There it is again, waving at him, urging him to get closer. He's dead tired, really ready to give up and let the dark swallow him forever. But his feet refused to do so and his heart has that desire to try again and again, even if it will take forever for him to grasp that light. His mind's telling his body to just stop and take rest, but his heart eventually won. He tried to run faster and this time, it seems that he was able to cut the distance between them.
...
"How is he? Any changes?" the Doctor asked the nurse as soon as he entered the room. The nurse was surprised at how the Doctor looked, he's literally in a mess and not his usual self.
"Still the same," she answered in a low voice.
Suddenly, a chilly feeling engulfed the room that made the two subconsciously shiver. They both turned to look at the patient by instinct. The nurse's gaze was wondering if the patient's cold, while the Doctor's filled with worry. 'Here we go again,' flashed in his mind, remembering what happened in the other room just few minutes ago, or so he thought.
He just stood there and waited. It's better to wait, right, than to move and unintentionally provoke the patient with any kind of movement. The patient laid there with his eyes open and looking at them.
The nurse was the first to break the silence. "How are you feeling?"
"What happened?" he asked in return. The voice of his seemed unaffected by his very long sleep.
"KataigĂda, as Jeno called him, just woke up and was scared," the Doctor answered even before thinking about what he was asking. "Jeno and Vizhen are with him right now," he immediately continued when he saw the young man's brows furrowed.
"How about my other brother?"
"He's in the other room," the Doctor and the nurse just watched him remove everything that's connected to his body. It seemed like they can't voice out what they have in mind. The young man's aura is so strong and powerful that made them keep quiet, afraid that they might offend him in any way. The young man stood up after removing the needle from his arm. "Lead me to him."
The Doctor nodded and stepped out followed by the young man then the nurse. The Doctor opened the next room and it revealed another nurse who seemed to be frozen in place, standing like a statue with her back towards the door.
"Aello." The young man called out to the boy on the bed. He walked to the nurse's side and the Doctor realized that she was literally frozen.
'Oh, my God! What are they?' Fear started to spread inside of him.
The boy on the bed shifted and the chilly feeling in the room dissipated, temperature rising.
"Sky, where have you been? What took you so long?" Aello whimpered at the sight of his brother.
"I'm sorry. I was just in the other room," his voice was cold and flat, but gentle at the same time. He carried the nurse, princess style. "Now, release her."
"Okay," Aello snapped and the nurse went limp. Sky hander her over to the Doctor. "She'll be awake in a minute. Get her some warm water."
The Doctor acknowledged and moved out of the room followed by the speechless nurse still in shock.
Sky sat on the side of the bed and touched the young boy's face. "Don't do that again, okay?" "Okay."
"Get back to sleep. I'll stay here with you," he coaxed and Aello burrowed himself into the covers. Less than ten minutes have passed and he was deep in slumber again.
The Doctor came back and informed Sky that they will be transfered to the VIP building by sun break as requested by Jeno. Sky just nodded in response and the Doctor took that as a cue to leave.
