Humans are cowards. Each one of them has a fear. A fear that haunts them. A fear that makes them weak, fragile to their opponents.
To see the fear in those eyes of my enemies, it's such a satisfying feeling.
The more she quivers and shakes with the dreadful outcome of the upcoming future, the more it fills me up with joy.
I might as well call myself a sadist.
O poor Isabell! You most certainly picked the wrong person to start a fight with. I'll make sure that your life is ruined by the time I reach my sweet palace.
" Her highness the queen, pardon me for the delay. I have returned with your drinks." Our miss waitress is here. Look at her. She is doing such a fine job just as she was meant to be.
" Ah! There you are, Lady Silvia. Thank you for bringing us the drinks. How nice of you." As I was sweet taking with Silvia, my eyes were giving the signals, to my dear friend Kathryn.
It wasn't a coincidence that Kathryn was sitting opposite of mine. This was all part of my little plan.
Hearing my sweet words, Silvia eased up a little. She was getting her confidence back. Although the little helper of witch had no idea about the misfortune she was going to encounter.
Silvia stepped her foot forward to hand me over the glass of drink. But she tripped over, making the drink splash on me. The ladies were busy focusing at our faces which was why my plan went smoothly.
It was Kathryn who stepped her foot down on the dress of Silvia. She had hold it so tightly that Silvia's body lost control over her balance. Thus the drink splashed on me. Now it's my turn to lit up some fire in here.
" How dare you! This is such a dishonourable behaviour! You dare to humiliate me in front of the crowd, Lady Silvia ? " I roared loudly making the room filled with my echoed voice. Before she gets a chance to speak up I have to act fast. I can't let her explain herself.
When we were about to enter the room I told Kathryn to look for an opportunity where I can bait these ladies. Keeping that plan in my mind I asked Silvia to bring the drinks. When I gave off the signals Kathryn understood it then acted quickly. This could have been a total failure if Silvia's dress got torn apart.
So, Kathryn had to make sure that she wasn't applying too much of her strength on the dress.
On the other hand these dresses were so large that people would often loose their balance.
That's why they take classes to learn how to walk properly. Even I had to work so hard to maintain my balance when I wore the dresses.
Silvia was wearing a huge dress which only became a beneficial thing for me. Kathryn kept her left foot on the edge of the dress. As Silvia felt that she was being pulled in the opposite direction she lost her balance. It was a simple task, performed neatly by us.
Now I have to hide the whole incident.
" I wouldn't dare to do such thing, my queen.... I-I ... it's a mistake-" Silvia started to stammer. Her throat was all dried up in terror. I was having a hard time keeping my laughter in control.
Although when those tragic memories of past run through my head, I get flamed with the fire of revenge.
" Shut your mouth! You spilled that drink intentionally to humiliate me. You wanted to take revenge for your dear friend, Eleanor. Do take me for a fool. I can see clearly through your lies. " I didn't backed away or toned down my voice. My furious rage was making the ladies loose their composure.
" Please listen to me-" She begs frantically. The terror, the panic, the fear of an unknown calamity shook her whole body.
" What's happening here? " Well, well, well. Look, who decided to show up! Just the right person I needed at this moment for my final act.
" Your majesty, you have came at the right moment. Look at me, look how I am being humiliated. " Making a puppy eyes look I complained to my husband, Timothy.
As much it makes me gross and creeped out by pretending like a helpless person, I had no other option left.
" Your dress...." His eyes roamed around me, observing the situation. The gentle shine of those eyes had tuned to dark with tremendous rage.
" Yes, it was done by Lady Silvia. She had grudges against me but to think that she would go this far, to see me in distress. I'm shocked. " I know that I was trying to act like Lucinda since the moment I came here.
But I will have to quit it. Timothy needs to see that the old Lucinda he knew, is changed for good. After suffering everything in her life, she decided to change herself.
Lucinda's character is not like this. She's the type of person who would forgive someone easily. She would avoid any type of quarrel, even hide the matter if it is needed. She would suffer the humiliation even if it isn't her fault.
