Bruce looked closely at a sign for school his emerald green eyes fixed to the paper, squinting. He then looked up from the paper, and there; his dear friend, Cora Woodson. Startled by her, his essay for school flew out of his hand, onto the concrete. She then bent down, and picked it up handing it back to him. Cora pushed her dark brown, silky hair back behind her ear smiled sweetly, and asked, "Sorry, I didn't mean to scare you, are you alright?" Her dark blue slim eyes glanced at his orange messy hair and back at him, making eye contact. "Sorry about that, Cora, I would have picked it up if you weren't so quick.." He awkwardly fidgeted with his hands, and said, "Bet we're late for school." He laughed faintly. "Come on then! Let's go! I hate awkward situations!" Cora laughed happily. They were both sixteen, and yet still knew what pain feels like... They both hurried to school knowing that today; would be hell.
