"Were lost, aren't we?" Kishi asked coldly in realization.
"Yin, it was your fault! It's because you led us through that passage, and now we don't know where we are!" Rex exclaimed, pointing a finger at Yin while stomping the ground.
"Well, you're the ones who followed us, right Yang? Despite knowing that we all know nothing about the secret passages here anymore." Yin shrugged, casually denying it.
"Heh! Be sure to watch you're back 'cuz I'll make sure you're gonna pay."
"Wow...I'm so scared, please have mercy. Ha! I like to see you try.
"Alright! That's enough!!" Getting annoyed, Airi stopped them as Rex was about to open his mouth to speak. "Just help us find a map so we can find out where we are."
Although they're unwilling, they still helped find the map that will help them figure out their way.
"It's over here." Lune called out and showed them a painting framed with gold that hung on the wall.
The school's lay out was so irregular it's confusing. The school was mostly gardens and forests except for the main square and the usual fountain that doesn't change.
The elder's estate also didn't change, but the school's structures and even the students' castle like dorm changed it's place.
Currently, they found out that they were at a hall towards the dragon's den where the student's dragons are kept. It was also at the furthest east of the whole school, almost towards the entrance to the middle school division.
"You're supposed to be second years, not to mention and great Elite-class students, yet you got yourselves lost? How Hilarious!"
A voice said surprising them all.
The boys turned their heads on instinct towards the voice's direction. What they saw was a boy floating in the air with his legs crossed, looking at them with a playful yet mocking manner.
His hair was white like cream and his eyes were very unusual. They were like the sky in a sunny day, beautifully blue and half of it were bright yellow. His skin was pale but it was sleek. He appeared lovely and extremely beautiful, perhaps as beautiful as the pair of the purest of white.
"Nice to meet you...little lost puppies..."
"Who are you calling lost puppies?! Wait, more importantly, who are you?!"
The boy didn't answer neither Rex's question, but instead, he just smiled. "You guys are silly to get lost here at your own school."
"We can't help it, the school's structure changes every year, right Yang?" Yin shrugged.
"Don't drag me with you." Yang spat.
"Who are you?" Curious about this weird looking boy in front of them, Lune unexpectedly closed his book and asked.
"I'm just a person who can't wait to meet a certain someone." He said in response as he looked fixedly at Kishi. "Am I interrupting something? Or do you need ME to help you?"
"Err...no thanks, were fine on our own." Airi declined politely.
"Oh." the boy tilted his head. "Is that so?" they nodded. "What a pity, I wanted to talk to you guys more. But oh well, I suppose I'll take my leave."
He then suddenly disappeared to dust, leaving the boys in daze.
"What a weird guy..." Rex was the first one to sigh.
"We better go. Were late enough already." Airi said to fix the mood.
On the other hand, Kishi can't help but stare at the place where the mysterious boy disappeared earlier. That boy was staring at him, he had this weird feeling about it.
"Kish, what are you holding up for?" Said Airi, bringing him back to reality.
"I'm coming, I'm coming! How many time's do I have to tell you not to give me weird nicknames!"
"Come on, nothing's weird about it."
The boys quickly went to their classroom. Alas, they still arrived late and the bell had rung already way back before they arrived.
Airi pushed the door open and they entered the room. Their classroom, looked the same as it was two months ago.
It was a spacious and elegantly designed classroom. The marble floors are mostly covered in red carpets laced with gold. The teacher's desk was on a higher flatform, and the seats were elevated that the back most seats were higher than those in front of it.
There are twelve long wooden tables that are fixed, three in each column that makes a slight arc. The back of the room was filled with large bookshelves, while at the right from the teacher's view were tall windows, and the door was at the left on the lowest part of the room.
In each table, there are four seats, but the place is obviously spacious that there are tables where no one would sit in. The children divided themselves into group and would stick together even at class.
Amili still wasn't there and the other children were chatting at each other.
Kishi, Airi, and Lune sat on the table at front, while the other three decided to set up pranks again like they always do.
Just by looking around, it was quite noticeable that something was definitely wrong.
E-class were separated by groups, usually by age, family, or by their position in school. Those groups usually started even since they were young even before they started school, but for those they only met when they started at magic high joined the groups that match them more.
To those that stick together, they would always stick together no matter what. But Kishi and Kira once again sat in seats that are far from each other unlike last year when the two of them would even move the chairs so that their hands would be able to reach each other.
It was definitely wrong.
The two of them are very special. Everyone believed that either of them won't be able to survive on their own and the two of them will always be together.
That is the reason why everyone does not dare get too close to them. They always make sure to keep a safe distance, a boundary which they would never cross so that they may not pull the twins apart.
Airi followed the same rules as well. Although he proclaimed himself as their elder brother and act as the three of them were family, he dares not stand or sit between the two of them. He was afraid that if he did, the two of them would not get as close as they were before.
A loud BANG was heard followed by a big SPLOSH.
The whole classroom fell silent and everyone's attention fell on the entrance. Apparently, the trio's prank went off as soon the door opened. And the one who was unlucky enough to fall for their nasty prank, was none other than Akamura.
"Ha! That's your punishment for being late!" The three laughed, while the other's felt disgusted.
A big blob of shiny pink slime fell over Akamura's head and he was now covered entirely of that stinky disgusting stuff. He glared angrily at the three but did not utter a word. Even so, he was clearly pissed.
Akamura's relationship with the class was still very bad. Everyone still thinks badly of him and no one like to speak with him. Akamura on the other hand, did not care and acted arrogant still. The only thing that changed about him was the fact that he dares not offend those above him, but vents his anger later on the weaker ones.
Akamura silently, pulled out a handkerchief and wiped himself. He was already late and he just decided to change later.
He walked forward ignoring the three idiots who are staring at him mockingly towards his seat at the very back, away from everyone else.
To everyone's surprise, the boy with the white hair and strange looking eyes suddenly appeared out of nowhere. He hovered in the air for a second then slowly landed on the solid floor.
He looked forward and smiled, taking a step forward but he unexpectedly tripped and fell. He was surprisingly clumsy, making it quite obvious that he rarely uses his feet to walk.
"Ouch!"
The poor boy bumped into Akamura, who finally lost his cool.
"Watch your step you damn pip squeak!!" Akamura bellowed. "What? Do you think you could just run around and do whatever you want like you own the damn place!! How dare you, you're just an ant!!"
Away from everyone's expectations, a mischievous smile appeared in the boys pale little face.
"Just an ant you say?" He spoke with his playful voice. "Kneel."
