"You look nothing like your pictures." I say bluntly.
Mostly cause it's true, for example, on his poster he's like 6'3, in real life he's 5'8, in his pictures he's extremely good looking and seems charming, in real life he's a six at best and seems like an asshole.
Ollie starts laughing hysterically.
"They say the same thing every fucking time." He wheezes.
"What clan do you belong to child?" He ignores Ollie as he pushes past him.
"Don't have one." I answer.
"Do not lie to me." He warned as he lets loose a wave of killing intent.
"Calm down Clyde," Ollie said threateningly while cracking his knuckles.
Clyde took a deep breath and relaxed. With the murderous aura gone he began to inspect my body, without touching thankfully, looking for any tattoos, badges, or any other clan marking. After finding nothing he was visibly pissed.
"Tell me both of your parent's names." he demanded.
"NOW!"
"Well my father's name is 'Go'." I tell him.
"Go what?" he asks impatiently while pulling out his phone.
"Go fuck yourself." I say.
This, by the way, makes Ollie laugh till tears start streaming down his face.
"You walked right into that one you fucking idiot." He wheezes.
"Oh shit, I think I'm gonna piss myself."
Clyde tore a bead off of his necklace and tossed it at Ollie's feet, a bright light flashed and Ollie was suddenly trapped in what appeared to be a transparent bubble in the middle of laughing his ass off.
"That should be able to hold him for at least thirty minutes." He says.
"That's more than enough time to get the answers I want."
"Why the fuck are you telling me this?" I ask.
"Nobody else is here, so just shut the hell up and attack me."
"Fucking brat."
He sneers as a wall of flames appear behind him, the flames separate and condense into fifty fiery spears and Clyde started levitating. He took a seated position as if he was a king looking at a peasant.
"Let's see you deal with this." He said confidently.
He shoots a fire spear aimed directly at my head.
I catch the spear with my right hand and disperse the flames.
"The speed's impressive, but it lacks power," I comment.
Clyde's eye twitches and all of the fire arrows come at me, at twice the speed of the first one, my arms blur and each of my punches create a shockwave that each destroys a fire spear.
"Didn't you hear what I said?"
I called out.
"Too much speed, not enough power."
"I suppose I underestimated you kid." He said coldly.
"But now-"
"Why the fuck are you monologuing?" I yell.
"If you're gonna use more power just do it then, fuck you announcing it for?"
He grits his teeth and a flaming dragon appeared behind him it circled him and landed on his shoulder where it materialized into an actual red dragon, though it was small enough to sit on his shoulder. The dragon lifted its wings and hundreds of flaming orbs appeared behind Clyde, the orbs then descended to the ground, at first nothing happened, but then the ground started to shake and break apart and I was suddenly surrounded by hundreds of dragon golems made of fire and molten rock.
"Believe it or not, I'm not even trying to kill you-" He started to say.
"Dude, I don't fucking care just attack me." I interrupt.
He closes his eyes and takes a shaky deep breath and I smile, I could feel his anger building up, and it took every ounce of my willpower to not burst out laughing. He waved his hand and all the dragon golems charged.
I summon a void blade and as I'm cutting them down I notice Clyde building up energy, which would mean that the golems were just a distraction and that he was buying time for his real attack. I teleport behind him a slash down but a blue shield materializes and blocks the attack. Clyde just smiles and spreads his arms as a tsunami made of flames forms, it all condenses into a small sphere in front of me and explodes, instantly shattering my spatial armor, I hit the ground hard and leave a small crater in the dirt, glad I've got a strong body, I get up and realize that I'm in the center of a sea of flames.
"It seems like I'm still underestimating you,"
Clyde commented as he floated above me. He lands twenty feet away.
"I plan to stop."
He raises his hands and all of the flames combine into a rapidly spinning tornado, with me at the center. He adds more flames to the tornado of terror which grows larger as the heat increases.
"So do I wait for him to run out of mana? Or should I just shit-stomp him now?" I ask myself.
I'm kind of unsure where to proceed from here, if I beat him outright then I'll have eyes on me and people following me trying to coax me to join their side in some bullshit political war. but if I don't, this guy is gonna piss me off. Honestly, I wouldn't be having this problem if this guy wasn't so damn weak, didn't Ollie say that he's one of the pillar candidates? If he is, I hope that the pillars are at least a bit stronger, cause Clyde would be instantly killed if he tried to fight Michael or any of the sins for that matter.
"Oh well, " I sigh.
"Fuck it, I already have people watching me might as well show them I'm a threat."
I let my clothes burn a little as I get down on one knee while creating a black hole that absorbs Clyde's flames in an instant. He froze in place as if he'd seen the ghost of god himself.
"T-that's impossible, " his voice shook slightly.
"What is that ability?" he pointed at the black hole that had grown larger after absorbing his power.
"This is something that I created not too long ago." I tell him as I take in the energy produced by the black hole to make it disappear. I get up and hold my arm like I'm injured.
"It's still not ready for an actual battle, so I thought why not practice it?"
"Practice?" Clyde repeated nearly popping a blood vessel.
His anger was strong enough that I could feel it earlier, but now it was visible.
"If you're planning on attacking I would advise against it," I warned.
"Advise against it?" Clyde asked. His body once again spewing killing intent. The air around him started to glow as wave after wave of heat was emitted from his body.
"I AM A CANDIDATE TO BE A PILLAR THAT STANDS AT THE TOP OF THE HUMAN RACE AS ONE OF THE STRONGEST!!"
He finally snapped.
"WHO THE FUCK DO YOU THINK YOU ARE?!"
"Getting a weird sense of deja vu here," I say as he launches a gigantic fireball at me.
I put away the void blade and teleport behind him again and the blue shield materializes once more, but this time I teleport once more getting between Clyde and his shield. I land a solid punch on him before we both hit the ground. I still pretend that I'm injured and can't get up, I put up this charade not only to fool Clyde into thinking it was a draw but also Sam, who's been hiding in the trees watching the battle the whole time. I bite my tongue, hard enough to draw blood, and act like I'm coughing it up. I extend my A.O.P. and I watch as Sam heads back to the school. I pull out my phone and call him.
"Hey, Malcom." He answers breathlessly.
"Why are you out of breath?" I ask him, knowing that he's about to lie.
"Just got out of gym class man." He laughed.
"Are you still gonna give me some pointers?" He asks, quickly changing the subject.
"Something came up just now but meet me in the gym tomorrow morning before classes start," I tell him.
I fake cough into the phone a couple of times.
"Whoa, dude are you okay?" Sam asks.
"Yea I'm fine a problem occurred during training. I just need to rest and I'll be good." I tell him.
"Alright then, I guess I'll see you tomorrow morning."
"See ya then." I hang up.
"What was that about?" Lucille asks.
"Before I answer that, how good are your acting skills," I ask.
"Terrible." She answers.
"I'll tell you when the time is right then."
"You fucking better."
