'Satisfying, but confusing. This feels too much like a cultivation system. Whatever the case, I welcome power.'

Simon stretched his body as he began to get used to his newfound strength and capabilities. This was the first time he had felt so powerful since he was in Haven. The feeling was something he didn't want to get used to, because Simon wanted to be stronger. Limits were made to be broken, and Simon will ascend past all of them, even if it meant he had to push and shove to get to his goals.

"Honoured Master...congratulations on your successful breakthrough to the 5th rank! We revere your power and techniques! We will forever follow you!" Lenn shouted in complete reverence as he bowed down with his guard unit.

"Ahh...such power is not my limit. I will only grow stronger." Simon assured his subordinates. Standing even without a unique aura, Simon already possessed enough power to kill his old self back when he was at the same rank. He had already hones his killing instincts and understood combat much better now. The fact that he killed Ripper is enough to prove this.

"There is no longer anything left here. We will leave now, please follow behind me in an arrow formation; our destination will be my dear wife's palace. I will depart back to my home from there." Simon announced as he exited the room swiftly. Without a word, the guards all followed suit and followed him in a perfect arrow formation, exiting the mansion in such a formation and entering the forest in such a formation.

Upon entering the forest, there did not seem to be any activity of note. The group had no trouble navigating the trees, and the darkness did not seem to increase the difficulty of the trek. Using their enhanced visions, the guards and Simon easily dodged all of the hazards in the forest. Simon decided to take a less scenic route this time, completely avoiding the riverbank and continuing forward without looking back.

Soon before they knew it, they had all arrived at the destination.

"Honoured Master, shall we bring you to the Mistress to report our findings before you leave?" Lenn asked as he took a brief moment to breath slowly.

Now at the front steps of the palace, Simon had a plain expression. Remembering that he should probably report such an incident to a higher power, he nodded his head and continued on with the guards.

"We shall report today's findings to my dear wife."

"As you wish my Honoured master!"

Entering the main lobby, Simon and his group were greeted by another group of guards that guided them to the throne room. Feeling uneasy about the events of the night, Simon held a frown from beneath his mask, but wore a bodily language of being strong and energetic. In contrast, his guards were clearly disgusted of today's events, but held true expressions of pride for their actions alongside Simon. The other guards seemed rather on guard this time along, they could all sense a crushing natural aura of chaotic energy. Simon quickly took notice of this and surprised it, returning the scene to a more calmer mood.

Now at the throne room, Simon saw Malece sitting down on her majestic throne, dressed in an equally majestic dress. Made of the finest silks and and fabrics, the dress of black was patterned with roses and thorns, and adorned with golden jewellery. Accompanied by a golden tiara, the dress was complete.

"Little darling, why did you leave so soon? Was I that unbearable that you just had to run?" Malece chuckled as she spoke down to Simon. Hearing this, Simon felt a hint of anger as he remembered the corpse of his brother and his forced subjugation by the woman before him.

"My dear wife, I received word that my twin brother had encounter difficulties because of an assault on Hadrius Reaper's territory. I went to extract my dear twin brother...but he turned up dead, along with 95% of the residents of the Reaper mansion." Simon calmly recalled the events, explaining the scene of the dead bodies and the disappearance of said bodies. This of course intrigued Malece, because she had thought that such a thing would be impossible under her reign. obviously, Simon left out his involvement in Ripper's death, just skimming over it was enough for him.

"Little darling...I understand your sorrow in finding your brother dead in such a manner...please remember that your family is there for you, do not let one terrible event ruin your prospects. And of course, as my dear consort, I will be there to comfort you." Malece comforted him as she walked down from her throne and stroked his shoulder.

Gasp

Simon immediately took a step back as he felt a shiver down his spine.

"Please do not touch me." Simon respectfully insisted as he recalled the memories from Malece's chambers.

'He seems strong on the outside, but this is a mere facade. I see a child that is turning into a man, but not completely one. He gets worked up because of one dead sibling, when I lost everything in one dreadful night. Some things are not simple, so we can only walk above and not look below. To preserve what we have is better than worrying over the past. Although, he has accepted reality, I will give him that.'

'Still, he looks at me in fear.'

"Rest assured, this matter will be dealt with accordingly. Go home and mourn with your family, but do not dwell on it for to long, Little darling. Besides, you will be attending the academy soon, I advise you to get ready and look towards the future." Malece instructed.

"After you go home to mourn, you will return to the palace and secretly assume the duties of Blood Consort. I will personally inform your guardians that you will be learning under me as a student, so do not worry. But after 2 years, the truth will come out."
