The needle on the clock reaches midnight and the sound of cheers and fireworks starts to make their entrance, everyone is wishing happy new year to each other. Mikayla and Kent Maroon family are celebrating the new year. The castle is very lively and full of laughter. The egg in the basket beside Mikayla is shaking a bit showing its happiness.
"Eh! Dr Dan, the egg is moving, is it going to hatch?" said Mikayla.
"Mmmm, let me check. Interesting! Nope, the egg is not going to hatch. Probably it able to feel festive around it and show some response." said Dr Dan.
"That's great. It sure gave me a scare. It suppose to be hatch next month right?" said Mikayla.
"Yes. Now, put your worry face away. Enjoy the new year," said Dr Dan.
In a room, there are many papers arranged neatly on a long table. At the end of the table, there is a man with lime green Wings sitting while reading the information written in the file.
"Mikayla Bell, he will be fourteen this year, don't forget to update the information," said Joshua.
"Yes, sir. Sir, Sir Jack ask you to attend the new year party at the Leon Hall tonight," said Fan.
"No, to hell all those parties," said Joshua. He then glances sideways to see his secretary, "or you can go to those party for me."
"Really! Thank you, sir," said Fan.
"Mmm, go now. If Jack as for me just tell that I'm busy," said Joshua.
Fan gather her belongings and go to the party. Seeing the carriage getting smaller from the office window, Joshua tap on the wall at the right side in his office three times and the wall slides open to a hidden room. Inside the room is empty except for teleportation formation on the floor. Joshua takes out five Grade A power stone and place it inside the formation. Next, he stands in the middle of the formation and activate the formation. He then teleports to a mountain.
On the mountain, there is nothing particular just a normal mountain filled with trees and small animals can be seen. Joshua walked for ten meters and appear in front of a big tree and take out a circular badge and put it on the tree branch. The badge is shining and a door open underneath the tree. Joshua takes the badge back and walk into the door. The door directly teleport him into a building.
"Sir Joshua, nice to meet you," said the doorkeeper.
"Hmm, nice to meet you. I want to visit Maria," said Joshua.
"Sir Joshua, I'm truly aware that you want to visit her but you should know the answer." said the doorkeeper.
"Just this time, it's the new year. She is lonely alone," said Joshua.
"No. Sir Joshua don't make this hard for me. Unless you have the permission from above then I'm sorry."
"Please," said Joshua.
"No." You can go anywhere inside here except seeing her," said the doorkeeper.
"Joshua leave the doorkeeper and go towards the garden. Inside the garden, he walk past the pond and sits on the swing under a tree.
"Joshua swing faster and higher. Hahahahha, weeee! It's so fun." said Maria.
"Okay, careful make sure to hold the rope properly," said Joshua.
"Hahahhaha! Okay."
Someone is approaching Joshua from behind and then he taps Joshua on the shoulder. Joshua is awake from his stupor and turn back to see the person.
"Professor Shane, it is nice to see you," said Joshua.
"Ah! Joshua, you come here to visits Maria aren't you?" said Professor Shane.
"Yes, but..." said Joshua.
"I'll take you to see her," said Professor Shane.
"Really! Thank you," said Joshua. He stands up and follows the professor. "But why did you give me permission to see her?"
"Just like you, I also believe that Maria did not die. She is just sleeping."
Joshua smile hearing the answer. Yes, Maria did not die yet. Maria can be awakened after he brings that boy Mikayla. He clenches his fist and determine to find Mikayla as soon as he can.
The new year passed smoothly without any major incident. Everyone is celebrating the new year in their own way.
Mikayla take a stroll in the castle, he wants to be alone but he did not leave the egg. He still carrying it using the basket. He found out from Kent that Teacher Rachel has made him as the guardian of her children. It quite nerve-racking to hold such a big responsibility but he will not disappoint Teacher Rachel. The little life in the egg will have a family when it hatch.
He scans the egg and still see two aura that is black and white. It is going to be fun next month. Kent and Dr Dan will have their jaws drop. So far, things are fine but he can't help to think about the future. What will happen to him? Where will Kent send him? Can he still live like before? Well, he is a fugitive now.
"Whatever happens we will stick together okay little ones," said Mikayla as he takes the egg and hug it. Sensing Mikayla, the egg shake a bit expressing their thought.
