Cherry did not say it out loud. Instead, she smiled and said, "Nice to meet you too Mrs. Kim. Why don't you take a seat?"
She sensed that Jiyeon probably got nervous around strangers for some reason. The latter hesitated and glanced at Joowon as if asking what to do.
"Go on," he coaxed. Jiyeon stiffened a little before taking a seat next to Cherry, fidgeting her fingers. She did look agitated.
Cherry was genuinely curious about this couple. Why was Jiyeon so scared in front of strangers? And Joowon did not seem to be hiding the fact that he was married because of fame. It seemed as if he had a bigger reason than that.
"Oppa, your watch is really nice," she complimented. "Can I take a closer look at it?"
"Oh sure!" Joowon said, holding out his hand. Cherry briefly touched his wrist, pretending to examine the watch but all she needed was an excuse to see his memories. Suddenly, flashes of his past were running through her head.
