"So you two escaped and have been on the run ever since," Shina guessed.
"Yes," Hayoung replied. "After we ran away, we had been living in the woods to avoid detection. My powers were becoming weaker so the charms I put around us did not stay for long."
"We got formally married at the temple," Sunyoung stated. "Sometimes, we were almost caught by the Black Rose members but somehow, we managed to escape them. It became hard for us to stay in one place for long."
"After a few months, I heard what happened to my village," Hayoung went on.
"What happened there?" Shina asked.
"Not there," Hayoung said. "Here."
Shina frowned in confusion. "Here? What do you mean?"
Hayoung indicated the village around them. Shina was still confused for a moment before it hit her.
"This...this is your village?" she whispered. "But I thought you were escaping the Black Rose? Why walk into their headquarters?"
