Faustina murmured silently as her conscious slowly rose to life. The first thing she felt is the mattress on her back; it was so soft, almost like it was embracing her. Birds chirping happily through the branches of the trees across the window also were a sound of music to her ears—faint at first, and then slowly, like in a sing-song motion, they were now singing and getting a bit louder, even though the sound was a bit muffled.

The curtains have been shifted to the side, revealing the sun's rays caressing the soft of her cheek, its warmth sending her the signal that it is morning. And then she slowly opened her eyes.

"Young lady Faustina, good morning." Says a familiar voice.

"Maddie..." Faustina murmurs, her eyes half-closing. "No...Noah..."
