While the sun sets and the insects buzz, the sounds of the forest calms his soul. As he followed the water he found a shallow cave, "this should be a good place to rest" he said to himself, he started a fire to keep warm and got some sleep while he could. Thinking to himself of what this place is he still has no answers, "is this earth? what year is it? am i alone here?" the endless possibilities raced through his mind. He had one thought in his mind as he slept, "are my fallen comrades here as well? Could this be heaven, or is this hell?" As his eyes closed and his mind drifted off into his dreams, it was the first time his mind was at ease, "why cant i hear their screams when my eyes close anymore?"
The sun raised itself letting the rays of light split between the tree branches, the birds saying good morning to each other. "It wasn't a dream, i really have passed away." As he awoke to the morning sun he decided to go find some breakfast and start his journey to find something, someone, an unknown world to him is waiting to be discovered. After finishing his fish he decided to set off. Instead of following the water he climbed the biggest tree he could see, at the top the view that awaited him was magnificent, trees and wildlife for as far as the eye could see, the beautiful scenery reminded him of the Amazon, he remembered meeting local tribes in the Amazon rain forest. In the distance he could see a small clearing of trees, "if their is human life in this forest it should be there." with his destination set he was off.
Hours of walking later he reached the clearing, the smell of blood filled the air, he was familiar with the smell from the countless battles he fought in his past life. He slowly approached the clearing of trees, not breathing to hard, he was a master at stealth, with his presence erased he waited and watched. What he had seen surprised him, tiny huts made from trees and animal hide, boar corpses hung from some trees to drain the blood. "I wonder if this tribe is friendly, I don't have the knowledge to make enemies yet" as he laid in wait he spotted a group of men who seemed to return from hunting. "Now is time, I'm gonna attempt to converse with them." As he approached the men gathered and drew their bows and pointed their spears, slowly walking closes, the closer he got the more things he knew could go wrong. He stopped and took a kneel pushing out a weaved basket with fish in it. As the hunters inspected the fish he raised up. He could not understand the language but he knew he wasn't in trouble as of now, the weapons lowered, and the tribesmen waved him to follow. "I wonder what awaits me in the tent, the chief?" The start to a new life begins here.
