CALIN
"What?..."
Over on the other side of the street I saw someone, I doubted my eyes for what seems like a decade. I reached out. "Brother...?"
The boy does looks over but doesn't recognize me. "Do you know the way to an inn?" He asked.
"Alter! It's me Calin!"I exclaimed.
"Calin? You're alive?..." Alter opened his eyes wide.
My eyes overflowed with tears. "You're really alive, you really are..." my voice was drowned by the tears that consumed me.
Alter stood there, then started crying. "Calin, I thought no one else was alive! I thought I was alone!"
My heart clenched. "I'm glad to see you alive, Alter." I told him.
"Here, let's get you to the castle, you haven't been there for a long time right?"
Alter nodded, while rubbing his eyes, his eyes were puffy.
We walked to the castle where servants were waiting near the castle gate. "Welcome back, Master Calin, is this a guest of yours?" The man who seemed to be the Head Butler asked.
"Yes he is, prepare a room, and deliver some food to it, treat him as you would treat me." I ordered.
"Understood, Master Calin, his Majesty requires your presence, would you mind if I lead the guest to his room?" He replied.
ALTER
"Of course." Then Calin turned to me. "Alter, I need to meet with king, please follow the Head Butler to your room, I'll see you in a bit."
"Alright, Calin."
I followed the Butler to my room, and waited for the food.
When the food arrived, I saw Lobster Bisque that was shining in a sauce that produced an aroma that was just Amazing, with Garlic bread that glistened gold. I wolfed it down, enjoying the taste of home.
I took my time staring out at the castle view outside my window, upon a cliff, and streching above the vast ocean, with birds flying across the sky, and feeling the wind blow across my face as I listened to song of the sea. I was happy.
