'It is not my fault that I have never done a teaching degree, or had any experience with people that are less than my age. Staying cooped up in hospital kinda makes it hard to socialise. It also makes it stupidly hard to make friendships, cuz no one goes to a hospital to make friends. You can go to the park, the arcade, school, online; but not the f***ing hospital.
'Just why? Every person you meet could be a potential cancer patient that you won't ever see after a month, it's kinda dark. So when I had no one to talk to but the nurse, all I could do was to write every single sh***y day. It felt like euphoria, writing felt like bliss, i was popular! My harem novel with an OP protagonist with a edgy personality was beloved by all readers!'
'To bad most of these readers were probably edgy teenagers with overflowing hormones. But meh, I am here today, greeting a set of genius level students. I am a professor, a 'genius', and secretly a student.'
'I mean, all of this is fine. I can live with preparing lectures, I've gotten used to it already; but managing my personal development and the plot is like juggling poisoned caltrops! Everything I do makes the next task even more like hell. I can't even help James out anymore... I don't have the f***ing time! Ugghhhh... all I can do for him now, is to help him obtain what I 'stole'. Maybe the plot will even itself out and James will be an upstanding prot-'
"How did this guy even manage to get into the lecture? He is barely on genius level, and doesn't even have a background." Sienna groaned.
"He must have cheated the system."
'I don't remember the female lead being so... repulsive.'
"Eh? I don't like annoying students, you can leave if you don't like him." Simon passively spoke as he shooed Sienna.
"I am sorry for my unsightly behaviour, please forgive me, Professor!" She quickly apologised.
"Apologise to James, you must have hurt his feelings." Mark suggested.
"Right, apologise for James."
"I am sorry for my unkind remarks, please forgive me." Sienna quickly spoke.
"Ah, no problems here." James responded in a flustered expression.
'Hmmm... it seems my power is just that much. A word can bend their resolves eh? I can't wait to see how they do when I create my special exams...' Simon thought back to the vast recesses of knowledge that he now had, inwardly laughing at the evil he could do.
'Let's not make it to hard for my class- Nah! If I want a good class, they have to be excellent in everything, including my exams.'
Cough cough
"So introductions are now over, I might as well catch you all up on the curriculum that you have missed. You see, my class is nothing like what you all may be used to. Mine is a class that will perpetually call upon your knowledge and learning capacity to absorb and apply numerous advanced concepts that are not usually taught elsewhere. My class is for hardworking students, anyone that doesn't work, will be left behind. And so far, no one has been left behind, a true testament to the work ethic of my lecture class." Simon coldly announced.
"You will all be expected to learn a weapon art from my personal collection, and achieve major insight on yours by the end of the semester. As it will be for the rest of the cohort. I also expect you all to spend time socialising and building powerful bonds with your classmates, I will not tolerate people moving around all alone in class. It is bad for my image and it is bad for the class as a whole, bonds will increase participation and cooperation."
"Lastly, i have planned a seperate exams for all of my students. You will not have those comfortable exams that some of you are used to. You will have MY examinations."
"That's all for now. If you have any questions, feel free to ask before I start the catchup lesson."
"Yes. I would like to ask what sort of legacy core would work well for me when I achieve expert rank?" Mark asked.
"Hmmm... I can tell from your personality and you ability that you should concentrate your insights on collecting explosive amounts of VP when condensing your legacy core. In this way, you can form a core that will reflect what you need; explosive power." Simon suggested.
"Thank you Professor! I will take your words to heart and do exactly as you say!" Mark spoke as he clasped his hands.
'What is this, a Wuxia?'
"Anyone else have any important questions?"
"Yes... I feel as though I may awaken an ability soon. Do you know how I can achieve this quicker?" Tyrone asked.
Simon strokes his clean shaven chin and looked into the distance in contemplation. He then tapped his head three times as he grabbed a small book from his pocket.
"I have noted down that abilities are much more mysterious than anything else in this world. Some people can naturally awaken one through their bloodline, while others can simply awaken one by chance. But when awakening one, there is a clear an methodical way to doing so. I personally recommend a good night's sleep and meditation. Many people train extra hard to awaken their abilities, but they often forget that sometimes all you need is some peace, and naturally your body will relax and accept the ability."
FLOP
"THANK YOU MASTER!" Tyrone said as he bowed down on the ground.
"I AM NOT WORTHY OF THIS GREAT KNOWLEDGE! HOW STUPID AM I TO HAVE NEVER THOUGHT OF THIS! I AM NOT WORTHY!" Tyrone repeatedly shouted.
"Relax, train hard and read my textbook. I expect great things from you." Simon comforted him.
"Yes master, I will never disappoint you!"
"Now that is how a model student should act! We should follow Tyrone's example and never disappoint the professor!" Mark yelled.
'Wow, Mark is WAY different than I remember.'
