Looking at the current Natsu, Amanda couldn't even relate him to the kind boy she saw a few seconds back, much less the ruthless one who literally commenced a slaughter.
As Amanda kept on stuttering to try and speak, Natsu felt his whole world spinning around.
Natsu had always been a selfish one. In fact, he didn't even feel anything special when he killed the boy he took the Legendary Class, Elemental Shooter from.
Or, when he killed those men a while back, when he could have just let them leave.
But, what just happened with Amanda, shook Natsu to the core.
Sure he always wanted to be a ladies man.
The kind that would be able to have sex with every woman he wants to. The kind whom women would fight over. The kind whom women could never forget about after sleeping with one time.
But, there wasn't a single time when he imagines he'd force a woman to have sex with him. Or take advantage of her emotions and sleep with her.
Much less what he was doing right now.
Which according to his thoughts, was dangerously close to being considered as rape.
After all, if this really was consensual sex for Amanda, why would she be scared at all times. And run away as if he had stabbed a knife through her back.
Did becoming a Dungeon Master change him so much?
After killing a few humans, did he no longer value a woman like he did before all of this started?
As Natsu's thoughts began entering this area, a very dangerous thoughts began creeping upon his mind.
And that was - Should I?
Should I value them anymore?
I'm so strong already... Why should I value them?
How could they know any better? Only someone like me should get to decide.
I should just...
In fact, Natsu's emotions were fluctuating so much, that his appearance was changing by the second.
It was depressing and sad one moment, angry and cruel the next.
It wasn't as if Natsu was just playing around, or was under the influence of someone else.
He was just a teenager.
No matter how much he forced himself to believe that he wasn't affected by how the world changed, and how he killed living humans, humans who have their own families, Natsu was influenced by everything that happened.
And finally, with what just happened, Natsu could no longer maintain that calm, cool, and collected smile on his face, as all of his emotions began rushing to be the first one to reach the surface and conquer him.
Seeing what happened next one couldn't tell what made Amanda do what she chose to.
Whether it was due to feeling guilty for doubting Natsu, or due to feeling scared that Natsu might flip out, Amanda crawled near Natsu and began apologizing while kissing him.
"I'm sorry. I'm so sorry for doubting you. I'm really sorry Natsu."
It was only after a while that Amanda noticed that Natsu was looking more and more angry by the second, and his fists were clenched in frustration.
'Shit! She really is afraid of me.'
'Why?'
'I didn't hurt her! I didn't force her! I didn't threaten her!'
'Then why!? Why!!?? WHY!!!???'
Seeing that Natsu wasn't even responding no matter how much she called him, Amanda gulped down her fear and shook him a little, "Natsu?"
"WHY ARE YOU AFRAID OF ME?!"
Stunned from Natsu's sudden outburst where he pushed her down on the floor, and pinned her by the arms, Amanda was about to scream out of fear when she stopped herself in the last second.
This was because with Natsu's face so close to her own, Amanda finally noticed the tears of helplessness forming around the corners of his eyes, and the hungry beast like savage grin on his lips.
And at the same time, Amanda felt for some reason that if she said yes, the situation would turn a lot worse for her.
"I'm... I'm not."
Desperately forcing herself to speak, even though it was just one word at a time, Amanda didn't look away and kept on staring towards Natsu's face which was scrunched up with anger.
"You... You are not a monster... I believe in you.. "
Amanda didn't know why she said those words, but in the next moment, Natsu suddenly stopped shaking and said with the smile she saw previously, "I never said anything about being a monster."
'He's back... I saved him!'
While Ananda was having such thoughts, Natsu was thinking about what happened in the middle of his mental breakdown.
When he was previously feeling conflicted and all of his emotions were in a disarray, Natsu suddenly heard a voice.
The voice belonged to a female. More specifically, it belonged to a young girl.
The voice sounded serene and teasing, but was full of reluctance like those who woke up from sleep did.
"Geez... Making me work even before I'm ready to come out."
Hearing that voice, Natsu felt a burning warmth spread outwards from his inside which cleared all of his emotions away, and allowed him to calm down and realize.
"Next time, don't make wake me up for such a simple thing. Just talk and share your emotions. Preferably with a woman. We are the best listeners after all."
"Yawwwnnn... I'm going back to my slumber mow. See you when I decide to wake up."
After that, the girls voice no longer sounded and completely disappeared as if it had never existed in the first place.
But to Natsu who could still feel a burning warmth around his heart, he could tell for sure that he hadn't imagined any of it.
