Chapter 5 - Chapter Five- Awesome hunk of a car

Hannah scoffed. "This tiny stick is a limited product from Deva. I used all of my savings just to buy this thing. The case costs more than the actual product, I could care less who your father is, he's just a stupid policeman!"

Harmony was taken back. Shouldn't she sensor her actions, that, after all, is her boyfriend's father. It was important to keep a good relationship with people that you might spend the rest of your life around. On another note, why hasn't she met his parents before, they've been together since Junior High. Harmony still stood by her side all the way back to Elementary, back when they had a real friendship. They had sleepovers, played in the park, and exchanged stories, they had each other back until they hit Junior High.

Hannah became distant and more interested in boys. As for Harmony, she watches herself slip away from Hannah so she dedicated her brain to books and testing. It became a habit now. Out of pity, Hannah asked her to be friends again. Of course, she accepted but it wasn't the same. High School came along and Hannah made it into the JUINS. The original leader graduated and left Hannah to lead the group for her sophomore year.

Harmony was then again left alone to fend for herself until she applied to be one of the JUINS. Her hair helped her win a spot, her parents being successful people as Real Estate Agents had also done the same thing. But to officially join, she had to win a spot on the cheerleading team where Hannah was only a team member. Harmony only got the part because Dean had convinced the captain about the maturity of her body and her looks which meant everything. The crowd and Football players want to have something good to look at.

Junior year had come and Hannah was made captain after another senior student graduated and Harmony was picked to be Hannah's right-hand man because she knew Harmony wouldn't try anything out of the ordinary. She would be too scared and shy. Back then, Harmony for the longest time had a crush on Hannah's brother. And then finally their senior year. The ultimate stress levels haven't met any past years she's had at school. Harmony is constantly on her feet.

That could be the reason for her migraines and sudden tiny outbursts. She knew at some point, she was going to fully bust. All she had to do was get through with the Pep Rally and she was fine. Saturday she would have to wake up early to finish the decoration for the Halloween Dance then all of the JUINS would head back to Hannah's mansion to change into their costumes. Harmony brought herself to the present.

"You think that is his only job? He's dangerous," Dean said.

"We aren't even really together," Hannah replied.

"I know we aren't and I could care less if you end up dead but I don't need you dead just yet! Wait to provoke my father until we graduate!"

Harmony's eyes widened. Their relationship was a sham? So she knew he was hooking up with most of the cheerleaders? Of course, Hannah is a heartless and power-hungry bitch. Although Harmony would never say it out loud. She'd rather commit suicide than tell it to her face.

Hannah huffs. "That's so rude."

Dean thought of stopping the car but they were close to the school. "Don't you dare, you would have done the same."

"No, my lipstick, you didn't even say you are sorry."

Dean falls in line with a bunch of cars to get into the school's parking way and when he's let through, a car zooms right past him and disappears behind the school right where the school's staff park. Dean curses then just after he steps on the gas, he immediately steps on the breaks while another nice car zooms right past him and into the student section. Dean pants out of anger as he pushes on the horn.

"Wow, I wonder who owns that awesome hunk of a car," Hannah grins. Harmony smiles and giggles at that comment. "See, even Harmony agrees and so do these lovely girls on the sidewalk."

Dean pushes on the gas and continues. "Shut up!"

Harmony looks out the window while the, as Hannah liked to put it, 'Awesome hunk of a car', comes into view. A tall guy steps out of the passenger's seat. A black armless jacket covers over his muscular body as the red long-sleeved shirt underneath complements all the creases of his masculinity. The latest look in the United Provinces of Četras. His hair is the color of obsidian.

'He's a person who follows through natural looks, Harmony thought, 'one of the Naturals. Ugh, his grey eyes are to die for. Weird, only a few are born with other than blue eyes. It's incredibly rare. I wonder where he comes from? Different colored eyes are a blessing on this planet.

Harmony was thrown out of her thoughts as the second guy steps out of the driver's seat. He's wearing a red turtleneck with black jeans. He seems to be one of the Naturals as well, his roots are black. The bottom half of his hair looks realistically silver, 'hair dye', she thought, but it's so realistic which is an insult on the higher rankers unless he is a high ranker. Harmony skips his hair and instead falls into his blue eyes.

As they pass through, they all seem to make eye contact at the same time. Harmony instantly looks away with a secret smile. She unconsciously slips a strand of hair behind her ear. Hannah despises all Naturals but for a moment, she got caught up and couldn't take her eyes off the men who were staring their way. Out of revenge, she thought she would make Dean sweat a little. "Oh man, with that kind of car, they could be taking your spot in the future Dean. Tsk tsk," Hannah laughs. "What a shame...for you."
