.

Immediately when I arrived 5 feet before the village, I felt this small energy, small but a little too much for a typical human. No doubt about it; it had to be the newborn from back then. I guess it's weaker because of the human DNA. Once I was shown the problem, it was him; indeed, he was in trouble.

Besides that, he looked every bit of unique, from the amount of power even though he was tiny, his hair long and black, and his little hazel eyes. His name was My'Koda of the A'Ni village.

" What's wrong," I asked.

Once I took a good detailed look at him, I notice his warm skin and yellow eyes; I remember going over it with Aphrodite about the yellow eyes when sick it a genetic disease on earth called "Sickle Cell Anemia." It wasn't curtained only a hunch but a glimpse at his eye; it was worth a try.

"How old is he," I asked, trying to keep their mind off what's happening.

" He is 2 years old", said the Chief.

Picking him up, I clinched him tight, bringing him to the water; I used one of my abilities, "Phoenix Fire," but it only subsided the problem, not cure it. Flowing my power through him caused a small portion of his god-like DNA to awaken, causing a white circular patch to appear on his head. I thought I should take this opportunity, so I ask the Chief, trying to convince him that I could take Mykoda and treat him better than he should allow me to take him, but it was too late. Moments later, commotion grew louder; what was happening I didn't quite understand, but one thing was clear, and that's the execution of the Chief.

The chieftess and a small baby girl were allowed to stay while My'Koda was banished. I asked the villagers was it okay if I continue to visit My'Koda, and they agreed. Time and time again, I saw My'Koda, not just to make sure his health was stable but to teach him, keeping him on his toes with knowledge.

For 15 years, I kept it hidden that this human life of his was a fluke, that he was much more than this, that he was a god. Then again, if I told him, what would have come? Better yet, if I was to take him away from this life, where would he have gone? Even though he was god, the incident he was placed in caused him to have a mix of human DNA. Knowing that, Aphrodite wouldn't allow him to stay, but in the end, he must know.

On the day I decided to tell him exactly what he really was, it turned out not to be the best day, the new earth guardians had died, which meant that those same monsters which killed my family were back. Which made me very eager to return back to earth. I knew they had to send down someone to get rid of this evil and make things right, or else the prayers that give all gods strength would soon evanesce, and so would we. When I got the chance, I snuck out and went to see My'Koda and make sure he was okay.

That's when I found out from one of the villagers My'Koda was no longer here, that he was taken to a better place, so they say. When I saw that it was a fighting camp, I thought he needed to be saved, but I've never seen him happier as I watched. So to keep an eye on him, I followed my desire and decided to join. Living right next to him without him even knowing, which was hard because I still had to try and mask my power from Aphrodite and the other gods.

During the fights, I kept my power low to that of a regular human. My team did good enough just so that we could become the number two cabin, and that's when I felt like it was time for him to see the real me. I went to the camp director and suggested that we have a 4 on 4 fight against the mighty number one ranked camp. On my way back to my cabin to work on how I'm going to introduce myself, I felt this grave evil energy, froze me dead in my tracks.

Boom! Boom! Explosions occurred all over the camp.

" Everyone run gets out of here," I shouted.

I had to look for My'Koda and the person causing this, so I rush to cabin 9. When I saw two people descend from the sky. I hid around a house and peaked, the second person, I couldn't see but the person next to him who was picking up a body from the pile of rubbish. When I saw his face, images of that awful night flowed through my mind. He was the one who did that to my mother, he was the one who gave me this cut on my eye, and he was the one who slashed my mother's straps, causing My'Koda to fall to the earth. I rushed around the corner to My'Koda, for he had fainted.

" You, I swear on my life I'm going to kill you for what you did," I said.

"Boss, look, it's a little goddess, and I think she talking to you. Sorry sweets, you're a little too weak for us, and the Boss doesn't have time to play", said the masked man.

" So you don't remember me, YOU DON'T REMEMBER THIS SCAR, I shouted!

" I don't know who you are, but we must have met because you smell like unfinished business. I'll tell you what not many people live to know my name, so remember this it will refresh my memory when we meet again, my name is Agares", said the masked man.

Images of my mother slowly dying continued to flow and flow. So it fueled my flames, and I was done talking; my hair turned from hot red to blue flames. Suddenly a hand was placed around my neck, and I notice the person with the body had disappeared.

"You see, you're still weak. You didn't even notice the Boss was gone", said Agares.

With a very familiar voice, my sworn enemy whispered in my ear, " Easy young goddess, I just came to fetch my subordinate, it isn't time for bloodshed. We will meet again, Drea. Until then, keep that boy safe".

Just as fast as he was at that moment, they both disappear with the body. I quickly grabbed My'Koda, took him to a safe spot, wrote instructions, and bought a ticket to keep him moving out of harm's way. I had to return to the god realm. I need to find info on this Agares and awaken My'Koda powers; he's a sitting duck without them.

Once I got into the god realm, knowing that time here works differently, I didn't have time to waste. I rushed towards The Tower of Knowledge; here lies Hermes and Thoth, some of the Gods of knowledge, always were. Within seconds I was told that Agares was a demon 2nd of the 72 general demons and is usually spotted riding a crocodile. My'Koda, on the other hand, it was said that to harness his powers, he must be placed in a near-death experience for his abilities to be awakened. He will never be a full god or possess powers as strong as a god because of his human DNA. Knowing this information, I knew exactly what I had to do, and I wasted no time returning to earth.

There he was, running towards the bus, and it seems he made yet another human friend. As bad as I hate him losing those close, I had to do what I came to do. Not dead just near-death, that's it … not too much power. I'll just use the weakest move in my arsenal, "Spit flame" basically, I turn some of my split into a ball of flame.

It spreads extremely quickly but won't kill a Demi-god, at least I hope not. I just need to wait until My'Koda takes his seat and flicks it onto him through the bus window. The plan was simple and full proof in and out.

Once I saw him take his seat, I immediately flicked it with perfect aim, that's until the wind blew with a strong gust and the bus suddenly started to pull off, causing it to land near the rear end of the bus. It began to spread, and one thing leads to another by that I mean--

Boom! Boom!
