"She has not awaken yet. She saw you and him. Are you sure you don't want-"
"Leave her alone. She is my mother."
The lady of house Gungnir is unconscious. Thirty six people was injured. Countless other property damage was racked up. The strange phenomenon in the sky has drawn countless eyes toward the house of Gungnir.
Their house was almost the epic center. It is said that in the sky, people can see two people in a battle, but that cannot be-
How can human caused such a calamity.
However, no matter how absurd the rumors was, in the midst of all the event was Varsas Gungnir.
"Did he witness it?"
"Just what exactly happened?"
And so it goes. But perhaps the most interesting was a response letter sent within the day from the neighboring land of Venir. Vandal Venir wrote
'I'm aware of your situation. I am still investigating the matter of the spirit in my own clan, I trust that with one of the mystical people with you, they can handle it.'
Varsas looks back to Lufa sitting on his mother's bed. So it seems the person from the other clan thought last night was Lufa doing. Varsas shoos the girl off the bed, the only thing she is good at is sabotaging expensive irreplaceable equipment.
The girl in the maid outfit before him is from a people that has become legend thousand of years ago. They see through time, and they themselves drift outside of time. No wonder there is a lot of speculation about those people, with the patriarch of house Venir specifically placing them on a high pedestal.
Varsas doesn't care about what the patriarch of house Venir thinks because he hates him, and prefer that they don't keep contact at all.
After all, in a certain future, while Varsas wasn't home, the two house ended up in conflict and the end result was the total destruction of the Gungnir.
It causes one of his friend from that house to cut her head off as apology.
He didn't want her to kill herself, he didn't want his house to be destroyed, and his family members butchered either. He just wants thing to continue on peacefully... just like now.
And worst of all is that his father, Marik Gungnir is crying himself to sleep right outside on the chair. He wants to keep watch but because of the guilt he felt for neglecting his wife the last few days, he doesn't want his wife to see his face when she wake up. This arrangement was the best Varsas could mutter on short notice. Even though Varsas tried to convince him that all of that is just a load of horseshit, the old man is just too stubborn.
Because of that Varsas took care of all the work as head of house for now.
...Again all of the problems are because of him again.
Even though he tried to stay out of it, it all come back to him.
Even his mother...
-And that other guy.
Vaine Mahaima, his best friend.
Last night, Varsas dealt a mortal wound to him. The two parted because there was nothing more to say. And then Varsas left Vaine to whatever fate that may befall him.
He wonders if Vaine walked away alive...
Troubles just keep begetting troubles
...
Lately I have been feeling a pain in my chest.
...I wonder what happened.
But it is not like it can be helped. I know exactly what is wrong with me.
I'm-
...
Varsas Gungnir opened his eyes.
"Lufa, my heart hurts. Please contact my step mother. I will give it my all to defeat everything that pose a threat to me and my family. But this is far enough."
It was almost inexplicable. For a long time, something unexpected happened to a man who thought he has experienced everything.
"I feel scared. Something is happening to my heart."
At such a crucial time, something completely unexpected grips the heart of Varsas Gungnir.
