"What's going on" The other maids came rushing to the room the scream came from. They wanted to know what was going on and what would've caused an alarm of distress.
The girl was sobbing as she pulled her blanket to cover her chest. Haru quietly got off her, his mind sobering after he realized what he had done.
The girls whispered to each other as a few went to the crying girl's aid. "I'm very sorry" Haru said before leaving.

"Uhm...Master Haru" He diverted his gaze from his laptop to the young maid in front of him. She was the one he accidentally violated earlier that night.
"I'm sorry..."
"No need to apologize again" she quickly cut in "You don't need to do that at all."
He crossed his arms and leaned back on his chair thinking of a polite way to send her out.
"I know I'm disturbing but I just want to ask ..."
He raised a brow in preparation to hear her question.
"Thanks for your time sir" She bowed before leaving and he remained in his room angered by her visit. If she didn't have something better to say, she shouldn't have bothered in the first place.
He dressed formally once again despite it being a sunday. No one knew what he was going to do and questions were arising on his foul mood.
It was not of his nature to yell even if the maids did something wrong. That day, he was just acting different.
Only a few can recall his strange behavior. He normally acts strange on his birthday but his new attitude was on a whole different level. Why would he be angry on a day that wasn't in his birthday?
Everyone thought it was because he was still feeling embarrassed from his late night mistake. They've tried to assure him that it's alright but he'd shun them and tell them he wanted to be alone.
The world was rather gloomy to him. Not even Meilin could solve his problem. He completely ignored everyone around him before he stepped out of the house.
Meilin thought it was her fault and his attitude was only because she missed out on his party. She wanted to explain things to him ams at least try her best to happy again to pay up for missing out on his party.
She took a cab and asked the driver to follow his. It was a long and unknown drive until they stopped at a flower shop. She wanted to tell the driver to turn back because of her conclusion that it was relationship problems but, a part of her wanted to play curious cat and go deeper into the problem.
The cab continued to tail him until he pulled up and at a cemetery. She wondered what was going on as she paid the driver and steadily followed him from behind.
He stood in front of two grave stones and placed the flowers on top both of Them. Meilin watched from the distance slightly understanding all that was happening.
He sat down on a close bench and stared at the flowers as his eyes were welling with tears.
He sensed someone was staring at him. He looked around and met Meilin's eyes. She wasn't going to run this tims. Instead of doing something so stupid, she marched towards him.
He wiped his tears away and glared at her "Why did you follow me?" He asked expecting a reply but she slapped him instead of communicating in words.
"I spent a lot following you. You're supposed to welcome me" She sat down next to him and smiled "I know you wanted it to be me on that bed but let's not talk about it for now. What's going on here?"
"Meilin leave...please..."
"Leave? I should leave your life for good?" She asked swinging her legs "Is that really what you want or you want to tell someone something you've been hiding for years. It's your time to open up to me haru."
He clenched his fists embarrassed. He was crying not too long ago and she saw him. He wondered if his day could get anymore worse than it already was.
"Tell me please..." She placed her hand on his and he shyly looked away.
He took in a deep breath after he concluded to speak "My parents died on my birthday and it was all my fault...I promised to never celebrate my birthday but drop off flowers to show them how sorry I am for everything. They died because of my selfishness... if I didn't cause a commotion in the car maybe they would've still been alive. I've been doing this for years but yesterday i failed to do so."
"We all mess up in life Haru. Everyone is far from being perfect. I made my mom have a heart attack as soon as she found out i went ahead to marry Bao. She begged me not to get involve with him but I was blinded by love. I still get haunted by guilt whenever I try to imagine her depression. Now I'm getting punished for my sins..."
They both were quiet as they continued to look at the clouds and observe the slow shape shifting movements.
"I lost someone recently, well two years ago but I've been keeping this from the people I know because I feel ashamed to say it out."
"What is it?"
"I was pregnant but I lost my baby" As a mother she was filled with joy. She felt like a princess as soon as she saw the image of the baby in her womb.
She never expected to lose her so soon. Wave after wave of depression hit her and Bao wasn't helping. He didn't show any care or consideration to the situation. He didn't make any comments but just drank whenever she brought it up.
She wiped her tear away "I'm sorry..."
"I didn't know this was what happened to you in the past Meilin. It's my fault that you had to bring up such bitter memories."
"It's okay...I just want to tell you that it's normal to lose people in life. The strength to move on is what matters. I know I'll have another baby someday."
Haru sniffled as tears made way down his cheeks and he wrapped his arms around her body. He'd never told anyone his reason for misbehaving on his birthdays but now that he had opened up to Meilin, he felt relieved.
"It's okay to cry Haru. Let it all out" She pat his back as she hummed a song she sang to herself during her days of loneliness.
She was sure he'd find peace from the little song she called the light of heaven.
