As days passed, Airi kept waking up from the same dream over and over and over again. He did not understand anything and can't still remember even a second of it.
A week after that, he woke up feeling as exhausted as always. Not getting enough rest because of that unknown nightmare. Staring at his bed's canopy, he placed his hand over his forehead and sighed heavily.
Standing up and looking at himself at a mirror, he looked utterly terrible. Large circles under his eyes and his face out of color. His look is so drained and tired. Though, he still looked pretty, it wasn't something that a mere child should have in his adorable face.
But what caught his attention wasn't how terrible he looked, or how gorgeous he still is despite of it. His eyes were glimmering brightly, not like its usual pink glow, but a something different. His eyes looked like a galaxy, vast and limitless, shining beautifully and elegantly with millions of stars, and a golden the of Leo in the center of it.
Surprised to see that his left eye looked different than it used to, and was very familiar. Somewhat like his late father's. He placed a hand on the mirror as if touching his galaxy like eye's reflection.
He might not know much, but he did have a bit of knowledge about it. That kind of unique eyes was possessed only by those of the Celestial children. Legend has it, that there is a total of eighty-eight children that were humans born from the Celestial world, the heavens itself, and was adopted to different families and grow in Harmonia.
And since there are eighty-eight children, there are also eighty-eight different kinds, unique to their own. Each and every one of them are from the constellations in the night sky. This power was then called as Ethereal.
They have this kind of power that is able to control the whole universe, that eventually lead the people of Harmonia to fear them. But after some time, they vowed to serve under the Enchanted palace and became their most loyal allies.
However, not so long ago, as people found out and wish to terminate this unworldly power once and for all, they managed to take out all the eighty-eight children while they are all noting but helpless infants.
Their predecessors were immortals, but they needed to replenish themselves, but the only way is too return to the Celestial world and born back again as infants in Harmonia. This process is very similar to reincarnation as they would not remember anything from their past lives, but a sacred ritual is needed to be done by the Celestial children every one-hundred-thousand years in order to be reborn.
And without the power of the Sacred palaces supporting them as the places themselves are facing great crisis, just like that, the children were all mercilessly annihilated from existence. Fortunately, one survived. And that child happened to be James who was adopted into the Darkrose family. When his adoptive father first found him, he immediately recognized who the boy really is and sealed his power to hide him from those who wished them dead.
And when he first found out about it, he lived with the responsibility to resurrect the all eighty-seven others by the use of the sacred ritual that needs to be done a hundred-thousand years from then.
However, what bothered Airi was the fact that he wasn't even born from the stars or whatever they said about that. What's more, he was a mere half blood. The only responsibility that he grew up with was his duty as the next and only heir of the Rosarose family. Little did he know about his father's responsibility that was now passed on to him. Still, that shouldn't be possible at all.
He moved his hand away and looked at his reflection once again. His left eye went back to it's normal rose-gold color, the eyes of the roses.
He thought that he must have been just hallucinating and shook his head as he tried to get his head out of it, as he prepared to go to class that morning.
He might not believe it much, but he wouldn't say so for sure. He wanted to know more, and the only way to find out was by reading the legend and its history itself.
And so, he was at the library scanning through every shelf, trying to find the book he was looking for. After an hour or so, he still didn't find anything and was hugging his knees while sulking. What did he expect actually? A single book like that wouldn't be easy to look for in a large library such as the one he is in now. It might also be that the book wasn't there at all.
He then thought of an easier solution. A sudden idea popped into his mind. If there's anyone who knows about it as much as he does, it will be Kishi and Kira. Strengthening his resolve, Airi made his way to the center most part of the library where the twins are usually are.
Kira was laying comfily on a fluffy bean bag with Fuffy in her arms as she read a book. Kishi was sitting on the soft carpet beside her, snuggling over some pillows as he focuses in controlling his magic by doing his homework. He controlled his quill with magic as it writes on its own over a pile of papers. Doing so seemed difficult by he's doing fine but he needs a lot of concentration to do it. And because of it, he was somehow pissed as Airi ruthlessly distracted him.
"What do you want" he said coldly as Airi intensely stared at him
The latter smile and replied cheerfully. "I wanna find out more about the Celestial kingdom"
Kishi and Kira exchanged glances before looking back at him. "You can't find anything about that here. The information can only be found within the Enchanted palace's grand library. And the other place is in the world of knowledge, and unless you have access to it, your only choice is in the palace. But if you really want to know, I suppose you have to wait for it till weekend." Kishi told him.
Airi was impatient. When he heard that he needs to wait for the weekends to come, he started to doubt whether he would still go for it or not. It was until Kira suggested something.
"Why not ask Zakia to fetch it for you?"
And so, the three of them went to Zakia and asked her a favor.
"I can't summon a book that I haven't seen before, and I highly doubt that I ever know anything about the Celestials."
Looking at their sullen faces as she said that, she considered them for a moment. She sighed. "...But if you know exactly where it is, maybe I can help."
This didn't change the mood though. Who in the right mind would know a book's exact location? Or so they thought before Kira spoke up.
"It's on the highest column of shelf number five-hundred-seventy-six-thousand-six-hundred-forty-four in Enchanted palace's grand library, subject: ancient legends. Err....did I said it right? I'm sorry I don't know how to define a books location properly...."
The others' mouth hung low as they stared at her in disbelief. They know all too well that a palace's grand library would be so vast and would probably contain millions of millions of books, yet this girl seemed to have memorized each and every single book and their exact location. Zakia is born from the family of books, yet Kira sounded more worse than her!
Barely managing to get a hold of herself, she said, "Er, I-It's alright. I guess I could get it for you after all. Just...hold on for a sec, okay?"
She then chanted a spell and a book appeared in her hand. Only for a short moment, the book fully materialized and she handed it to Airi. As he received it, Airi didn't take a second and hastily flipped through it.
As the three of them looked at him, worried expressions are seen on their faces. Unable to suppress her anxiousness, Zakia finally decided to voice out.
"Airi, don't you think it's a bit early to know about all this?"
He looked at her, bewildered. "What do you mean?"
"N-nothing, I just feel like you shouldn't know anything about it..." she said.
Airi continued to look at her, before he shifted his gazed back at the contents of the book. "I don't understand what's happening with all you guys, but I wanted to know. All of this makes me sick. I need answers"
"Aren't you afraid?" Kishi asked him
He shrugged. "Maybe, but things already started. There's nothing we could do about it, maybe we should just find out for ourselves."
"It's seems the Airi that I know is back" Kishi sighed
"I thought you said you like this part of me better?"
"Yes, but the other part of you makes it feel all nothing but fake"
