They were scolded really bad by Sychi. Not only did they without her permission, exposed their true identities as Sacred royals, they also disobeyed a ton of her orders.
"You stubborn brats, how many times will I have to tell you there are things you shouldn't do just because you want to!"
"But Sychi--"
"No buts!"
Sychi was totally infuriated. The children just couldn't be more impatient!
The Sacred realm just barely gotten over its long crisis, and is still very unstable. Not only that, but most of its rulers are nothing but mere children. If the people were to find out, she wasn't sure if they could hold on. The balance of the realms after all have been distorted, and only the Jade empire was able to maintain their ranks. The Enchanted empire is totally wiped out, and Elemental and life empire barely survived with only the Sacred kingdoms.
Because of all of it, it was really dangerous to suddenly declare their come back, unless they're really that confident. It will definitely cause a major uproar in the whole empire!
However, what's done is done. Whether the news would spread fast or not, they still have not that enough power to do anything about it. If everything goes on their favor, the people will just sit quietly and bow to them, but if it did not, they will have to deal with a bigger problem of dealing with those who will rebel. Fortunately for them, the Clover rules is in their favor. If they would proceed wisely, everything could be easily be dealt with. Well, hopefully...
With a sigh, Sychi said, "Whatever, just don't get yourself into bigger trouble, we don't want any of you getting hurt..." she looked at them worriedly. It seems that they were a magnet for trouble, she can't help but feel anxious.
"How's Airi?" She asked.
"Err-doing fine!" Kishi quickly lied.
Knowing them for long, the two of them barely lies, and she knew well that they were dishonest. "Really?"
"Yes, really!" Kira aided her brother.
Sighing, she glared at them intensely, making the twins breakout in cold sweat.
"You silly children, I thought that you know very well that you can't lie to me."
The two of them were astounded and lowered their gazes guiltily.
"Although I 'am very happy that you two had finally found someone else to care for other than each other, but I believe that you shouldn't worry too much. Watching the two of you grow up, I know very well that you wouldn't give up until you achieved what you wanted, no matter what other say, or no matter how impossible it seems. So, I'll give you just one advice."
Startle in what she suddenly said, the two of them looked at her in bewilderment.
"Provide Airi what he really needs right now, and let him overcome the fear that he is suffering from. I believe so that you can do that." She told them. The two of them exchanging glances, more confused than before.
"Very well, I believe so that I should leave. The two of you, please look after each other, and look after Airi too."
After that, she disappeared again from sight, leaving the twins puzzled. It seems that they received another unexpected quiz from her again. The two of them could just stare at each other hopelessly.
Nisan...what do we do, I don't really understand what Sychi meant.
It's alright, I'm sure we'll figure things out eventually.
Sorry...
There's nothing to be apologizing about. None of this is your fault. I told you that already, didn't I?
Kira could only nod while biting her lip as Kishi caress her head gently.
...
For the whole day, Airi was still mad at them, ignoring the two of them completely.
The whole mansion felt really hopeless. It seems that their lord is still not himself.
They deeply worry. The mansion wouldn't be able to hold itself up like this. The family really needed him. They can't rely on Meijin as his hands is just as full, and they can't rely on the twins forever as well. They could only hope for the best.
Kishi, Kira, Airi and Celes were together in the study. Celes was being thought by the head butler, while Airi was sitting at the window seat, staring through the window. The twins were just beside him, trying to make up with him.
Kira kept calling out to him, but just ignored her. "Airi...AIRI!"
"What?" He turned to her and questioned her exasperatedly.
"Please Airi...we already said were sorry, Airi..."
Once again, Airi ignored her and just looked back at the window.
Kira on the other hand, was heartbroken. She doesn't like being ignored, and Kishi never ignored her before. Upset, she clenched her fist and bit her lip. She mumbled quietly just enough for her brother and Airi to hear.
"Fine..."
Tears then suddenly welled up in her eye. But instead of going in her brothers embrace and cry, she ran away weeping and not even throwing the two of them a glance.
"Kira!" Celes ran after her, but Kishi just remained where he is and shifted his gaze to Airi.
"You made her cry." He told him quite indifferently.
"So what? I never asked her too." Airi coldly replied to him.
Kishi clenched his fist but remained calm. He sat beside him and said,
"Kira cares about you, you know. Then again, it's not like you forced her too. But...that's what she is. I don't care whatever you say to me. But please don't hurt her feelings. That's all I ask."
Airi chuckled in what he said. "You two are ridiculous."
"We may be, but were just doing what we wanted. What about you, is this what you want?"
Airi was dumbfounded by his sudden question. Being honest with himself, he doesn't really know what he wanted. Right now, he's just confused. He is in a dead end, with nowhere else to go. He felt like standing on top of a single rock in the middle of a bottomless pit; stranded. He also felt like standing on the edge of a knife, one wrong move and he'll definitely fall. All he felt right now was confusion, sadness, loneliness, and fear. He doesn't even understand what he was living on for right now. But perhaps he was guilty that the life his parents gave everything they had for right now would be put to waste.
Because of it, he didn't look at him and just silently stare at the setting sun.
Kishi can only sigh in his silence. "What exactly are we here for Airi? You don't even know that we will always be here for you. We've gone through a lot; betted everything we had. So please, rely on us sometimes; tell us what's wrong. We may not be sure that we could help you, but we'll never know unless we try. Don't be afraid to ask, 'cause we both swore that we'll do anything."
Airi was shocked to hear what he said, and suddenly looked at Kishi who just smiled hopelessly at him.
He can't believe it. He can't believe that they would actually dare swore just like that for him as if it was nothing. But knowing Kishi, it may not be for him but for Kira, but the fact that Kira made him promise too meant that it was important not just to her, but for the both of them. Kishi just don't really know how to express himself or have his own desires other than everything for his sister. As a matter of fact, all his feelings and emotions were always because of her. But Kira on the other hand, knows what he really wanted that he can't understand. She's the one that expresses the feelings of the both of them for the others, while he can only express the feelings that is about her.
But to think, that they would add one more burden that is weighing them. One more chain that would bind them to him. It wasn't simple, even Kishi knows that well. They already have too many promises to fulfill already, the punishment for breaking just one promise is already worse than death. And having that many makes it impossible! Are they really that daring as to do that?! Alas, he should've gotten used to it by now.
