The two of them brought Airi back to the lobby where their guest is currently waiting. Airi just followed the two of them quietly, not uttering a single word. Kira was the most enthusiastic among the three of them, not letting his nor Kishi's hand go.
As soon as they arrived, the head butler bowed to them, along with several other servants that is forming two lines connecting at one point, or perhaps more like a V shape formation.
"My young lord!"
A voice said coming from behind the servants. An old man wearing robes erupted from behind and suddenly shook Airi's hand, taking him by surprise.
"My, young lad, you're as beautiful as I last saw you." The old man said. "And have you gone taller? It seems you had grown up a lot. Though I 'am very remorseful at your loss."
As soon as he said that, Airi lowered his head. "Thank you for your concern, but I 'am alright." He told him.
"Is that so? Very well then. But if you need any help, you'll be most welcome to ask for me."
Airi nodded at him, and the old guy smiled. From the corner of his eyes, he spotted the twins who were stealthily escaping. They suddenly felt chills when he spotted them; cold sweat running through them.
"They are?" the old man asked
"Err...my cousins..." Airi answered, but he was doubtful whether he was right to do that.
Partially ignoring him, the old man held the twins' hands that are holding each other, so swiftly that they were taken by surprise and was unable to retaliate.
The guy looked at them with extreme joy that tears even welled from his eyes. "My, my, this...this is a miracle! The two of you must be the heirs of the Darkrose, the children of late lady Amira and Lord Jen. Oh...what a miracle!"
Bewildered, the three children exchanged glances. They were sure that no one else except for the members of the guild knew that the two of them were also children of the Roses. Yet this old guy recognized them at one glance, and he wasn't even a part of their guild.
"Um...may we know why you know who we are?" Kishi asked politely.
Realizing that he was overstepping his bounds, the guy quickly withdrew and begun to explain himself.
"My sincere apologies. You see, I have been drawing the portraits of the Rose clan for quite a long time now. I 'am the one who painted the previous lords and ladies, or much specifically, your parents."
"I remember every each one that I had drawn from the very detail. As such, I can easily recognize the two of you. Not to mention, you two looked very much like your parents it is impossible not to notice for people who had seen them up close."
The twins looked at each other again; the old man beamed at them. "It was indeed a miracle. Who would have thought that you would be alive...and you look just as I imagined..."
Many have looked up at that couple. They were just so kind and was both extremely beautiful. They may not have ruled that long, but the land they ruled over together was a great and beautiful place. Because of it, they were well respected, and many young children aimed to be just like them.
Everyone was very delighted to hear that they will soon have a child. Only the guild knows the truth about the twins just like it is now, so there isn't really much discrimination. In fact, people filled them with praises. They wonder what they would look like. But the people expected the child to look very beautiful, just like their parents. They also thought that the child that will soon be born will be very talented and intelligent. It was also expected that their child will be as kind as their parents were. To the others eyes, their child will be a perfect one. Not a child divided into two, and was cursed with multiple of the major curses existing in Harmonia.
However, a tragedy happened and they both died. The Cursed dragon's guild hid the fact that the children were born and survived from the people. As a result, people thought that they also died along with Amira and Jen. The city back then fallen to despair. But the next lord after the two of them brought the city back up, piece by piece for many years until now.
As one of the people that have awaited long for their birth, the old man was truly mesmerized, that he can't help but stare at them in awe.
"Ahem."
The head butler coughed to get everyone's attention back to him.
"Oh, right! I have almost forgotten what I came here for." The old guy said. "The three of you should get ready. I shall wait patiently at the gallery."
"Wait, Three!?" Kishi questioned.
"Yes, the three of you. Now, go." The old man walked away while telling them that, not even looking back at them.
"That...That geezer!"
"Looks like it's your turn to be shy now." Airi sneered at him. "Should I call Sychi? Hmm..."
"No! Please don't!" Kishi pleaded.
Teasing him further, Airi's smile grew wider. "Maybe I should really call her..."
"No need. I 'am already here." Sychi appeared out of nowhere, shocking the three of them.
"Airi, you're also going to regret this." Kishi whispered to him angrily.
Feeling wronged, Airi depended himself. "But that was only supposedly a joke!"
"What are you brats waiting there for?! Now get moving!" Sychi demanded.
"Yes ma'am!" The three of them shouted together before running away.
...
"Dammit...how the hell did we get dragged into this?" Kishi sulked as he waited for Kira to get finish.
He was dressed as elegantly as usual. The velvet robe draped on his shoulders was heavy with miscellaneous jewels. Like his usual style, a bundle of his snow-white hair was braided, and a gold-crystal earing on his right ear.
"What can I say, the Art city is very awesome." Airi said to him as he looked at himself at the mirror, fixing the heavy velvet robe around his shoulders like Kishi. He was dressed as elegantly. Clothing lined with gold and a golden crown was placed on his head.
"You remember that painting?" he asked Kishi.
"You mean the one in the guild hall. The painting that Uncle Meijin showed us."
"Exactly! That old man was the one who painted it." Airi told him.
"And how would you know that?"
"Because I saw him did it!" Airi proudly stated. "From what I remember, they just showed him a rough memory, and he just did it all by himself."
Kishi raised a brow at him. He wasn't really convinced by him, but he just smiled. He was just glad that Airi is back to himself now. Nothing else is more important.
"But seriously...the Art city is very awesome..." Airi sighed in admiration. "Among all the other territories, they're the only ones that did not uphold monarchy and declared themselves as a republic. They also have several connections with the three empires, and was probably the most harmonious one of all."
Indeed, the city of art does not follow any monarchy nor any ruling family of high rank. In their city, all people are equal and there is no ranking system. Because of it, the other countries refer to them as the unique city, the city that is not bound by the Clover rules.
The city was located at the intersection of the borders of the Life, Enchanted and Elemental empire and was also considerably near the Jade empire.
Kira finally came out of the dressing room with Sychi. The color of her dress was white and line with gold just like Kishi.
Sychi flew towards Kishi and placed a heavy golden crown over his head before flying back toward Kira and started brushing her long silky hair.
The three of them together was simply exquisite. They might still be getting ready, but they already look like a beautiful painting, so elegant and pretty. Like two young princes, and one little princess.
