Chapter 1 - Prologue

I could hear his steps growing distant as seconds passed by.

I could see nothing but darkness. I felt numb all over my body. I got a taste of my own blood. The room smells disgusting. But none of that matters.

I could hear the pounding of my heart against my chest as I could feel myself closing to my end.

I pounded weakly against the metal door.

"Babe, please open the damn door!"

I shouted, hoping he'd change his mind. Though I know better, I'd still try and reach out.

My limp body slipped over the door to the floor and I was brought on my knees buckled again like how I always did this past few weeks.

"I knew I shouldn't have said 'yes' at that damn party." I said to myself.

My mind drifted off to our first encounter.

Music was blaring all over the place. I've been surrounded by a crowd of people drunk, horny and intoxicated.

I'm dancing with the music, swaying my hips and raising my arms, sometimes shaking my hair.

I know I'm drunk and wasted. This isn't right, but who the hell cares?

I smiled to myself. I am a strong independent woman and I can decide for myself, I can handle this.

College sucks. But life within my family's house sucks even more.

I felt someone hold onto my waist as I swayed my hips with the music. It felt right for those hands to be placed there. Rough, strong and big.

My smile broadened even more. I swayed my hips more against his. I could feel his hold tighten a little.

The last thing I remember was me dancing by the dancefloor with this stranger. I don't know when I was put inside a car, making out with the very same man.

His kisses were long, rough, enticing and addicting. I wanted more. I needed more. More of him, of his touch.

He suddenly stopped and looked at me straight in the eye, while I was still laying my back against his car's leather seat.

I don't remember how he looks like with lights on, but I know he was beautiful even in the dark.

'Would you be mine?' he suddenly asks.

Feeling in the moment, I answered.

'Yes.'

And I never knew I'd regret it so much.

My thoughts were interrupted with a sudden knock by the door. Before I could even shout for help, somebody slid a phone below the metal door.

"Call the police. Never mention his name. Get out of this town." said the man, I don't think I've ever heard of his voice before.

"How do I know this isn't a trap? If you really want to help me, why don't you just open the damn door?"

I know it was a bullshit to question the man even when he's helping me, but I just couldn't help but doubt.

"You know very well how much he doesn't trust anyone, especially with his keys." Said the man and I heard his steps as he walked away.

"Thanks." I muttered, even when I knew he wouldn't here any of it.

I fumbled against the phone as I typed 911 and called.

I heard the sound of sirens all over the place as my sight suddenly tilted and everything goes black.