That is just totally.....stupid.
Doing something wrong is a crime indeed. But when you hide the wrong doings of someone else it is also considered as a bigger crime. You are not doing any saint like task by hiding it. That's not kindness, that's just your stupidity!
" Your majesty, it was not my intention to spill the drink-" With a horrified look, Silvia tried to speak up.
" Silence!" Timothy yells at Silvia with a disgust filled gaze. His single word stopped the chirping noise of the ladies who were busy talking to themselves. In fact Isabell was looking like a scaredy-cat, hiding herself into the crowd.
He continued again as there were pin drop silence, " Do not utter a single word. Your actions will be judged soon. Be sure to be prepared for the worse." With that he ended the night and also her happy life.
Timothy had gotten very angry. He only grabbed my hand, escorting me out from that room. Kathryn's husband was standing near so, she went back to her husband. After waving me goodbye, we left on separate ways.
I went to the carriage, having my hand held by my husband. His grip was firm. Perhaps he's still mad about what just happened today. The whole ride felt awkward.
I pretended to sleep which was the best way for avoiding any sort of unwanted conversation. Even though my eyes were shut tightly, I felt his sharp gaze burning up on my skin.
The carriage halted. I'm guessing that we have reached the royal palace. But the main question is, should I open my eyes now?
It will not be a good idea to just wake up this instance. Timothy will know that I was pretending to be sleeping.
Oh boy! What should I do? Keep acting like I'm sleeping?
Ugh!!!!! Damn it!
Just shake my body or call out my name!!! Aren't we gonna get out from here? My back is killing me!
Every second was like a minute. The suspense is getting on my nerves. Suddenly I felt that my body was being lifted by someone.
Uh-oh.
Okay so, it seems that he's carrying me in bridal style. Great.
My floating body touched the soft warm bed. Finally I can sleep peacefully. No need to act any more. I sighed in relief. Although a new problem arises.
Thing is, I was still in my dress, wearing that tight-ass corset along with the heavy jewelleries. I'll have to put off all that. The jewelleries were making my skin itchy. I really need to take them off. Once this douche bag goes to sleep, I'll get changed.
That was my plan until I felt someone's hand on my body. Timothy began to remove my ornaments in such a gentle manner, making sure that I won't get up. His hands were cold like ice. I can't help but feel touched by his sweet gestures.
He's not a bad guy after all.
Followed by those heavy ornaments, Timothy undid my dress, making my breathing lighter. His hands were so soft on my skin.
Those cold hands made my body relax. When they touched my sensitive areas I felt a string of electric wave ran all over me. A strange feeling that I never noticed before.
The rivers of desire flooded, breaking the walls of shame. The mind and body were being misled by this cruel desire of mine. A desire so sinful. Yet it overjoyed me, filling my youth with delight.
Somehow I forgot that I hated this very person and his existence.
I am such a hypocrite. A fool.
" I'm so sorry Lucy. I guess, I failed to protect you again and again. It's all my fault." Timothy begun to talk on his own. Although those words were definitely addressed to me.
Did he find out that I'm not sleeping ?
Crap!
" You have changed... you don't behave the same like before. Which is also my fault. After all I didn't trust you, I doubted you and left you when you needed me the most. Am I even worthy of your love?" Seriously is he really taking to me? Or talking to himself? I'm kinda getting anxious.
And what's with these crappy sentimental lines?
Dude, you deserve it. You lost your dear wife. The one you once loved. She won't be coming back in your life, ever again. I may pretend to love you but you will never be loved again. Well I'm not really surprised that Timothy is noticing the changes.
At least he knew the true nature of Lucinda. By the time I am done with my revenge, he will understand that old Lucinda is gone forever. So, I can only show him little bit of sympathy. After all he did loved his wife.
Men are just fools. They only believe what they see. Or maybe it's not just men. Humans are so dumb to trust their eyes. May it be a woman or a man.
