Chapter 81 - A Mother's Will

Sojin was not paying much heed to her surroundings. She was vaguely aware of the father-daughter having their breakfast and chatting but her mind was not on them. The thought of the recent incidents happening to Jinhyun was disturbing her. He had lost a friend and was clearly devastated by it even if he had kept up a strong front throughout the service. His gaunt face was haunting her and his pain was breaking her resolve.

"Nanny!"

Sojin broke out of her reverie.

"Huh?" she asked in confusion.

"Nanny, are you alright?" Yoona asked. "You've been wiping the same vase for over an hour."

Sojin looked at her hands and realized that Yoona was right. She quickly put the vase down on the table and put up a smile.

"I was just wondering what arrangements to make for your mother's arrival," she lied. "I was thinking of preparing her favorite dishes on the day of her arrival."

"I'll help you!" Yoona chirped.
