Jinhyun entered the funeral hall a little before 9 am. It was the last day and they would have to carry Jenna's coffin towards the burial ground in a few hours. Sekjong and Jenna's manager, Seojin were discussing something when Jinhyun approached them. Upon seeing him Sekjong's face was filled with relief.
"Where were you?" he asked. "Everyone was so worried!"
"I...I had to leave for a while," Jinhyun admitted. "I needed to process my feelings."
Sekjong gave him a friendly pat. "Have you rested well?"
Jinhyun's mind flashed with the memories of the dream he had last night. He could still picture Seyoung's impassive expression when he was standing at the funeral. Yet, he also felt the immense conflict inside Seyoung's heart. The man was agonized over his father's death but also relieved that he would no longer live in fear of the old Emperor. The intensity of his feelings had hit Jinhyun too.
"I was alright," he lied. "I'll attend to the guests."
